Found this place by mistake. Was in an emergency need for a spare contact while on vacation. After calling around to 20+ doctors this place was the best. In the Rockefeller / Grand Central area I went to Grand Central Optical, Lens Crafter, and another that was so memorable I can't remember it's name. They are pressure and greed. NOT La Bleu!!!! "I don't want to sell you a pair of glasses, just to sell you a pair glasses." I had good frames, so Isabella talked me into just replaces the lenses. I was visiting Time Square, NY from Miami, FL for New Years 2023. My 10 year old daughter had a crack in her glasses frame. We went in to buy an emergency back up pair and ultimately I'm grateful because instead of trying to upsell me anything or give me the wrong advice , they were able to educate me on her getting an exam due to her vision progressing. They didn't just advise and tell me, but they called and scheduled my daughters optometry appointment right there on the spot (not all talk.... they are action as well). Turned out she had an outdated prescription and they were able to fully replace her glasses for her within 15 minutes. I've never seen such efficient service of folks that go above and beyond. From the moment we walked through the door they were super helpful throughout the whole process. I would 100% recommend anyone go here for quality service. There were people in the store that have been clients for decades. I saw this as a true testament to their customer service. Such a pleasant experience! They have a lovely selection of quality glasses and don't mind that you try on 30 pairs before finding the one. They accept VSP and, as I understand it, lots of other insurance plans as well. Fitting me for glasses is challenging, but they persevered and wouldn't let me leave until I was satisfied. I highly recommend La Blue Optique. Happy that I didn't go elsewhere. (Oh and they do eye exams as well, even though I didn't need one.) read more

I would give La Bleu 10 stars if I could. We walked in based on the reviews from fellow Yelpers and we were so impressed with Igor and Izabella. Igor was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what would look good on my husband. He pulled out several frames, even the one he was wearing, and was so patient as my husband tried them all on. We finally decided on a pair and we were blown away at the quality of the frames. This is not your typical eye boutique. This is a custom, one of a kind place where the quality is so evident. After we decided on the frame, Izabella stepped in and took care of all the paperwork. She is equally as amazing as Igor! The whole process was so smooth and enjoyable. He spent half an hour picking out frames for me and I have to say he has a really good eye in picking out the right style that I would never have tried on otherwise. It's been two weeks since my initial review. I just want to give an update regarding my purchase experience. So I went back to the store the very next day and met the store owner. He was very nice and helpful. He offered me the option of either a full refund or adding a custom made nose pad for free. I opted for the free custom nose pad since I actually really like the frame. Just picked up my sunglasses today and I love how it looks amazing on me without constantly falling off. Overall the owner is very friendly and helpful.
