Brooklyn loves a good bakery and we out of loyalty, will travel great lengths to patronize those that consistently offer deliciousness. I have a few faves of my own: Radio Bakery, Bakeri, Poppy's, and of course La Bicyclette Bakery is added to this list. This is my second visit to La Bicyclette Bakery and IMO this bakery is a fine authentic French Boulangerie baking with the freshest ingredients. The result: Quelle Magnifique! It makes me feel as if I'm back in a Paris boulangerie; the gorgeous artisanal breads, croissants and baguettes. Then there are the assortment of pastries: Oreillon apricot, Pear Almond Tarte, Apple Tarte (one of my faves) Sweet brioches, Pain Aux Raisins and Chocolate Roule to name a few. The savory sandwiches include fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil and the outstanding Ham and Cheese. Not just your humdrum H & C but the freshest ham on a delicious baguette with my fave, Comte cheese.. talk about elevating this simple jambon-buerre ( that's sandwich in French for all you Parisians!) It was one of the best I've had! In fact, I asked to have my jambon-buerre sliced in half to take half home.. well that didn't work as I devoured it all. They also sell sweet and savory condiments to create Parisian delights at home. Additionally, you can purchase their cute T- shirts. The bakery has a small eating area with cute little wooden side tables. The staff is friendly, sweet and professional as they serve and slice with pride. A touch of Paris is in the air in Cobble Hill. Comme c'est doux! LBB has three locations: Cobble Hill, Williamsburg and Fort Greene. Fawn has 3 special destinations to one of her faves. What would make Fawn happier? You know... open one in Bay Ridge!

5 stars for their baguette. It's the best baguette I've ever had and it's only $2. 3 stars for their pastries. I've tried five different pastries over multiple visits and every single time I'm disappointed. Everything looks like it would be light and flakey but they are dull and sad in reality. They definitely look better than they taste unfortunately. I keep giving their pastries a chance and every time I say never again. Just stick to the baguette!

I love french bakeries so much! I was happy to learn about this bakery + that it was actually very close to the Trader Joe's I go to. We ordered so much items to share: 1) $2 fresh baguette, 2) 2 baguette sandwich (ham+cheese & arugula brie w/ jam), 3) apero baguette (ham&cheese variation), 4) almond choco croissant, 5) choco croissant), 6) croissant, 7) choco roule, 8) chasson aux pommes, 9) apricot oreillon, 10) financier, 11) berry danish, 12) pear almond. We also ordered 1 iced latte + 1 hot latte. Baguette - I have tried many different baguettes in NYC + this one was pretty good and for a good price ($2). But it isn't the best baguette I have tried - I recently tried the laminated baguette from Alf's Bakery + that was mind blowing. Baguette sandwich - The ham+cheese one was good, but the star was the arugula brie w/ jam one! Apero baguette (ham & cheese variation) - This one was pretty good when toasted. I see more cheese pieces on it than ham. Almond choco croissant - Out of all 3 croissants I tried, this one was my favorite. Soft & great flavors! Choco croissant - This one was good, but not the best I have eaten so far. Croissant - The one was good, and also not the best I have eaten so far. Choco roule - It was good but not my most favorite Chasson aux pommes - If you like to eat things that are similar to an apple pie, then you would like this. This item was one of my favs from here. Apricot oreillon - delicious! This apricot pastry was yum! Financier - I would skip this item. It was ok. Berry danish - not much berry or cream in this pastry. It was ok. Pear almond - it was quite tasty. The lattes were standard. Staff were friendly + there is indoor area to sit down and eat your pastries.

Highly-recommended by French-Americans! Things were pretty good, croissant was okay. Label rouge baguettes was good, esp with proper butter. Would return to try pain campagne baguette and quiche. Would love to see a meatless savory specialty bread, perhaps another day!

Woke up early to head to the bakery before all of their goodies were sold out. I thought it was one of the most beautiful pastries I've ever had.

I came for Sunday breakfast in a recommendation from my cousins. Once again, they did not let me down. We lucky only had a couple people infront of us inline and were able to snag two of the limited seats in the back. Definitely plan for this to be a grab and go situation as the line grew after we got our food. We got two of their prepared sandwiches and this is probably the best baguette I've ever had. Both sandwiches were immediately devoured. I especially liked the Brie, fig jam, and arugula sandwich but the crunch from the cornichons was also superb. The pastries and coffee are also really great.

Great addition to the area! I've been a few times and have enjoyed everything. My favorite pastry has been their savory chorizo and cheese pastry. So unique and can't get it anywhere else. The most recent time I tried their ham and cheese croissant and a blueberry financier. Both were excellent. The croissant was $9 so definitely something great if you want to treat yourself :). Will be back many many times.

Lovely staff, lovely bakery and delicious pastries. What a treat for a Sunday morning. Would highly recommend popping in here if you're nearby and want some fab bread (at only $2 a baguette) and tasty pastries

Fresh pastries, very friendly staff, but as a member of this community for quite some time- it still very much looks like Sals Pizzeria that was there before them. They need a few interior and exterior changes to really make their new name in the community. Even the outdoor awning is the same color as the pizzerias was. Another suggestion is some more seating. This neighborhood thrives on casual hangouts for our old timers and new comers. ESPECIALLY being across the street from our well known Le French Tart Bakery, you guys have some competition as it is! Some outdoor seating would make you stand out for sure. Lastly, please get the front door fixed. It is SUPER HEAVY and hard to open, and I'm strong ! Quality of treats here are fresh and baked new everyday- so I will be back for sure. But my suggestions would increase my rating... I will give you guys some more time to settle in and edit my review! Congrats and welcome to the neighborhood

Delicious bakery with the perfect ambiance and staff! Baguettes are light and airy but just chewy enough.

I enjoyed my filter coffee. They have filter coffee as well as an espresso machine so you can get your cappuccinos, lattes etc. too

This place definitely lives up to the hype! The food here is amazing, and when I say food, I mean…read moremore than just the baked goods. Starting off with the baked goods, the brown butter corn cake may be the single best pastry I've had in my life. It has a great crispy exterior and a super moist and decadent interior that just makes it the best pastry you could ever ask for. I also think they have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city, and their cinnamon roll is light yet executed perfectly. In addition to their pastries, their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is this chili crisp tofu sandwich. It is packed with great flavor, perfectly tender tofu, and is layered between two pieces of delicious bread. I also love their arugula burrata prosciutto sandwich that is paired so nicely with their focaccia, making each bite the ultimate experience. While I've never waited in a really long line, I can say that they do move pretty efficiently. Unfortunately, there isn't much room to eat inside, but on a nice day, if you can grab a table outdoors, it's a great experience in the lovely Greenpoint neighborhood.

There was basil in the first sandwich that cuts through the fattiness of the meat and cheese which was great. The second sandwich had this spicy sesame sauce which was so good - was not expecting to like the tofu one that much. Brown butter corn bread was the most moist one I've ever had and the top was so crispy. Rhubarb pastry was good but nothing special - didn't taste the rhubarb.

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .
