About 2 minutes into my search, a worker approached me asking for my name and afterwards said it was because she thought I had an appointment. (?) Shortly after, another worker sweeping asked me if I needed help. Mind you, she didn't ask the woman next to me that question. That's when I started feeling uneasy. I headed to the cash register to proceed with my purchase. Immediately after I paid for my items the guy working the register spoke to his mic "I already did" I was already feeling monitored and to make matters worse, as I was walking towards the exit, the security guard was looking at me and the worker who first asked for my name waved him off and proceeded to wish me a "good night" I don't understand why all four workers acted the way they did, but it made me feel targeted that they were monitoring my shopping behavior when I was simply browsing. The problem is the receipt paper is so low quality that by the end of the year, it already turned black and pictures, It's impossible to find all your pictures of all your receipts with all the pictures that we take throughout the year, they just need to update their system, to make it easier for the customer's to be able to see their purchase history of each year. I have this problem with them for years.

Based on that confirmation, I made roughly a one-hour drive to the store the following day. When I arrived, however, I was told that they did not have my order. I had received no email, phone call, cancellation notice, or other communication indicating that there was an issue with my order. The only communication I received from Le Labo was the email telling me it was ready. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way the situation was handled once I arrived. I was not given a clear explanation as to why an order that had been confirmed as ready was suddenly unavailable, and I actually had to ask whether I would be receiving a refund rather than having that information proactively explained to me. I understand that inventory or order issues can happen. However, sending a customer a confirmation that an order is ready for pickup when it isn't, especially when that customer makes a significant trip based specifically on that confirmation, is a major inconvenience. For a premium brand like Le Labo, I expected much better communication and customer service. A refund simply returns the money for a product I never received; it doesn't address the unnecessary time, travel, and inconvenience caused by the incorrect pickup confirmation. I hope Le Labo looks into what happened and provides an appropriate resolution, because this experience was far below what I expected from the brand.
