For the last few months the search with the limited inventory has been difficult, but yesterday we closed the deal on my 2022 Tacoma Limited. I was leased a vehicle with Fairlease with the intent to purchase. I was told had no prior accident history and the carfax was provided to me confirming this information however when I was involved in a fender bender and attempted to pursue a diminished value claim, it was determined by the 3rd party insurance provider that the car had already been involved in 2 prior accidents before I leased the car. I notified the dealership to try to get the issue resolved and they had no adequate solution to assist in rectifying the matter. I was basically left to just figure it out after I was deceived with the information that was provided to me. I am very disappointed in Fairlease and the credit union because I have been a customer for over 25 years and this is how they choose to treat a loyal customer. Buying the car was so easy and pain free. Servicing the lease will then be painful for many years to come. First, the antiquated technology - paying my bill each month was a nightmare before I signed up for monthly autodraft (which you have to call to set up...). It's difficult to reach people when you need anything. Every time I changed insurance companies I went through months of back and forth before they finally added it correctly to the account and stopped sending bills each month for their added insurance. The third time this happened, they added the insurance to one of the cars, but not the other!?! Just hassle after hassle. The hassle you save at the dealership on day one is not worth working with this disorganized credit union. As I got to the end of my lease, I called to buy off the cars and literally couldn't get anyone on the phone to take my money, "Well they're just so busy in that department. I can send them an email asking them to call you back? Will that work for you?" No. It's 2023. Why can't I see info about my lease online? Why is there no one available when customers need service? UPDATE: the new president, Jeff, reached out directly to look into my issues over the years. I truly believe that he wants to improve their experience and he mentioned they have plans to upgrade technology in the near future. I leased my 2013 SUV from Fair Lease. It was the 1st Vehicle I leased from them. I went from a 2011 Acadia Denali to the 2013 version, with more upgrades, and my payment actually went down. I've been leasing vehicles for 15 years now and this was probably the best deal. They finance the lease so there is no middleman markup and there is no dealer markup. That's why my payment for a newer SUV was actually cheaper than my older SUV that I leased from another firm that farmed out their financing and marked up the vehicles. Highly recommended. So I had a transmission go out in the vehicle on June 20 2019. The warranty Dept said because the car had over 100k miles they would not fix it. We got in touch an had a conversation with the Fair representatives. I was told to return the car an I would be able to get another car 7 to 10 business days later. They picked up the car on June 25 2019, it is now July 24, 2019. They have already auctioned off the car received the money from that, they have taken a payment from me for the last 4 weeks I did not have the car. I was told after speaking to countless people an on there recommendation from multiple managers supervisors etc to close my bank account. This has by it self cause a major upset to my life as I have auto pays for other services tied to that account. Now that was 2 weeks ago, an they now have tried to take money still from that account. I'm being charged a fee from my bank every time they try to take money. Also I have not been able to get another car because there system shows I still have the vehicle. This has persisted for 4 weeks an I'm no further now than I was week one. 1. They are still attempting to take money from my bank account. (That I was told to close by them) 2. I'm un able to get another vehicle because they can not get it in there system out of my account. (The acknowledge they pickup an took the vehicle from me) 3. I have spoken to over 20 people an spent hours on phone an in there chat feature trying to get this resolved. (Every Time having a supervisor, or manager say they will call me back an have escalated the issue. Have yet to hear back from anyone in any manner.) I feel now they are just pushing me off an hoping the problem will resolve itself. Also that someone else will take care of it. "Be aware that this is not a isolated incident" they have told me that I'm not the only one going thru this situation. read more

This is a horrible company. They locked me out of my account for 5 weeks making me unable to see my charges, ballooned my rates and then repossessed the car. Then demanded I express mail over $1,300 dollars for next day receipt - which I did and then they refused to let me pick up the car the day they told me it would be released the same day for me to pick up. Then within hours they moved the car more than 100 miles away so that I could not retrieve the car, knowing they never intended for me to be able to pick up the car. And I'm not the only one they've done this to in the past few months. Do your internet research and find out if what I'm saying is true. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am being bounced for over 2 hours now and no one seems to know why i was charged 414.22 for mileage overages and no one knows who to send it to. Billing has excess mileage, a number, but not the amount of miles. The actual amount of miles over charged at the contracted rate would be way lower but no one cares or knows....FAIR has been utterly ridiculous from day one with dealing with issues and I would never lease another vehicle with them simply due to this customer service nightmare and underhanded billing practices. read more
