I rarely write reviews but when I say this has been the BEST experience I have ever had at a salon it definitely was. Lauren is by far the kindest most transparent and trustworthy stylist I have ever met. From the start she was quick at replying and her communication by far unmatched. I was impressed with her transparency in every aspect. She was honest about both her ability to achieve what I wanted along with her recommendations for me given my current hair health. For Lauren, keeping my hair healthy and reaching my hair goals were at the top of her priority. I never once felt uncomfortable, and the entire appointment felt super personable. She was also super honest about the price and what upkeep would look like- and that is a conversation that can sometimes feel taboo but not with her. She is such an amazing stylist and her ability to make you feel welcomed and clear minded with what to expect is by far the best I've ever experienced. I will most definitely be coming back and I look forward to seeing her as my future stylist because that is just how good she is. The vibes were TOP TIER and I am super happy with how my hair came out! I went in looking for a balayage and wanted to go blonde but after a very thorough consultation with Lauren (with complimentary snacks) we decided on a more brownish look since I had lots of box dye and she don't want to fry my hair. Of course she provided a range of options if I did want to go blonde that same day, such as adding highlights or doing a baby foil (which she was so kind to explain what everything meant and how that would look maintenance wise along with price!). In the end I decided to just follow up later on to go lighter! The whole time she does not at all make you feel pressured or uncomfortable or tries to up-sale anything- she even told me that if I loved it and didn't want to do another appointment that that was totally okay too- there was absolutely no pressure! For my personal hair I ended up paying around $290 and considering the entire appointment and the thoroughness of it, I felt the price was more than justified! What a great experience at L. Rose Salon. Lauren transformed my look! I had gone to another salon in the area 4 months ago for highlights/balayge and had a coppery tone. Just wasn't in love with the color or look on me. I was going out of town so wanted to fix it and found L. Rose Salon and she had amazing reviews on Yelp. Definitely lives up to them. I asked Lauren for suggestions and she had the perfect combo for me. My hair looks and feels fabulous!!! Great color, great cut and style. Lauren answered my Yelp request even though it was after hours and was able to bring me in the next day for a consultation. I had previously gone to another salon for "balayage" but ended up with something very different and not at all what I had wanted. Lauren listened, was kind and comforting, and we discussed an action plan for addressing my hair. She hadn't planned on doing anything to my hair that day, just consulting, but after some discussion she did a quick toner and it made a huge difference in the overall color and tone of my hair. I'll be going back in a few weeks to have the rest of the style and color fixed. I am so grateful to her. She LISTENS and asks lots of great questions, and you can tell she truly cares about her clients and wants them to be happy. Truly above and beyond. I came to Lauren with severely over processed hair. After going to two "top" salons in Charlotte over the past six years I saw a large number of turn over, never able to bond with one person and while I knew the highlights were not healthy for my hair I was never given healthier options. I knew it was time to for a change to save my fried hair. When I read the reviews that Lauren listened and had helped others in a similar hair crisis, I decided to try it out. Two visits in now, I am sure I have found my new stylist! Lauren did in fact listen and gave honest suggestions on how to improve my hair. The first visit we took a step away from bleach and after the second visit my hair looks the shiniest it has in years! In addition to the color expertise, the cut looks great and although a good stylist is never cheap Lauren does not try to sell you on items in fact she has offered multiple ways to help me save money. Lauren seriously knows what she's doing with my hair color. My hair is mostly gray and problematic. She knew exactly what she needed to do to correct my problem and the color. I told her what I wanted and she put together a beautiful shade for me and figured out how to make it even (actually needed a couple of different shades for the stubborn gray). I have been seeing Lauren for a year now. I came to her after moving from Chicago and having a few bad experiences being new in Charlotte. My hair was so damaged and I was so nervous walking into our first appointment. Lauren has transformed my hair!!
