I've pretty much been a client from the start. Most recently, I asked Mary to cut my thick wavy hair into a chic short style. That was last summer. I get compliments on my hair all the time, yesterday from a waitress in Matthews, today from a professional financial planner. After receiving haircuts…read morefor myself and my daughter, the salon later attempted to retroactively charge us more because of our hair type--something they were fully aware of before the appointment. I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.

You can tell that she truly enjoys her craft of hair cutting, coloring, and styling. I was very happy with my end result. I got a hair cut and partial highlights. I was especially happy that my hair was still soft shiny and manageable afterwards. After the previous person that did my all over highlights my hair was dry, brittle and damaged and it took a month of at-home conditioning treatments to fix it. Not so after leaving Studio B!
