Had breakfast here twice. The first morning, we had the traditional breakfast and second morning, I decided to live a little and get a burger. The burger is superb! Maybe being hungover may have played a role in why the savory and salty and oily was doing it for me. Our meals came out quickly and we were in and out. Everyone was welcoming and wished us a great day when we left. There are a few different dining areas and one is very Italian while the other rooms are very modern with comfy sofas and seatings.

Came here for work dinner. Was very impressed with everything. Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Good was so good. Everything came out quickly and was fresh and hot. Highly recommend!

This is my second restaurant week experience, I came here for work lunch and tried their $30 lunch menu and I was not disappointed by the food. I ordered calamari, meatball sub and pistachio cheesecake - they were all cooked to perfection. I particularly loved their fries. The only complaint was the prep time was too long so I ended up taking everything to go...I probably wouldn't come here if I only have 1sh hour... The decor was chic and elegant. Would be a nice work/casual dining option if the service was quicker.

This restaurant is in the Kimpton gray hotel. It's operated independently, but you can charge your bill to the room. For those with breakfast credit, this is the restaurant you would use it at. Breakfast and brunch (weekends) options available. I would say it is standard breakfast food that is solid. I also had lunch one day with the fried chicken salami which was delicious as well. Great option for ala carte dining to use your hotel food and beverage credits.

We left the food cuz it was so bad

Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars. The food and service were both really disappointing. We ended up coming here for breakfast each morning since we were staying at the Kimpton and also had a $100 credit to use and this was basically the only option because the other hotel restaurants were closed. On Sunday morning, 4/26/26, there was a line out the door with no host in sight. I asked others waiting and they said they had already been there for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging them or explaining what was going on. I finally flagged down a waitress who seemed annoyed. When I asked if there was a host or waitlist, she said no and that even if we were seated it would still take another 20 minutes just to place an order. I asked to do a pickup order instead and she took it but again with attitude. When I asked if they had fresh pressed juice, she responded in an annoyed and dismissive tone and said they only had "regular" juice, which was not helpful at all. She said she would come back with the check but disappeared for about 10 minutes, so I ended up leaving and coming back later to close out. The food itself was just sooooo bad. The avocado toast was soggy to the point the bread was falling apart, and the poached egg was rubbery, honestly one of the worst I have had. Every single item I had here was bad. We also came for dinner where the service was slightly better but still not friendly. We ordered a chicken dish, pasta, and a salad, and everything was heavy, greasy, and lacked flavor. We left a lot of food untouched because it just was not enjoyable. Overall I would not come back.

It was your standard hotel breakfast experience. Nothing blew me away but was still good. I had a tasty chicken sandwich that I quite enjoyed. The breakfast potatoes were my only gripe. They were much too thick for breakfast potatoes and not as seasoned as I would have liked. Our server was fine, only gave us a little bit of attitude. The restaurant itself was nice, but quite warm, and could've done with some air conditioning. Wouldn't return here to be honest.

Steak and eggs. Steak was 10/10. Great service.

Great service. Steak was very tender and so yummy. Eggs were light and fluffy and the service was amazing. We sat outside and it was very clean and not too packed.

I recently visited La Bella Trattoria and had a pleasant overall experience. The service was good -- attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. The atmosphere was also nice, clean, and comfortable, making it a good spot for a relaxed dinner. As for the food, it was decent but nothing spectacular. I had the penne araviata, which was okay -- enjoyable but not particularly memorable. We also ordered the chicken Vesuvio, which was definitely better and had good flavor. The highlight of the night, though, was the tiramisu. It was easily the best part of the meal -- rich, well-balanced, and the perfect way to end dinner. Overall, La Bella Trattoria is a solid place with good service and ambiance, but the dessert really stood out the most.

Came at around 5 pm on a weekday and was seated pretty quickly. Service in general was pretty quick but the dishes were a bit plain in taste. This is a chill spot to visit if you have an itch for Italian but i wouldn't plan an anniversary or date here for that reason. Attitudes from servers were also pretty mixed.

Cute spot inside Kimpton Grey hotel downtown. Modern clean interior, kind staff, great for a weekday business lunch! Food was good and nice portions.

It was fine, pretty standard but out of orange Juice, out of soup, and they don't do wood fired pizzas on the brunch menu.

