I was greeted by the lady working at the register and asked what time my appointment was. I was assigned to Ms. Samara and led to her work station. Ms. Samatra, Cosmetology student, a sweet young lady, who is all business and appeared to me some what shy and timid. She had a sweet smile and very polite. Her instructor was Ms. Hillary, Cosmetology Instructor, really friendly, kind smile, and very polite. Ms. Samara, asked me how I wanted my haircut alongside her instructor. Once I told her how I wanted my haircut she looked to Ms. Hillary, who gave a quick demonstration to Ms. Samara, in how to begin my haircut. Ms. Samara, to her time cutting my hair and if she had a question, she would look to her instructor for instructions. For a student, Ms. Samara, did an outstanding job and I was well pleased with my haircut. I told her that she should be proud of her work. My haircut speaks to the outstanding job she did. I apologize to Duvall's School of Cosmetology, because try as I might I could never get her qr code to work.

They listen, really, Listen, to what you want. The students cut my daughter's hair, but Maria or her son are always right there supervising, teaching, fixing, etc, all the things an instructor should be doing. Maria cuts my hair and I always leave happy. This place isn't close or convenient to my house, but it's totally worth the drive. I love the multi-cultural experience. Not sure how to describe that, but it's just neat being in an environment that really, truly welcomes all ethnicities and knows how to handle all those different hair types. I'm loving watching this business grow bigger and better through the years!

Reluctantly I agreed, since my normal salon is in Austin. So I made an appointment & from the minute I walked into the salon to the time I walked out, they made me feel like a movie star. They were all so sweet & gracious, & beautiful. Patty, the instructor, is absolutely amazing & really knows her hair. Anyone needing to get their roots done, these are the gals to do it! After they were done, they styled my hair so cool & for everything they did, it was so inexpensive. I'm thinking about driving up here again, just to get my hair done!! I have just found the greatest little treasure in Irving for haircuts and facials. I went to…read moreAdvanced Beauty College on Beltline Rd across from Wendy's. Their address is 3959 N Beltline. I walked in for the first time and was greeted like I have been going there forever by the instructor Roseanne Clifford. I asked her how much a haircut cost and she said that it was haircut Thursday and instead of $6 they were only $5. She also told me that on Thursdays facials were only $12. Sweet deal. I took her up for a facial and haircut. Sharmila done my facial and she done a fantastic job. Her facial was as good or better than facials I have paid $50 for. I will be going back every Thursday for a facial and save myself a lot of money. Kripa cut my hair. Really all I needed was a little trim. She double checked with me about how much I wanted cut off and did exactly what I wanted. I asked for only 1/2 inch taken off and that is what I wanted. Some places I've gone to in the past when I asked for a 1/2 inch trim they took off an inch or more. If I could give Advanced Beauty College 10 stars I would. They are that friendly and good. Don't forget to check out all their specials. They have a different set of specials every day.

And my next appointment would have been a 3rd. Simple because either the student left or kept being unavailable for personal reasons. Well not anymore. After having gone to the school numerous times without a single issue. Now they no longer work with males. So with having a scheduled appointment I was called and told we will not work with you anymore unless you know your specific stylus. Well I've been bounced around so much and the person who I was scheduled with left I don't know anyone. But apparently within the hour they made a sexist discriminatory rule to no longer work with males. Now I received the first call from a receptionist and asked for a call back from an actual person who can answer legitimate questions. The person who called me back didn't do that. I have a right to be upset. What ended up happening is the beyond rude person who contacted me back refused to admit the new practice was both sexist and discriminatory. Basically said you don't like it go somewhere else. Took the stance on we have the right to refuse service to anyone. And that is true and that's fine. But the reality you are limiting the students the ones you're actually trying to teach. I've don't nothing wrong in anyway shape or form. I don't know why this has come about but the way this was handled was beyond unprofessional. As a paying customer. Due to the numerous rescheduling I've allowed. ( today was the first time I had to reschedule ) It is better I go somewhere else. Now for those who plan on going to this school. Be cautious. It is apparent your teachings will be limited. This review will be posted in as many places as possible. I am determined to make others aware of the complete disrespect I experienced for no reason from this establishment.
