That Saturday morning he and his guys showed up to my house and laid all the drywall in the ceiling of my converted garage. They were quick, efficient and able to drywall around tricky wood support beams in the ceiling. The next Wednesday they were out to mud and texture the ceilings. I can't say enough good things about Armando and his work. Our house was all torn up from a re-plumbing job. There were about 20 huge holes, some of which ran into multiple rooms (basically wherever there were pipes). Armando and team repaired and re-textured every one of them so well, you cannot even begin to find where they were. In addition, they handled about a dozen other little scratches, holes and blemishes as well as a large wall re-texturing job, all for an extremely reasonable price. Now here's the kicker: when the painters began their work after Armando was done, we discovered that the texture didn't match in one area, which really showed when the paint was applied. Armando showed up first thing the next morning with two helpers, and they scraped the texture off, re-plastered and re-textured not just that area of ceiling, but our ENTIRE downstairs ceiling (which is all a continuous area) AT NO CHARGE!!! He told me he stands by his work, and this was included. I'm absolutely thrilled, and I wish I had other reasons to hire him. I don't, so all I can do is recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for the best drywaller in San Diego County. Five stars aren't nearly enough. If I could I'd give fifty. read more

Armando did a great job for me on a laundry closet drywall repair. Not only that, he helped me by fitting my small job into his tight schedule, so that the drywall could be repaired before the new washer and dryer arrived. The repair was flawless, no seams are visible on the wall. And after I painted, it is really impossible to tell where on the wall the patch was done, it all blends so beautifully. I spoke with "Armando" about 1 week prior to set up an appointment. He was able to patch up my ceiling drywall repair just before Thanksgiving. Whew, just in time with family coming over! Armando and his apprentice arrived on time and we're professional. I showed him the damage and Armando was on it! The area repaired was 12"x19" and 6"x6". The area was taped off and plastic put down. Armando began the demolition and got area prepped for drywall installation. Attention to detail was great. Light fixture and smoke detector taped off. Apprentice applied mud, Armando applied texture to match existing. Overall.......... I am extremely pleased with professional job. We had to tear apart some drywall to fix a leaking pipe and hired L5 to put it all back together. It was a fairly small job but a little complicated- several patches, one spot working around a pipe and behind a toilet, and matching nice new texture. I got 3 quotes for the job, all from companies with 5-star yelp reviews. L5 came in the lowest by a significant amount, and Armando was the only one to visit the house to give the quote which gave me confidence that he knew exactly what the job required (the other companies quoted by photo). The day of the job Armando showed up right on time and was courteous and professional (and nice to my kids to boot!) He was very generous with the plastic "cloth", put it down all over the place to keep everything clean. He and his coworker finished within the time promised and did great work, no way to tell where the old wall stops and the repaired wall starts. I needed some bull nosing done on a drywall edge in my kitchen from a recently competed remodel. In addition, the previous drywall company I had hired did a terrible job with the texture on some ceiling patch work and I wanted that re-textured again as well. Armando arrived on time, understood exactly what I wanted done, and was able to provide me with a very reasonable estimate for the work. I wasn't able to be home for this, so I left them a key and hoped for the best. Not only did they do a great job for a fair price, but they cleaned up after themselves better than any other contractor I had hired for anything in my entire life. My entire kitchen is cherry cabinets and stainless appliances, so any over-spray of the texture would have been very obvious. The patch work they did in the living room was also great. They had to move my furniture around to access all the areas and cover the freshly painted walls, recessed lights, A/V rack, etc. There's no over spray anywhere and they left the place as clean as they found it. From someone who is borderline OCD about cleanliness, I cant recommend these guys enough. I will absolutely use them in the future for any other drywall work I need. read more

Three weeks ago I found I had a hot slab leak. My hot water pipe was re-routed via my ceiling (LR to Kitchen). I checked YELP and found great reviews for L5 Plus Drywall. I contacted Armando via email and he came out to my place on MLK holiday. He gave me a quote and it was within my budget. Armando and his crew came out yesterday and completed the job within 8 hours (as stated on my quote). They arrived promptly, covered up everything with plastic. They covered the walkway to my house with plastic as well. I stayed upstairs all day while they worked. I was quite surprised to see the finished product. I am extremely happy with the end result. Armando and his crew cleaned up everything, including the space where they were parked. The job does come with a warranty. Armando said if I notice any cracks, etc, to give him a call right away and they will fix it. My hot water slab ordeal is over. No more holes in the walls and ceilings.
