I wish I had seen before that this rental service has averaged only two stars. I'll give it one (although it deserves none!). Their communication is terrible, you will be wandering parking lots to find your vehicle without any assistance from them. Obvious maintenance issues with the rental (the dashboard would light up like a christmas tree with all types of warnings). Cruise control/lane assist was not working. No windshield fluid. The car was dirty. They just keep renting these vehicles until they can't anymore. It was our turn for that to happen when the vehicle died (complete electric collapse) at an intersection, of course on our way to the airport to catch our return flight. It turned out that the battery was loose in its compartment and ended up getting disconnected. A good samaritan helped us reattach and jump start the vehicle while we waited for the tow (that I had to pay out of pocket btw). LA Auto spot will not take accountability for anything. Their customer support is terrible. After a million messages with different people at LA Auto spot they randomly concluded that I deserved a $32 refund (no explanation how they came up with that number). But they got that money (and then some more) back when they, without explanation also, charged me with $71.81 in "airport permit fees". Don't touch this business with a 10 foot pole. It is not what Turo was about, this is a wannabe car rental company. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Not every Turo location operates this way, but the customer service and on-site staff here were extremely disappointing. The vehicle I rented smelled like weed, and I was not offered a refund or any form of courtesy compensation. Communication was disorganized and frustrating--multiple hosts were involved in the customer service chat, and none of them seemed aligned or informed. I was told someone would follow up with an update regarding the issue, but no one ever did. If you are looking for a quick and affordable rental place, you've got the right one baby!! Not long ago, I rented a Jeep from here to avoid putting wear and tear on my baby that I own. The process from start to finish was wonderful and I was SO happy with this car! I actually ended up wanting to keep the car longer so I hit them up on the Turo car app. Requesting additional time was easy and they were very quick and helpful with communication. You can choose from a basic compact car type of rental or something more adventurous/luxury. The car was washed and clean/ready to go upon arrival! Drive was smooth and the Wrangler was fun to drive all over the hill country for trail running/racing and back. Do yourself a favor and look no further. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY. Don't be fooled by positive reviews you may see. Do your research. On Google and their other vehicles reviews, there are hundreds of customers that had similar experiences to us. After renting on Turo for years, this will be the last time because of LA Auto Spots and the lack of support from Turo. We paid extra to be picked up and dropped of from LAX, only to be told when we arrived that they don't actually do so. This was a particular issue for us because we had an infant and no car seat (we were renting one from the rental company). The company tried to cop out of their commitment by referring to "small print" that was non existent. Because there were no other options for us, I had to take an Uber 30 minutes to the rental company and then drive back 30 minutes to the airport to pick up my wife with our two little kids who has just been through an 8+ hour trip. The whole debacle delayed us by about 3.5 hours. When I tried to relay my issues and concerns to the admin staff, they were extremely unhelpful and basically told us "tough luck" and refused to let me speak to a manager. After pressing the issue, I got the GM on the phone. Talk about the world's biggest loser. Customer service is clearly not in this guy's lexicon as all I received were petulant, indignant, condescending and threatening responses. Pretty ironic for a guy that doesn't have two brain cells to rub together as he clearly did not understand basic business or legal principles. After doing some research on the company, I found they've been in and out of court for what I would consider shady business practices. So I made a new report to LA's Dept of Commerce, for which I will be following up. As for the car, it was received dirty and in much worse shape than the pictures. Also ALL of the car seats were totally damaged or falling apart. We had to buy a new one. It is my strong advice to stay away from these moronic crooks and pick another rental entity. My boyfriend and I decided to rent from LA auto spot for our trip to texas this week. I come to find out, the Hyundai Sonata was not cleaned at all. There was a cigarette in the door, the car reeked of weed, there was left behind diabetes medicine, and there was a pawn shop receipt that did not belong to us in this car. It gets better, we were pulled over and the police man found weed in the car. Neither my boyfriend nor I smoke weed. Now, I have to go to court because I'm being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Do not rent from here!! read more

They had me waiting past midnight. They knew well in advance of my arrival and I also texted them before I boarded the plane and after I landed. I rented from them through Turo and had a HORRIBLE experience with them at the Dallas,Tx location. I was also informed by the men at the lot who clean the cars, that these people are not even in the States and are actually located in the Philippines, so if they promise you that a change will be done at a lot don't believe them as they are not even here and have no idea what is going on with the vehicles! I was also informed by the lot men that the company isn't real and they don't actually work for them, they're just a separate company that only cleans and preps the cars. They have no other authority or even say so on the vehicles. I have rented vehicles that smell like straight marijuana and they promise swaps knowing that they can't! I will never rent from them again and everybody that I have recommended to them will no longer rent as well. Also the number listed on Turo isn't even a direct line to anyone so if you ever need support you won't have any luck! They left a false review on my account because they were not satisfied with my HONEST review. And I wouldn't even bother reaching out to them through the app as they have OVER 20 different cohosts and you never know who you're actually talking to. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They gave me a rental that had the check engine light on and the engine was making bad sputtering sounds (NOT SAFE) so I messaged the owner in the morning and asked if I needed to take the car back in, what time, and that I needed to arrange a swap because I stil needed a car that evening. They said I could come drop it off and that there would be a car for me. I get there and NO ONE knows anything about it. The only 2 workers (bless their hearts, working so hard running back and forth under the poor management of this owner) are struggling to find me a vehicle to put me in, while ALSO dealing with another very upset customer in the same situation as me! I messaged them at 11 am, I got there at 4pm, and they had me sitting around waiting until 630 PM!! I was waiting in their dingy waiting area, where they had the doors open and mosquitos literally eating me alive! I get in my car finally, and there's mosquitos biting me all the way home! on top of this, the owner barely apologized and didn't do anything to try to make this right! When I arrived, I was expecting them to give me a refresher on how to use a Tesla or something, but it seemed like they didnt even know they just gave me the key and after one hour of having the Tesla the key was not even working to unlock the car, I called and they had me on hold for so long under the Texas hot ass heat. The car smell like weed every time the AC would turn on after getting in. It gave me a headache and made me nauseous. The weekend I used it. It was raining and they gave me the car with damn near bald tires. After returning the car, I made the mistake of not taking a picture of the miles and battery level of the car. They told me that 80% was considered fully charged to return the car. I charged the Tesla up to 86% so that when I drove 12 miles from the Tesla supercharger to the spot, it would be above 80% and then they charged me for returning the car at 75% makes no sense to me how it went down 10% on a 12 miles trip to them. Unprofessional for sure. Car not ready on time. Half cleaned, with audacity to txt me about a late fee if the car wasn't returned on time. Mind you, I already received a notice saying they were putting my late time on the back end for me to turn it in later due to the inconvenience, however, I still returned it on time so I could be through with it. Also, No, you're not responsible for us leaving anything, but with proper professionalism and courtesy as a rental company, we should feel some type of security and comfort that we can go to lost and found (especially if it's literally the next morning after turning it in at 10pm the previous night) and it'll be there. Not some run around and bs about how you didn't find it, don't have it or something of the sort. Otp customer service lmk that you guys deleted the part of the chat where I asked was my belonging in the car (that let me know a lot off top), trust diminished.
