Great place to have a quick delish poutine! Love the fries, the cheese and the gravy! Service is fast and efficient.

This place, Lafleur on Cote-de-Liesse near YUL, was like a mirage. Where is there on this major…read morethoroughfare through an industrial area to put something down the hatch to tide me over at a later hour? The app was pointing to this nearby place and little did I know it's sort of like a Quebecois A&W that keeps late hours. It appears that this is a newer store to replace an older one. There is an outdoor terrace, a spacious ordering area, and a very nice dining room for this genre, complete with a crazy inscription (to an American) on the wall saying "Salut, mes p'tites frites." What? "Greetings, my little fries?" There was a fair bit of selection on Lafleur's menu. However, I wasn't looking for a hamburger. I settled on a chicken sandwich combination, but upgraded the fries to onion rings, perhaps as an excuse to say "rondelles d'oignon." Realistically, it's because I eat them so infrequently and wasn't expecting to converse with anyone. Everything tasted fairly good. I received good counter service at Lafleur. The personnel could tell I was not from the area nor familiar with their offerings. What is it with fast food and coffeehouse service in suburban areas of Quebec? It's reliably polite and up to the task! There can be marginal service at enough fast food places in the States, especially if a grittier locale. The prices were fine after being converted to U.S. currency, but the hefty sales taxes push it up. The Canadian government doesn't discriminate and even corrals us foreigners into paying for their national health care system through sales taxes. If transiting on fast and wide Cote-de-Liesse or wanting to get a bite outside the airport property, Lafleur ought to work. It won't be a haven for vegetarians and vegans, though. I think that, for fast food, eating one's food on the outdoor terrace and watching the traffic whizz by on a temperate day might actually be enjoyable.

Food was good overall. We went for a grilled cheese, vegetarian burger (both combos) and a veggie pogo. Liked all three. Fries were good. O-Juice was nice but felt a bit sugary than sour. Portions were good and it didn't feel heavy. All their meals are given in takeout brown bags - no trays, plates etc. They don't have any indoor seating options but there are standing counters. There are a couple of benches outside if the weather permits. Many folks just got the food to their cars and ate them there. Staff was nice. Given it was our first time, we had a few questions which they answered well. Plenty of parking outside. Definitely recommended.

It's been around since 1932 and looks like to be a popular destination for locals and tourists. Our group just wanted something quick to eat since we spent the day in Old Montréal and was heading back to the hotel. The parking is a circle surrounding the structure. The speed of the line went pretty quick from ordering to getting the meal considering they had a steady line while we were there. There is option to dine there with some bench and table seating to the left of the ordering station. We just grab and took our stuff back to the hotel since it was late and a little windy the day we went there. We shared a poutine and got small orange julep drinks to share. The poutine was good, but not my favorite in this city. What I liked about it was the gravy. Rich and a generous amount on the fries. I didn't wish that the fries could have been more crisp. I think they got soggier by the gravy. The cheese curds were a bit melty- also there was no squeak when I took a bite. True cheese curds make a squeak when you chew them. Just not sure we didn't get a squeaking batch. The orange julep I would definitely come back for again. It was super refreshing and a little frothy on the finish. So good I wished I got a bigger size. It was a big hit with my daughter too. They sell them in different sizes and even sell a big sharing jug. We didn't try other offerings of food they had (hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, spaghetti, wings, nuggets, desserts and breakfast), but may be on the next visit. It's worth checking out. Maybe next time we will try to dine in.

We sat at the bar as a group of four and stayed for about two hours. Service was great our bartender (long dark hair, blue eyes) was super friendly and attentive the whole time. Drinks were on point too, I had a Coors on tap. Overall, prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is chill but still lively. Would definitely come back!

We go to Macallan's for trivia night every Tuesday. (Call to reserve a table for this in advance!)…read more It's always a lot of fun and the top three teams get a prize (gift cards to... you guessed it). The facility itself is always clean, even if there is the odd case of the ceiling needing a couple repairs, (the bad storm we had did a number on it) you barely notice it. The staff is super pleasant and unless the kitchen is super slammed, the food doesn't take long. You hear the *ding* from the kitchen bell every so often and the smells that come from it always make me want to eat something. I usually get a poutine because it's my favorite "cheat" meal but my fellow trivia team members always get an assortment of food and there is rarely ever a complaint. They host other themed nights and special events/contests/musical guests on their stage for holidays etc. Overall, we love coming here for a break from the weekly routine to have a night of (somewhat) educational fun.
