I've been using L'Occtaine for longer than I can remember. I first was introduced to this product while staying at the grand Wailea in Hawaii. After I visited my first boutique, I was hooked and have used it ever since. Two products I greatly appreciate our cade, shaving cream, and the hand lotion. Simply the best, and nothing compares having tried other brands over the years. We have visited most stores throughout Southern California. However, the location inside the Crystal Court at South Coast Plaza absolutely is our favorite store. It's always well stocked, and the staff is extremely pleasant and friendly to work with we have visited several times and have had the pleasure of meeting the store manager, Tiffany. She truly understands the value of developing relationships and has the knowledge to support the quality and products she sells and represents. Darwin, the blonde cashier, wasn't as friendly to me versus the customer that had just paid before me. The previous customer was asked to provide her phone number for points and on top of that was also offered free samples. I was expecting something similar, but was treated with much less enthusiasm. They need friendlier and more helpful staff. I love the products and I live on Oahu but I wanted to refill my products while I was on vacation, so I could take advantage of the Black Friday. Excellent customer service! Tiffany helped me put together the perfect gift with the Rose scent: Body wash, Lotion, Soap Bar, and Hand Cream. She even packed it into a luxurious gift box, put in in a gift bag with gift tissue, and sprayed the inside of the bag with the Rose scent so it was very aromatic. I was very impressed with the presentation of the final product. This store is located in the other side of South Coast Plaza; not the main bustling one. read more

I pulled up the actual website that displayed the free gift offer IN THE FRONT CENTER. Don't know why she had to act like I was begging for gold or something when it's advertised on the website. I use to use origin products and I stop use some. But I've switch over alot of things like facial cleanser and face lotions. Loccitane stuff are very good quality and they smell really nice. The price isn't that much different from origin or fresh either. Definitely worth taking a look if you aren't satisfy with what you are using currently! I came here to check out their selection of products, as I had heard quite of bit about them and their competitors like Aveda, Kiehls, Dermalogica, Clinque, Shiseido, L'Oreal lines, Estee Lauder lines, and Crabtree. In an effort to figure out what I like, what skin care is really about, and what these places are all about I figured South Coast could be a great learning ground for such consumerism. You'll find this location in Crystal Court near the Crate & Barrel and Williams Sonoma, and across from the main mall. Parking is quite easy and the shop is located on the second level. I started to talk to the lady behind the counter, Roma, who broke the whole speech down to products, their lines, and went into the tried and true vs. the new products bit. She then retreated back to her work, and let me take my sweet time looking at everything in this museum du moist. I found that while they did have a clearance section of some nice products, their mainstay hand creams were up front and everywhere. Supplemented by shampoos, serums, scrubs, eye care stuffs, lotions, masques, fragrances, and like items, there's a lot of sift through. Primarily, you'll have an opportunity to sift through a ton of scents, including their unique (and very manly, I think) men's line of fragrances and Cade products. The second I was ready with questions, Roma was right there and very helpful. While the Shea Butter Hand Cream (blue label in metal tube) is their most (and extremely) popular item, you'll find other very popular scents such as lavender and verbena. What was unique about their products was that it wasn't as greasy as many other brand's moisturizers. It absorbed quite quickly, and left a very light scent so as not to bother, let's say, your coworkers. As a visitor, I advise you take your time and check them all out. Who knew I'd leave with some of the cool hand cream and little goodies. I have heard that, and for the conscious consumer, if you sign up for their mailing list via email that you'll get a 20% off coupon within two weeks. So all their stuff will be a bit less painful when you go to pay their stiff prices. read more

Finally they put chairs so i can sit my ass down and wait for my girlfriend to shop. Ever since I found out that it is illegal in France to add chemicals to cosmetics and skincare products, I've been a fan of L'Occitane. They are pricy but it is worth it because they sell quality products. I buy this stuff for my wife and she loves it! I recommend going in and talking to the employees. They are more than willing to discuss the various creams, lotions, and soaps. I came into Crystal Court tonight after work to buy a present for a friend. Since I work close by scp I am usually feeling pretty stressed out shopping after work but the stress melted away when I stumbled upon L'occitane (after having no luck at other stores) . The main reason why I felt so at ease here was because of the service. Tina helped me tonight and she was super friendly, kind, and didn't make me feel smothered by over attentiveness. I really appreciated that she also went the extra mile to help me find a gift for my friend that was within my budget, and tried to find the matching lotions (to the set I got for my friend) so that I could smell them. She even went an even extra mile to package it up professionally and beautifully. I feel excited to give this gift :D I really am so grateful for the service, especially when shopping these days seems so stressful and you're made to feel like you're bugging the associates in the stores. First I I was looking for lavender scent , and visited the store browse without any pressure , yet I felt welcome. Soon after I came back for eye serum and eye cream, then I was taken care of by Ashley, she was friendly and accommodating . More samples came I got Immortelle Divine in the samples and of course! I came back right away to buy the serum and cream. Once again Ashley was super helpful, and friendly. For some reason I couldn't apply a disk I t on line but she made sure everything was correct and and granted me the discount at store. Very delighted by her service and attention. L'Occitane is now open in Crystal Court! It is a great new edition to the smaller side of South Coast Plaza. The whole store smells like the south of France. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. She was so quick to help me find a resolution for my dried nails and horrid cuticles. They have a wondrous one minute scrub followed by shea butter and then a cuticle oil. Very amazing! You can treat yourself to a mini-hand wash! As for the store itself, yes Sephora does carry this brand, however not to the extent this store has. I have always had great experiences with L'Occitane in other locations in Southern California, but this was a departure from their usual great customer service. My wife went in to pick up a few things and was treated like she was a leper by the woman at the register. Aubrey had nothing but attitude for my wife and made my wife feel like she was not welcome. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she was having a bad day, but we saw her switch on her winning smile and warm touch for other customers that were blonde and blue eyed. When my wife called her out and asked for her name she tried to throw some free samples at her to smooth things over. Sad to see that there are folks like Aubrey still out there that make assumptions about your bank account based on the color of your skin. We won't be returning. read more

On Aug 18th I went to this store to purchase a bar of shea butter soap. I was subjected to the hard sell by Adriana. She suggested verbena soap. I told her I didn't like the way it smelled. She insisted "This is our most popular scent." After smelling several scents, I couldn't tell the difference so I ended up with a $12 bar of verbena. I took it home, unwrapped it and placed it in the shower. I never used it because it stunk up the bathroom. On Aug. 21 I went back to the store and spoke to Rhona. She refused to make good on this bad sale and kept insisting that verbena was "mild." When I customer tells you they don't like a scent you need to listen and not force it on them. There are many other stores like this and I will never buy another thing from them. read more
