I visited this restaurant since someone in my group wanted crab noodle soup. The funny thing is he…read moredidn't even end up ordering that dish though as he got temped by another entree. Their menu consists of apps (mostly fried), soups and salads, lobster dishes, steaks, vietnamese seafood dishes, shellfish entrees (clams, scallops, etc), an oyster section, stir fry dishes, rice creations, and fried seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The sirloin that came on the steak dish was supposedly a little tough but that is typical of a basic sirloin steak. I didn't actually get to sample it since other people grabbed it before I could. They only had L and XL size lobster the day we came...so they said their prices were around $90 and $108...I think we selected the $90 size. The drunken lobster dish can be shared between 2 people as it's a big platter but just 1 cut up lobster. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.

The steak was a little tough.....sliced really thin with 3 shrimp on top. I put a picture on here for reference. It didn't look super tasty but it wasn't too bad. I asked for them to make it spicy, it was spicy and I feel like I'm still on the search for a better garlic noodles. The drunken wings were really good. The truffle fries were good. They also had happy hour when I went happy hour is every day from 5 to 7...even on the weekend. I went on a Saturday Also during happy hour oysters are a dollar I did not get any. The duck look really good. The duck is prepared to order. It takes about 45 minutes. A few orders of that went out. Will probably go back. Customer service was cool. Dennis is the best. Thanks for taking care of me.

Michael, the owner, greeted us and took care of us! We started with the Jumbo Crab Fingers which were really good - I'm honestly not huge on seafood, so I enjoyed these a lot more than I thought I would. Ironically, I'm not big on oysters either, so I ordered the Jumbo Golden Fried Shrimp which hit the spot real good. Large shrimp, well fried, flavored, and the tartar sauce was addicting. The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, carrying a bit more of a cajun flavor rather than just regularly salted. My parents definitely enjoy oysters, so they ordered the Charbroiled Oysters and really enjoyed it, as well as the Uni Oyster with Quail Egg. They also got the Cowboy Lobster Shrimp Roll that was gone before I even took a second look their way. We finished the meal with a yummy, dense basque cheesecake! Every customer that came in during our time there was personally greeted by Michael, and it seemed like they were all repeat customers. It was really cool to see that kind of connection, and it really showed how much Michael cares about his customers, and how much we like his food! Indoor seating is a bit limited - all bar stool seating. I rarely comment on the music that a restaurant plays, but I quite liked it! Made me feel like I was on the bay enjoying some fresh seafood at sunset. Heard they'll be opening up their newest location at POST soon!

Everything was detailed and you can feel how passionate they are about the food. We started off with the Gumbo and Lobster Bisque. The gumbo has a nice roux and full of flavor with shrimp, rice, and other tasty bits. The lobster bisque was one of my favorites of the evening with a rich and creamy texture. 5/5 Following the soup, we had some of the freshest Prince Edward Island oysters in Houston. We didn't try the Gulf oysters in this visit but our neighbor said they were delicious and looked huge. Next we had a ribeye steak with pasta and broccoli as the side. The steak was cooked perfectly and didn't need any sauce but the in house sauce that came with the steak had so much umami flavor, made by Michael as well. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on our next visit! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and experience from end to end.

When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

I believe the crawfish is seasonal, so go during crawfish season because this pho was delicious. The crawfish were so tender and the pho was so flavorful. The beef dish was also so good to eat and balanced. The fried beef balanced so well with the fresh salad and rice. I will say that when we went the parking lot was a little deserted at night. I would definitely lock your doors and take all your valuables. But that's all or Houston, so just stay safe!

Super mainstream like pho and banh mi. I ordered the grilled skewers, fish stomach, grilled pork, and Whelk in coconut sauce. The skewers had good flavor. Some of the meat was really tough. But I do want to highlight that the dipping sauce that they serve it with is insanely good. . My favorite was the fish stomach. Perfect flavor so much garlic and the texture was great. The grilled pork was a little burnt. Not my favorite. The whelks in coconut sauce had really good flavor, but they were very difficult to eat. The holes in the Welks were not big enough, so it was very difficult trying to get the meat out. The restaurant also didn't provide utensil to help with that. I feel like that would've been helpful. Service was good and interior is clean. Overall, I think the flavors are really good. Execution could be better, but I definitely want to come back and try other dishes.

Service was good, better than most places I've been in the Chinatown area. They seemed attentive and responsive and even refilled my water before I had to ask. They did have high chairs for small toddlers but no child's menu, FYI, for those visiting with kids. Here's what we ordered: Snow pea leaves (8/10) - good vegetable dish to balance out the seafood. Soft and sautéed well to make it a solid side dish. Clams in Black Bean Sauce (7/10) - another good dish we had as a starter/side. Flavorful and the clams were just the right texture. Black pepper lobster (10/10) - the star of the show. Loved this dish. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. So flavorful and delicious. Would highly recommend this dish. Fried fish (8/10) and fried tofu (7/10) - solid dish. Came out fresh and hot and fish was fried perfectly with a nice crisp bite. Tofu was also cooked well but I think I enjoyed the fried fish just a bit better. Peking Duck - (9/10) - another signature dish, in my opinion. Duck was cooked great with a nice crispy skin and perfectly steamed baos. Another dish I would highly recommend. Overall, good visit with great food and good service!

We ordered six dishes for four people, but unfortunately nothing really stood out. The salt and pepper shrimp was my favorite dish of the night, though even that fell a bit short because it wasn't very crispy or particularly flavorful, and I wished it had more spice. The noodles, which were supposed to be soft, were actually quite hard and chewy. The fried rice lacked fragrance and depth of flavor. The oriental beef was overly tough, and the Kung Pao chicken didn't resemble the dish at other places as it came with corn and assorted vegetables but had very little flavor overall. While service and seating were fine, the food itself was underwhelming across the board. Given the experience, I wouldn't come back, but it might work for someone looking for a quick, no-wait option rather than standout Chinese food.
