They have the biggest popcorn kernels! So much better than movie theatre popcorn. If I was gutsy, I would sneak this into the movie theatre. I usually get the basic popcorn with butter. That's it. Occasionally I would get the Avalanche flavor popcorn. It's cheesy. But they sure do have a ton a flavors that I would try if I wasn't so basic. This store is unfortunately located on Dillingham Boulevard at Kapalama Plaza. If you didn't know, Dillingham Boulevard is an absolute construction zone with no left turns allowed. But if you take the back roads, you can get into the shopping center pretty much ok. There's usually one person working. They are always friendly. The store itself is simple. You walk in and see the popcorn machine. ON one wall is different types of Chinese crack seeds and dried fruits like mango. On a small wall are nuts and cotton candy. Above that are two monitors with flavors for bubble tea drinks. But again, I only get popcorn. So this review is just for popcorn. Me and my girlfriend went to buy popcorn here at this location. This is a location that my girlfriend frequents all the time and has always gave good reviews about their popcorn. This particular day, a female was working. When my girlfriend received her popcorn, the first thing I noticed was that the bag was not warm. The worker was popping popcorn and it seemed like we would have a fresh batch of popcorn. But when we got home and ate from the bag, we were very disappointed because the popcorn was very stale. We also ordered a drink that was supposed to be a smoothie but instead my girlfriend received something that was very watery. What she charged my girlfriend also wasn't the right price. She charged my girlfriend for a large cup when my girlfriend ordered a medium because the worker informed my girlfriend that they didn't have a size medium when there were medium cups by the cash register. it's very disappointing that my girlfriend has always given this place good reviews to me because I am from a different island, but this particular day was very disappointing. I hope that worker learns to have better customer service because at the end of the day that really helps a small business thrive, especially in Hawaii! read more

I've passed by this place many times and finally had the chance to stop my with my hubby and kids on a Monday around 4:30pm. It was quiet inside with just one worker, a young lady. I asked if she was there all day alone and she said yes. It is a family run small business and she was holding down the fort that day. She said she didn't mind and just watched videos on her phone to pass the time when it was slow, lol. There are a couple of small tables and chairs in the store that we sat at while we waited for our order to be made. We snacked on some of the cinnamon glazed nuts, we purchased pecans and Mac nuts. Usually I prefer pecans but actually liked the Mac nuts better. The popcorn flavors we got were the popular Volcano (classic buttered popcorn, kaki mochi, and furakake) it needed salt imo but I appreciated the freshly popped popcorn for sure. The Japanese Matcha (kettle corn with butter, furakake, matcha powder, and kaki mochi) I liked this one better because it had more flavor. The matcha powder with the sweet kettle corn paired well together. We also ordered 4 different drinks that were all delicious. I got a lemon oolong tea with 75% sweetness and it was very refreshing. I don't remember everyone else's orders but I did try them all and liked everything but mine was my favorite lol. The freshly popped popcorn is best eaten right away to avoid it going stale while the kettle corn stayed fresh for a couple days. Love this popcorn! Recently ordered for a company event - we got the 12 lb popcorn bags. Ordering is really easy and you can order ahead and email them for your pick up date. I was hosting a private movie screening event of Moana 2 for both grade levels and needed 110 bags of popcorn. Best local popcorn on the island in my opinion.... They have a variety of flavors to choose from (my favorite is the tsunami) and they pop it fresh for you right there in house!!!! Located at Kapalama shopping center they have lots of parking. Just a small local shop. When I went recently the service was friendly and quick but the employee helping me was on her phone the entire time and it was on speaker which was a bit strange / annoying. I went to Wing Stop and noticed that this popcorn shop had opened next door. I've bought a few times from them at their Pearlridge location. I always get the Volcano which contains butter, furikake and mochi crunch. It's also known as the hugely popular Hurricane popcorn. At this store store they also sell candy, seed, bagged popcorn, nuts and drinks. There was a sign by the door that said that you could get a drink for $2.99 with any popcorn purchase. I decided to go with this combo. I got the small Volcano popcorn with the lychee smoothie. I asked the girl making the popcorn to pop be a new batch. I wasn't sure how long that popcorn had been sitting there and didn't want it to be stale. She did pop me a new batch and then made my smoothie. For some reason when I got home the popcorn was still a little stale even though it was a new batch. The lychee smoothie was really good. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice lychee flavor. They have two other locations one is inside the Windward Mall next to Panda and the escalator. The second location is located in Pearlridge next to Champ (Downtown). This is a great deal considering a drink starts at $4.75. And there are 3 options for types, smoothie, milk tea and fruit tea. And the drink can be a large or medium size. They offer their usual popcorn menu of 6 special flavors in 3 different bag sizes. You could also go plain or customize your own. There are also premade popcorn leis and specialty popcorn sold in 3 different bagged sizes. Along with tubs of premade cotton candy and cinnamo glazed/ roasted nuts. There is also candy and various packaged snacks sold. The female worker who helped me was very sweet and polite! I opted to try a drink with their special combo deal. I asked her which drinks were popular and she mentioned for milk tea that it was the black tea. She made my drink first and then I sipped on that while I waited for my popcorn. I got the Large Black Milk Tea, 25% sugar, with Boba. This was super delicious. And definitely gave me sooo much life (: the sugar level was perfect! The boba was also nice and chewy, slightly sweet. Was introduced to this location of Li Iniki Popcorn by my brother-in-law. I've had eaten the popcorn from their Pearlridge and Windward Mall locations. Both locations, the popcorn was hit or miss. Today, I got to try the popcorn at their newest location. it was a hit. Buttery and freshly made. At this location, they have a small selection of Chinese seeds and Boba drinks. I shared a lychee boba drink with my wife. Cool and refreshing with a good lychee flavor. The owner kept offering my wife samples of the Chinese seeds. After paying for 2 large bags, I watched her pop our orders then two women, a young man, and an older male a portion of the serving. We received the remainder. It was the quantity we'd pay for for a medium bag. So, I asked her about it. She tells me it's because it's made of kettle corn. Perhaps it would have been better to go to to the other shops where there are more eyes on the staff and their workers. Found L1 by accident, we were at Mangolia's having some halo halo when my wife decided to go exploring. Couple doors down was L1. The owner was really friendly and helpful. They were about to close but he didn't rush us as we asked a few questions about their popcorn. We wanted a lei for my nephew's senior night, for Kapolei High School basketball. He said we can order custom colors but needed to order a day prior to the event. They made a teal and white popcorn lei with a very nice ribbon. It was exactly Kapolei's color and matches my nephew's uniform. We got their kettle popcorn on our way out. Great to see new shops open.
