While the store is open until 7pm, I have been trying to get in for the last 45 minutes with no luck. A staff member left the store, came back 15 minutes later, only to shut the gate again, stay inside a couple more minutes, and then leave AGAIN (with the gate partially open). 10 other people have since joined me outside waiting to get in with no help or person in site. I had planned to make a pretty large purchase here today, so it's a total bummer by this experience. On top of that, the last three or so times I've come, the cold and aggressive energy of staff has made me not feel welcome, nor encouraged me to want to make much of a purchase here. For a metaphorical store ROOTED in energy... this one sure has a bad one!

We had a quick wait, and were lucky to be assisted by Jorge. Jorge has such a fun personality. He really listened to my preferences, and showed me items that I was describing. As I gave feedback to refine what I was looking for, he led me to EXACTLY what I was looking for. We even had a sweet moment where he tested to make sure my selfie stick would fit into my new purse. Priorities! I can tell Jorge was very passionate about the brand. He was even showing me different ways I can change the straps to dress up or dress down my purse for different occasions. While we waited for my new purse baby to be wrapped up, Jorge brought us sparkling water to enjoy while we waited. Jorge was also very thorough. He went to the back to get me a new purse and opened it to let me check the quality, stitching, zipper, etc before it was wrapped up. I truly felt like a valued customer with Jorge at YSL. I can't say enough to praise how meaningful he made my shopping experience. I did the store's survey, but wanted to continue to sing his praise with this review. But I needed to get something for her birthday today and that's the reason I ended up getting it at this location. So I walk in I had just gotten of work and I was parched they didn't offer me anything to drink while the only other lady in the store was drinking a whole glass of champagne and all the sales associates were standing around doting on her. When the sales associate wrapped the item up the dust bag literally looked dusty and the box looked dirty but I also overlooked that. Then when they went to wrap it up they put the gift in a giant bag that looked like a takeout bag for food- it was so ugly and I could never gift it in a bag like that! I asked if they could put it in a bag with ribbon on it (mind you I could see bags with ribbon behind the counter) and they said they didn't have any. I felt a very judgmental vibe from the employees and no one was very nice. Considering I was a super easy client and I know my sales woman (Judy) got commission off of my sale you would think they would be a lot more accommodating. I've never gotten treated like that at a luxury store before and I will not be back to this location. It's a terrible look for the brand, and makes me want to go to a whole different store all together!
