I do recommend making a reservation as they can be pretty slammed on Fridays/weekends. The Srirachi wings had a nice crunch to them while still keeping the chicken juicy inside. It would've been nice to have an even amount of wings to drumsticks though, as I like flats more, but thats just a personal preference. The crabmeat fried rice was amazing, a really good portion of chunks of crabmeat mixed in so each spoonful had some. The duck curry was a "Grandma's special" so a much bigger portion and cost - but reasonable. The duck wasnt dry and had a good flavor throughout, not relying on the curry to give taste. The curry also had a hint of sweetness to it which complements the greasiness of the duck. The papaya salad felt very refreshing - we got it at level one as to not overpower our taste buds with all the other food. I did get some chili pepper on the side to add in later. My one recommendation is having Thai peppers as an option instead of dried chili flakes. I much prefer the taste of fresh Thai pepper to add the extra heat. The mango sticky rice is always a favorite. The mango is soft and ripe, the right amount of sweetness. They also mix pandan in with the sticky rice for a more impactful umami (Im also a big advocate for pandan in desserts).

Once we arrived, it was super busy and it took a bit of time to get our orders in. We ordered a variety of dishes to try out, starting with the crispy chive cakes. I love chive cakes, but these were much softer than I anticipated. I still loved the flavor and dipping sauce. We also ordered a medium spicy papaya salad, but it didn't taste like ours had any spice at all which was a little disappointing. Then we tried the Khao soi, which was a gigantic portion and very delicious, I truly had no complaints there. Lastly, we had the chicken satay skewers, delicious especially with the two sauces they included with it, and their duck, an absolutely amazing and giant dish that was covered with a tangy and sweet sauce. Overall, we enjoyed the food a lot; the only reason I'm rating this lower was the service. Our bill had two extra dishes on it that we didn't order, making our total super high. We asked to have these removed, but then they told us that we had already ordered these dishes and that they were on the way. We clarified a second time that we didn't order these two dishes and then finally got the right receipt. Our server was sweet and apologized, but for their high menu prices, I wasn't too thrilled with this experience.

We chose this because the menu had a nice mix of southern and American favorites that they weren't accustomed to. You should've seen two northern boys trying to describe grits to a Swede. Our waitress was awesome. She was great at explaining things and talking about each dish. Of course there were questions. Some things probably got lost in translation but everyone was happy with their choices. I also feel like servers are always put in an awkward position when you ask them to help you choose. Food is like art. It's so subjective. So for starters we got the fried greet tomatoes and the Burrata. Burrata was not ideal for sharing with people you do not know. It was one large piece of toast. So she actually took it back and someone cut it into 4 sections for us. The fried green tomatoes were awesome. It had a nice tangy sauce with sweeter pickles that came along side. My colleague got the open faced chicken sandwich which was an enormous amount of food. It was two fat chicken pieces on two thick slices of toast. I got the salmon sticky rice bowl with a side of the charred broccoli. Both were so delicious. The salmon had some broccoli in it too. So I really over did it. The charred broccoli side had crusted Parmesan in it and a creamy sauce. Both dishes were just knock outs. Almost forgot I got the love latte too. That was really good. I got it with oat milk. So I highly recommend this place. Great for a business lunch too. Easy to hear one another. Music wasn't too loud. Oh they were very gracious with us. We were 15 minutes late because I wouldn't stop talking in the pre lunch meeting. Yeah I'm that guy. Figures I'd be on Yelp.

The meat was moist, tasty, properly salted, with a discernible bark. The amount of cheese, sauerkraut, & dressing accentuated the pastrami, although so much meat would be hard to impact! It needed the long spear to stay together. But yet I could cut & shave & make mini sandwiches. The potato salad was a great refresher. Not too tart, with carrots, celery, & I could taste onion. The pickle was not too acidic. Great crunch. A nice interlude between bites of the sandwich & potato salad. I took my time. It went into overtime. Washing it down with coke. My taste buds won. Great service. A nice diner like vibe. Incredible menu. We don't have this level of Jewish Deli in the Bay Area. I'd go every week. $36.18 is with it! I threw in a $10 tip for a great meal & nice waitress.

While I was downtown, I picked up about $92 worth of food, including 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp salad that couldn't be ordered online because, for some reason, the website would not allow it. The very next day, when we went to eat it, something was clearly wrong. The shrimp salad caused a tingling sensation on our tongues, and it was obvious it had gone bad. I called the deli to let them know not just because we couldn't eat it, but because I thought they would want to know if there was a potential issue with the batch. Instead of receiving an apology or any concern, I was met with a dismissive response of, "Oh, that's weird," and the conversation felt condescending. I explained that I couldn't bring the shrimp salad back because I'm leaving town and my mother has limited mobility. I wasn't asking for a refund on our entire order. I simply asked if they could issue a gift card or store credit for the shrimp salad so my mother could use it on a future visit. Every possible solution I suggested was met with an excuse as to why it couldn't be done. The spoiled food was disappointing, but the lack of empathy and customer service was worse. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect when they raise a legitimate concern. After years of supporting 4th Street Deli, this experience has unfortunately convinced us that it will be our last visit. I'm reading they have new owners, so maybe it's not the same amazing management we are used to.

Atlantic Ave near the train tracks in Audubon. Their menu drew me in as they offer a wide selection of soups by the day as well as sandwiches, wraps, grilled cheese, burgers and hot dogs. Just think cozy comfort food. The inside has ample seating if you plan to dine in and a small counter in the rear to order out. I was greeted by a friendly young lady who was patient with me as I looked over the menu. I decided on a grilled cheese and green split pea soup. It was hard to decide because there were so many yummy looking choices. Service was quick and efficient. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Everyone was very pleasant. The grilled cheese was perfect! So delicious! The split pea soup w/ homemade croutons and tiny bits of ham throughout sure hit the spot on this cold winter day. The place was very clean and cozy and there was a bit of a lunch rush so they definitely have a good reputation. Would love to see them expand their footprint. The edamame was standard, and the takoyaki and pan-fried dumplings didn't taste homemade. Rather they both reminded me of what you would pick up at the frozen section at the food market. Nevertheless, they were passable. After all, we were here for the ramen. I opted in for their Terakawa special. The broth was flavourful, and the chashu was the most tender and juicy chashu I've ever had. As for the girlfriend, she opted in for their spicy ramen which was also spectacular. I absolutely loved her wavy noodles. I would have loved to have swapped out my straight noodles for her wavy noodles. They have a nice bounce and slightly chewy texture. Their marinated eggs were to die for. We put in a few extra orders for these. Overall, a great experience. The staff seemed to be right on the ball, and this small and cozy restaurant definitely makes you feel transported to Japan.

The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme.
