This location has terrible customer service. There are two ladies who always gets my order wrong and has over charged me on a few occasions. I just don't want to make a scene so I let it go. You would think that they would know what their items cost and that they would put the correct order in the bag when you get it "to go" They also take forever for orders to be filled. I ordered hot tea and coffee. The person at the counter acted liked I was bothering her. I had to ask for my bag of tea, and hot water. She was rude and seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere else. I am very disappointed with this place. If you like La Bou go to the one in Rancho or the on at Madison & Garfield in the north area. No need to waste your money on rude service. read more

I usually come here pretty early in the morning to get some of their freshly baked goodies. I have been to a lot of La Bou locations, and this is the one location that I really like. When I go to La Bou, I expect the warm smell of fresh bread being baked, and I always get that from here. And to top it off, the people that works here are really friendly. read more

Usually I'm in love with labou's delicious croissant. Today was not consistent. I ordered a ham/cheese & turkey/cheese croissant. She repeated my order you wanted spinach/cheese croissant? No I repeated to the young lady that was working there that I wanted ham/cheese & turkey croissant. She said ok and went to grab our croissants. Got in the car and took a bite of the ham/cheese croissant and it tasted completely stale. Disappointing. Then we took a bite of the turkey croissant and it was spinach. We specifically said we didn't want spinach. How hard is it to take an order of two croissants? Never going to this labou again. read more

Unfortunately this place seems to be on its last leg, it looked run down and empty. I ordered a turkey panini which was pitiful had barely anything on it. I had to ask for extra sauce and condiments. Not to mention the over pricing does not validate the product. I'll choose Subway over this any day. read more

Food is good. Demi baguettes with the dill dressing is my husband's favorite. However, as a restaurant, it's filthy. It would really benefit from a professional cleaning service and make necessary repairs to restroom fixtures. May just get our food to go next time. read more

Really disappointed in the sandwhich I ordered. It was the Tuscany Turkey and I paid 6.95. It was not a full sandwhich at best . It was flat as a pancake with 2 slices of turkey and 1 bell pepper slice for entire sandwhich and it had 0 flavor. I expected more from Labou. Will not order again. read more

Quality of food is consistent. Customer service is terrible. ALWAYS Check your order. They mess mine up almost every time at this location. Never have had a bad experience at any other locations. The people working the register need to pay attention. Make sure you don't get charged for things you didn't order, this has happened to me several times. I am taking college classes in the area and needed a lunch spot in between my classes where I could study or do homework. I was looking for a Lou Bou as it has always been one of my favorite places for a healthy lunch and the Elk Grove location is great. I go on an average of twice a week. The staff at this particular location is very welcoming and friendly. I love their salads. The lettuce that they use is very crisp and green. Not the cheep ice burg stuff. Their soups are all wonderful and they have several to chose from each day. I normally go for a cup of soup and a half salad or half sandwich combo with a Mango iced tea. They also serve coffee, and hot and cold mocha's along with a variety of other types of drinks. I really like their iced white mocha as I feel that you get a good amount for your money. My only complaint is about where you pick up your order. The nice ladies behind the counter place your plate on top of a class display case that is rounded. The plate does not sit completely on the top and so I have actually lost portions of my food to the floor when picking the plate up. I would suggest that since they are not really using that display case anyways that they remove it and put a flat counter that is not so high up. Over all I do love the Elk Grove La Bou and the staff. Great food and very welcoming! read more

Cleanliness is questionable, the owners attitude is horrible, but the food is pretty good as well as the service, but my reviews are based on management and product quality and how it's presented. I love this La Bou! I go here 5 times a week. The new owner is great; he delivers to my company and the food was amazing. Their freezes, soups and salads are delicious. I'm seeing a lot new faces now, I like that. All the terrible cashiers got fired. Now they have this separate room for you to reserve if you have a meeting or a group. I reserve it on Sunday for my family and buy pastries to go for my church. I like the pictures on the wall and the indoor plants too, makes the room green. read more

I WAS a regular here until the new owners took over. I know it takes some time to adjust , but they are having a really hard time. The dill is watered down. The soup is not what it use to be. They don't even fill up the cup. My order has been wrong majority of the time since the new owners have taken over or forget my spoon/ fork. I am really trying to be patient, but with the wait time and cost I'm not sure I can wait anymore. They should have kept the old staff. They were wonderful, always hooked it up and were fast. I don't have 20 minutes to wait for a soup or salad that is already made. I hope they can get it together and fast! read more

Their salad is everything . Their dill sauce is low key addicting . I like to dip my baguette into it even my sandwiches . Their hot croissants are so good . Chai tea is good , a bit on the spicy side if I can remember . Service is always friendly . Once my boyfriend got a sandwich , without realizing , it had bacon and they happily replaced it without questioning it. Usually an older crowd setting . I've been coming here for as long as I can remember! It was my favorite place to stop by on the way home from private school down the street when I was like 6. The food is so so yummy! My favorite is the Asian Noodle Salad and the bread with dill sauce. The dill sauce is AMAZING. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but there are a few cons. Service is ok, once I even got kinda yelled at for asking something that was apparently on the board overhead. Also, there was a hair in my sandwich once which was gross but the lady making the food was mean so I just broke the piece with it off insead of asking for a new one. Another time I bought bread and it had something that looked like mold on it but when I pointed it out to the manager he apologized and gave me a coupon for another one and free garlic bread! Also they seem to run out of things really quickly. I go for the food so only minus 1 star for the bad service since once I get my food I don't have to deal with the staff anymore. Their food is good, service is okay, if you get someone that speaks English. But if you want a croissant with anything in it, other than plain, get there by nine am, because They never have them EVER. I think whoever managed this store needs to be more prepared.