IMO one of the best happy hours in the loop. So far that's all I've had time to come for, but the menu is such a great value and its hits that happy hour spot. Great location and plenty of seats at the bar or at the tables in the bar area. They have a rotating cocktail of the day, which has been anything from an old-fashioned to a fun martini. The flatbread and sliders are great value. Also, I think the toasted ravioli are some of the best I've ever had - they don't inflict enormous amount of over toasted ravioli, razor blade crunch in your mouth. Packed full of delicious cheese and their dipping sauces are fantastic. You could literally clear a plate of those on your own in no time. They also have a great, I believe they're Italian blend, house white and red to choose from. I've come for happy hour four times now and have it ever left disappointed the service here is excellent and with it being only about 2 1/2 blocks from my downtown office I will continue to be a frequent flyer here.

All the premier dinners come with salad, cheese, fondue, and the chocolate fondue - You are just choosing what protein you would like. The Prince Geja combination has a little bit of everything. However, we most liked the seafood which includes lobster and the scallops were to die for! Also the beef also cooks well. Favorite dipping sauce included the pimento mayo, chimichurri, and garlic butter. The cheese fondue is quite rich and the bread is quite filling so maybe get as much cheese as you can on each piece of bread. The chocolate fondue, I think is actually the best course as the Belgium chocolate melts so well and has a decadent but not overly sweet flavor. It pairs well with all that is provided for dipping, which includes poundcake, rice Krispies, strawberries. They also have some liquor that they light on fire at first so you can roast the marshmallows. It is such a well thought out experience. Service flows very well from two waiters who take your order set up your fondue pots for each course, but be prepared to spend at least 2 hours on this experience. Check out the Groupon but also I read a review that they just tack on the extra $50 so it's not really too much of a savings. Not sure if this is true.

Also appreciated that they were accommodating for the vegetarian in our party. Everything except the cheese course can be made vegan friendly as well. The service was top notch! And that's because the menus were being printed with a personalized birthday message! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. The truffle-parmesan fries: We couldn't tell if they were too salty or just salty enough, but somehow we couldn't stop eating them! I ordered the baby wedge salad with chicken, and while the chicken looked small at first, it ended up being a large enough portion to last the salad. I came here with three others and we all ordered different things from the brunch menu along with a few drinks. The atmosphere here is open, modern, and pretty eye catching, we all heard a few negative comments about brunch here and rather than just taking words of advice we came anyways. To be honest we should've went elsewhere, the only thing about the food that actually seemed to have any flavor was the fries and even they were a little salty like my wallet when we left LOL The Jumbo (not so much) Lump Crab Benedict at $25 was honestly boring lacking any flavor also it didn't even come with potatoes I ended up sharing my Lincoln Park Turkey Club that was good but even it was pretty basic at $21, the Burger at $21 literally looked like something off the kids menu the bun was bigger than the patty LOL and the Blackened Chicken Caesar at $19 was more like an appetizer size and the chicken at least it was juicy not dry. Other reviews about brunch here seem to be about the same and honestly I think it's funny they don't even try to elevate their food when so many say about the same things. I think the only reason why people come to this place is 1. It's located in Lincoln Park and 2. that makes it a trendy spot to eat. So why bother fixing anything when it's just trendy and flavorless Their brunch is mediocre but apparently dinner is where it's at. However after the experience with brunch I'm not even sure I would even go back. Come here for the staff eat at your own expense maybe your food will have flavor or not but honestly do what you want and keep it trendy

I really wanted to like it; this was a nine-year anniversary dinner. Service was really attentive and friendly and I did appreciate that they brought out specific utensils for me as a left-handed person, never saw that before! The restaurant felt a bit bare and sterile, I think I was maybe expecting a little more decor on the table for a Michelin star restaurant. To echo several of the reviews below, the salad was awkward to share and scanty, the soup was good but the bread served with it felt like an afterthought, the sturgeon wasn't anything special though the sauce was quite good, and we are pretty sure the cut of beef was not wagyu or if it was it was not cooked the right way. The beef was the most disappointing part, I couldn't even chew through all of it. The add-ons were the best part - pasta was great and our dessert was delicious. But the rest of the meal was unfortunately mediocre. Hoping that others have a different experience with the regular menu!

I don't think anything blew me away like I was expecting which was disappointing. We had the caviar supplement, which they accidentally gave us two of (amazing), which was good but also didn't blow me away. I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavors of the soup but that's probably a personal problem. The sturgeon and wagyu were alright.
