Worst place I've ever been to. Went out with a group of 12 people for a birthday. Paid for a birthday package a week before and arrived the day of at 11:50 pm. Got to the location at 12 and never got served. After trying to get our bottles and speaking with multiple managers nothing was resolved. They then came at 3:20 am trying to serve our bottles and told us that they had run out of the bottles we asked for. The place closed at 4am so we asked for a refund. Even trying to get a refund was a problem. The staff in general from the bottle girls, management and security are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. The club has it's pros and cons like everything, but I think my overall rating of a three is fairly accurate. Pros: Good music if you're into Merengue, Bachata, or Tipico, like myself The club is rather large, so there is space on the dancefloor They have some comfy couches if you're doing bottle service They do a live stream, or at least used to do a live stream, on La Mega The bouncers were rather friendly The Mark Twain Diner that was a few blocks away had some great eggs after a long night of clubbing Cons: The line can be very long to get inside the club They have a mandatory coat check, and one of the last times I was there, they lost my trench coat. The worker started to yell at me because I refused to accept their reply that, "they would call me, if it was found". Hell no, go find my damn coat! They ultimately found it after some YELLING. Last night I attended Young Mikos concert but I was very disappointed. The club took more than half of the club for VIP, which I thought it was ridiculous. For VIP you had to get bottle service one drink was $20. Overall experience was very disappointing after driving four hours for the concert. They open the doors at 10 PM and the tickets at 8 PM I don't know I recommend this club. The security is very hostile, and the event coordinators are very hostile. read more

I called the place to confirm it was wheelchair accessible since my dad (who uses a wheelchair due to complication of COVID 19 two years ago) and family would be excited to go. The lady in the phone confirmed it was wheelchair accessible. I sent my parents with my sister and a friend. This was going to be my dad first concert since he started using a wheelchair. When they got there they were told they couldn't. I called the place multiple times and at first a guy answered me basically not knowing what to do and he even hung up on me. The event manager, Enrique Perez, wouldn't let my dad in. One hour passed and asking for a refund, I was able to speak to Osvaldo Sosi, he informed me that the place was indeed wheelchair accessible and he would communicate with the place. After an hour of humiliation they finally speak to my family to let them know they can go in, but since the event was general admission they would be all the way in the back and won't be able to see the group. It was very degrading for all of us, especially for my dad. I tried to contact the place again through the regular phone number (718)726-6646 and they did not answer at the phone anymore. This was supposed to be a fun event for my dad since he hasn't been able to enjoy outside life as much since he became wheelchair bound, but it turn out to be worst experience. Additionally, the "bottle girls" we up-charging the service by $100.00 to $150.00 depending on which VIP one wanted. This obviously ruined my experience from the start. If you tell a loyal customer one thing and decide to screw them over, well that's how this establishment will also be screwed over. I'm writing this review after leaving la boom bc it sucked so bad! Super upset! This venue just sucks for concerts. I wish Id known that before paying for tickets. I was very excited to see an artist perform but the night just kept getting worse. Doors don't open when they're supposed to...a 9:30 show became an 11 pm show. At 2:30am I'd already been standing for five hours waiting for this artist. This all would have been fine i guess but its a Sunday and advertised as a 9:30 show. My friend slipped in the men's bathroom bc it was covered in urine There were people pushing, shoving and becoming aggressive especially after waiting so long Drinks are kind of expensive for their size but that's the least of it I did get to see openers but they're sets were a lot longer than a lot of sets ive seen in the past. At some point they were playing the same song over again.... Very bizarre experience but now I know this how it is for a club... Also, expect a thorough pat down with a thorough bag check. I would honestly rate this club a zero if I could, I had the worst experience this past weekend. The reason we picked this spot to celebrate my friend's bachelorette is because her sister in law is 19 and on the website it says ladies is 18 and up to get in. When she called to confirm that information, they told her Saturday nights are 21 and over only, so the sister ended up staying home. We arrived at the club and there were 2 lines to get into the club, one for under and the other was for over 21 year old. We got into inside and there are 2 ladies at the door, one searches you and the other checks your bag. As the lady was checking my bag, I noticed she took the opened pack of gum out of my bag and I was curious to why? I've never been to a club where I'm not allow to bring in gum??? We stayed