In my 20's,I was a bit of a clubber, and now that I have just turned 30, I am really not much into the club scene, but I have been here about 5 times the last time in 2012. The club has it's pros and cons like everything, but I think my overall rating of a three is fairly accurate. Pros: Good music if you're into Merengue, Bachata, or Tipico, like myself The club is rather large, so there is space on the dancefloor They have some comfy couches if you're doing bottle service They do a live stream, or at least used to do a live stream, on La Mega The bouncers were rather friendly The Mark Twain Diner that was a few blocks away had some great eggs after a long night of clubbing Cons: The line can be very long to get inside the club They have a mandatory coat check, and one of the last times I was there, they lost my trench coat. The worker started to yell at me because I refused to accept their reply that, "they would call me, if it was found". Hell no, go find my damn coat! They ultimately found it after some YELLING. The crowd sometimes was a little awkward, I won't eleaborate on that statement, but it's just a heads up Overall, great music, large club, chicks dancing on the pole if thats your thing, but sometimes I felt there are some things left to be desired at La Boom.

[ENGLISH]They had an event for El Grupo Niche on July 22 at 10pm. I called the place to confirm it was wheelchair accessible since my dad (who uses a wheelchair due to complication of COVID 19 two years ago) and family would be excited to go. The lady in the phone confirmed it was wheelchair accessible. I sent my parents with my sister and a friend. This was going to be my dad first concert since he started using a wheelchair. When they got there they were told they couldn't. I called the place multiple times and at first a guy answered me basically not knowing what to do and he even hung up on me. The event manager, Enrique Perez, wouldn't let my dad in. One hour passed and asking for a refund, I was able to speak to Osvaldo Sosi, he informed me that the place was indeed wheelchair accessible and he would communicate with the place. After an hour of humiliation they finally speak to my family to let them know they can go in, but since the event was general admission they would be all the way in the back and won't be able to see the group. It was very degrading for all of us, especially for my dad. I tried to contact the place again through the regular phone number (718)726-6646 and they did not answer at the phone anymore. This was supposed to be a fun event for my dad since he hasn't been able to enjoy outside life as much since he became wheelchair bound, but it turn out to be worst experience. I don't even know if they will give me a refund. Do not recommend this place. Horrible. OBVIOUS DISCRIMINATION!!! My family went to another place Lima(85-7 Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights), they had a bar and music and were able to dance there, where they had fun WITHOUT being DECEIVED or DISCRIMINATED AGAINST.

FAST SERVICE , very attentive in concerts! Especially the security is very helpful!

Easy to get to, everyone's really nice! The security is super helpful. Drinks are at a great price! Price for the tickets are perfect , everyone can afford them and it's easy to get to for anyone in the 5 boroughs !

Blood from bottle girl trying to open the bottle

Pros: Large Venue, Good VIP area, great artists Cons: Personally bought tickets at the office and was told bottle service in the VIP area would be $500.00 and that j would have a spot reserved. To no surprise, because obviously customer service is the last priority for this establishment, I show up to celebrate my birthday and the young woman in charge of directing me to the VIP had none situated for me. Additionally, the "bottle girls" we up-charging the service by $100.00 to $150.00 depending on which VIP one wanted. This obviously ruined my experience from the start. If you tell a loyal customer one thing and decide to screw them over, well that's how this establishment will also be screwed over. Oh and to top off the start of my night the bottle girl cut herself trying to open the bottle and got blood over the napkins and neglected to give us new ones at the very least. Talk about unsanitary. Get it together La Boom

Don't pay money upfront. Don't go out of your way to come here. Not worth it. Save yourself the headache and find another club.

The menu is entirely in Spanish but the waiters can help if needed. We ordered the Gobernador taco, a half dozen shrimp, the regular guacamole and the aguachiles verdes. The Gobernador was a large size - really more like a mini quesadilla than a taco in my mind. It was flavorful and filled with seafood. The half dozen shrimp were cooked well, but a little hard and messy to peel. The guac was good, a little oily but tasty. The aguachiles were really good but borderline too spicy for me. The spice continued to build as I ate them and it did feel less enjoyable but it was good to start. My main grievance with this restaurant was how loud it was. I was yelling and struggling to hear what my friend or the waiter said, but the food was delicious. Maybe if it were less crowded it would be ok, but definitely not a great atmosphere for having a conversation.

I ordered Carne Asada ,Medium . Which I never received, it wasn't like it was busy or anything. Server never once came to our table asking if anything was ok . I just waited patiently for my meal . After her Meal was finished she flagged down the server and asked where is my meal . She then apologized stating she forgot to put my order in .. I was upset after she walks by our table all night seeing me sitting there with no dinner. A good server would ask how is everything, but no not once . I said then cancel the order but my partner insisted I eat , but then after I decided to have it bagged to go . I had lost my appetite. I asked for the check with the server apologizing, I said it's ok but the restaurant should at lest comp the my girlfriend her one cocktail . But that didn't even happen.. The food looked great as far as I could tell , owner was sitting at the front of the Restaurant, didn't ask tables at anytime if customers are happy with their food and service. I don't get it I he noticed me sitting there with an empty table and a coke . I don't think Food or Location is the problem, it's missing customer service, and wait staff should be trained properly. My food is still in the fridge , lost my desire to try . Place wasn't even busy . I am giving 3 stars just for the chef , wasn't her fault. Table service and management 0 stars .
