Hey, this used to be 101 Bar and Grill! Remember that? This is the second location. The original is Downtown which we haven't been too. I had three flavors of pizza; Basilico Spritz and Dolce Lavori for the cocktails. The staff and service are wonderful.

Food was absolutely delicious. We sat outdoors as it was a weekday and their rooftop wasn't open. The Brussels sprouts needed a bit more flavor, but otherwise loved the food. It was empty and our server was very attentive and nice. Enjoyed it and will definitely come back!

My friend and I dined here on a Saturday morning for a nice brunch. Upon arriving no one was at the stand to greet us. We stood for at least 5 minutes before just walking in to find a person. When we spotted a woman she asked for some time before tending to us. We were able to sit anywhere and were given menus and water quickly. About 9 minutes passed before she took our drink and food order. I ordered one blood orange mimosa and the ultimate Mediterranean breakfast. My friend did the bottomless and the blueberry pancakes. I swear it took about 5 minutes to get our drinks and another 30-35 to get our food. No joke. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or what. The wait times were outrageous. They had two servers, two bartenders, one bus boy and one chef. Yes, I could see of all this because it wasn't that busy. The food was decent but nothing special/ out of this world. I paid $21 for a meal that really could've been bought from Whole Foods. I'm not likely to return. Too much money for too little food and customer service.

Was staying at the Residence Inn and after a long day of travel and a lengthy to-do list waiting for me, I didn't want to venture out for dinner. It was my good fortune that The 101 is right downstairs. I stopped in and ordered takeout. The service was so friendly and accommodating. My burger and fries were ready pretty quickly and when I tell you that they were DEEEEE-LI-CIOUS, please know that I'm not exaggerating! The restaurant itself was a nice atmosphere (even though they already have a Christmas tree up - LOL), the service was delightful, and the food amazing! What more could one ask for?

A friend recommended this place for happy hour, and I really liked it! It has both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside since the weather was nice. I tried Le Violet and then had a few Midnight Margaritas,, which were amazing.. Perfectly balanced, sweet and spicy and not too icy. We also ordered some small bites that were good. The service is quick.. Definitely try this spot if you're in the area!

101 Bar is located off the first floor of the Residence Inn, where I was staying for 3 nights--and which, by the way, is far from how I remembered this hotel chain where people used to host parties and get kicked out in the 80s! But that's a different review. Arriving to the hotel just before 8:30 pm, I noted how lively things seemed to be inside the restaurant. Far be it from me to miss the food party, I checked in, took my bags to my room, and headed back down to dine. Stepped inside and was welcomed by the warmth of dark wood, dim lighting, high ceilings, diverse seating options, ambient music, and cheerul chatter at the tables of family and friends gathered in dyads or trios or no more than four. Dining solo, I was greeted by Alexander who showed me to a table along the glass wall separating the dining room from the enclosed patio. It was a windy night so the patio was closed, but like the dining room, it is well-appointed and inviting and features diverse seating options even for the outdoors. I thought it would be a red meat night for me, but Alexander pointed out other options including the chicken pot pie and the "famous" rotisserie chicken. I asked what made it famous; the seasonings, he told me, and the slow roasting technique. I decided to order the chicken since it's their claim to fame and I didn't know if and when I might get another chance to try it. So the only hiccups in my 101 experience were that my food took quite a long time, and somehow my order was put in for the pot pie instead of the rotisserie. However, all of this is completely forgiven because the staff quickly remedied the problem, with apology and politeness and professionalism. Noticing that I'd been sitting for a while with no food, a manager approached me to ask if I was okay and how can he help. He then comped me the pot pie and a glass of prosecco while I waited for the rotisserie, which easily could have served 2-3 people IMO. With plenty of leftovers and a full kitchenette in my room, I was all set for a delicious dinner on my last night at the hotel. I returned to 101 for a side of brussels sprouts to accompany the leftover chicken, which I reheated in a pot on the stove.

We got here around 5:45-6 to have a couple of drinks before catching a game and were sat immediately. Our waitress did not come to our table until 15 min later. She took our drink orders and then was gone again for a significant amount of time. We were there for around a hour and service was terrible. 2 stars for the drinks and atmosphere.

I stopped here for Happy Hour. Please be advised HH is only offered downstairs not on the rooftop. But you can take your drinks upstairs. I ordered the chicken sliders, salad, and fries. All were tasty, I would go back. I was initially told that it was a private event and I wouldn't be able to go to the rooftop. But eventually I made my way up there and the vibe was great. The weather was nice, the staff was friendly. I can't wait to go back.

Despite a small mishap at the start of the evening, our server Manny and food/beverage director Eric, ensured we had a flawless evening. It was the perfect October evening to sit on the patio and enjoy a few cocktails and apps. Everything we tried was delicious! Our fave cocktail was Girls Trip! A delicious, spicy, mango margarita. We also enjoyed the lamb hummus and blanco flatbread - made with mushrooms, arugula, truffle oil and fontina cheese. So good, I could eat it all by myself! The branzino was also a great choice. Overall, We had a lovely time on the patio and look forward to going back. Manny was phenomenal. He made great recommendations and ensured we were taken care of. Shout out to Eric for running a great operation. 101 has so much to offer! From their seasonal rooftop, to live jazz music to their patio. Check out their website for upcoming events --- like the Mag Mile Lights Festival Parade. Make your rezzie to watch the parade from the comfort of the 101 Room, 20 floors up!

Last Saturday, we stopped by 101 Bar hoping to try their Athenian brick chicken. We sat at the bar, received menus, and placed our order for food and drink. Shortly after, we were informed that the Athenian brick chicken was no longer available--we had been given and outdated menu. When we asked to see the updated version, we were told they were still looking into the issue. While waiting, we decided to share the grilled shrimp chermoula. Unfortunately, we finished our appetizer and paid before they resolved the menu confusion. It's worth noting that the outdated menu is still on their website, so that should be updated as well. That said, the service was good, and both the shrimp and keto sprintz were enjoyable.

We swung by 101 bar for their happy hour and were very impressed with the menu. They have $7 wines, $10 house margs and $5 beers. We tried them all. The happy hour food menu was impressive too. We tried the chicken sliders, burrata brûlée, bruschetta toast, ordered some Prosecco bottles for the table and even got a complimentary bottle since it was a friend's bday. The food was decent, especially for the price. A special shoutout to the our server. He was friendly, shared some banter with us and was very fast. We were a big loud party and he handled us well. The ambience is nice and cozy. I will definitely be back.

101 Club at 101 E. Erie, boasting three event spaces: the 101 Club Patio, the 20th floor restaurant the 101 Club, and the rooftop deck Sky Terrace. It has such amazing views, cocktails, apps and more! Check them out!!

    Rooftop views

What a cool bar above the Residence Inn Chicago Downtown. They have one seating area in the lobby but we opted to go to the rooftop for the views since it was a beautiful day. The views from the rooftop are beautiful as they are panoramic. They have a main bar area, high top tables as well as fire pit sitting. They also ensure to have some heat lamps since it can be a little bit chilly up there. The side of the building the rooftop bar is on gets a lot of shade in the later hours of the day. I opted for the Caesar salad with shrimp add on and it was the perfect crunch bite I was looking for. The service was a little bit on the slower side, which typically isn't the worst as long as you have beverages and good conversation going. I was not a fan of the first beverage I had, but second round I got the Tiki Tea Time and it was great flavor and refreshing. I would recommend the Tiki Tea Time to anyone who wants a good summer beverage. When the sun is setting, this rooftop is absolutely incredible to see.

I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay.