for a few minutes then left. As we were leaving, the guy that works for the club at the food tent approached us asking if we wanted food and letting us know it was free, we politely declined but he kept coming at us with an attitude wanting to know why we didn't want "free" food and asking if we were on a diet...now that's degrading! We left the spot and I noticed that my credit card is missing. I'm not one to accuse anyone of stealing but I definitely think the lady who searched my bag threw my gum out also stole my credit card. If it's true then it is absolutely disgusting and blindblowing how the owner haven't caught up to this kind of behevior. I called back the next day to make a complaint about the incident that happened the night before but the number listed wasn't even the direct number to the club. Celebrated my 23 birthday here last Friday July 8. Had a blast, bottles service was exceptional. Bottle girls and hookah men were very attentive. Hosts in the front showed us where everything was, very friendly. They were able to accommodate my birthday celebration even though, they " don't do birthdays on Fridays". Oro Solido and La Orquesta Femenina Tahonnas were Fantastic!!! Granted I barely sat down at my own VIP. But I didn't go there to sit I went there to CELEBRATE! Got many shout outs! From the beginning of the night to the very last second It was a DISASTER. I reserved a gold birthday package for my sister but after speaking with them on the phone about 3 times, once we got there, they said there was no reservation... the waitress was such a despicable being, looked at us wrong and said there was no casamigos but after speaking to her 3 times again, she magically brought out the casamigos. Then, 5 hours into the night we never got the cake nor the lights, no shoutout, no video - which was supposedly part of the birthday package. Because It wasn't $100, It was over $1,400. i decided to go speak to the manager. i was directed to Ozzie. Another despicable, extremely rude, no Morals person who committed a BATTERY against me once he put his hands on me by grabbing my shoulders and shoving me back. i went to ask for the several missing items from the bday package but he got mad because I was "complaining for nothing" as he shouted while spitting at me as well. then all of the waitresses got around me saying I'm crazy. when I was simply asking for the several items we were paying for because It wasn't charity. the "manager" Ozzie walked away. then another manager, Laura came out to speak to me and said to forgive Ozzie for committing BATTERY. But at least she tried to help by asking what was the issue. After getting physically touched and BATTERED by Ozzie, they magically had a cake and the lights. We got the cake at 3:45am, basically at the end of the night. The waitress, so difficult to look at, since she had a contemptuous look toward us the entire night. She dropped off the cake as if she was feeding pigs at a farm. I am never Going back to this "establishment" again. Went here for a friend's birthday who loves to dance. A $20 cover seems a little high for a Queens club (I got there at 11pm), $25 after midnight apparently. Most of the group got there at 10:30pm, am not sure if there is a discount since there wasn't anything going on inside at all and it was so early. The place is spacious and fills up quickly. My group had an area on the couches reserved. It felt like the Queens version of a latin Webster Hall. There was a very young crowd, girls with way-too-short-skirts and way too many latin guys with looong- well-kept ponytails. Is this the new trend? The place seems pretty unpretentious compared to what it sells itself as. Besides having the excessive 5 different checkpoints to enter (ID, guestlist, pat-down, payment window, coat check-no Coats allowed at all), people seemed to go there to dance and enjoy themselves, in couples and small groups. There was a good mix of music at the beginning of the night (merengue, bachata), but then a 1/2 hour later the DJ began playing Way-Too-Much techno mixed with latin. It was too loud, the songs were cut short, and the smoke machine was running way too much. Apparently the station on the radio DJ's from La Boom directly on Saturday's. I'd rather listen to my friend's mixes. The strippers/go-go dancers were entertaining because they were so corny. The girl and guy were on separate pedestals in the middle of the dance floor, everyone ran to watch them. Guy started out in a cop costume- barf. The midget in an elf costume that got up on the pedestal behind our couch was a little too much. I hope he gets paid well. At least he seemed to be really into latin music drowned out by techno. I wasn't into this at all besides the few danceable songs. Glad it's so convenient from the subway though. Obviously Parking sucks because of their Location but there's ways around that - Drinks are pretty good depending on Bartender , but a little Pricey. Great Vibes and Good Music . Went to La Boom for my Bdayy, we got a private table, i called ahead and they were excellent. Im kind of surprised by all the negative reviews, but then again its very easy to have a negative experience at a club. The bouncer allowed us to go to the front of the line and gave my friends who came late no trouble to get in. The music was great mostly reggaeton but they did mix in sone hip hop and pop music toward the end.
