Decent enough food, but wrapped in a very small tortilla so it was more like a taco. It didn't hold the food in. Also the bacon wasn't chopped up, so when you took a bite, the whole bacon strip tried to go with you... It's too bad... This location has potential, but noticed their display cases seem dirty.... Look at the sides of the case... One side has a bunch of pencils and straws stuck between the glass case and the counter.... Probably won't come back unless I hear of improvements.... read more

Two stars today even after I let the girl at the counter know she had a fly landing on all of the cookies scones and muffins she blew me off and said well we make them fresh every day. La Bou salads used to be soooo good. I was craving a chicken salad today, one that would go well with their famous dill dressing. My son used to buy the dressing and eat with a loaf of bread for afternoon snacks. The cashier recommended the house salad. Much to my disappointment, the house salad doesn't include any chicken. I love this place! I am very picky and on top of that I follow a low carb lifestyle. They always brain storm new combinations and adjust the price of the meal accordingly. A lot of places that I go to will gladly take off the egg, but they still charge full price and will add additional charges for any add ons. Absolutely the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life! The turkey was of very poor quality, had the texture and appearance of bologne. The sandwich did not come out as described on the random pieces of paper littering the menu. The Cesar salad look yummy but also was just blah. Nothing special about it at all. I was kind of disappointed in this restaurant. Walking in, all I could smell was wet washcloths. I almost lost my appetite because the smell was so overwhelming. This place is really expensive for just soup and sandwiches. A panini, cup of soup and small chai tea latte cost me $14. The chai tea latte was half ice and tasted watered down on the first sip. The chicken club panini was about the size of my hand and had no flavor. The only part of my meal I enjoyed was the spicy Thai soup. I've held off writing this review for several months because I'd hoped that things would improve. They haven't. I go to La Bou oftimes in the a.m. on Saturdays or Sundays. I arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. They are always out of nearly all varieties of scones. I happen to think La Bou scones are the best. Not a fan of cinnamon wheat. Apparently, others aren't either because that's the variety that is alwaysthe kind that is left. This morning, Mothers Day, almost the entire case of pastries was wiped out at 8:45 a.m. Again 2 cinnamon wheat scones left, no others. I took the last cinnamon roll and one of 2 almond croissants remaining. Obviously, they should have expected more business today. There were 3-4 families when I was there + many couples. I've mentioned the lack of scone variety to the staff several times. Its met with uninterested shrugs. One worker, young guy, hat on backwards, needs some help in customer service. He's not rude, just slow and uninterested. Although, on one occasion, he held up the line for several minutes while cheerfully waiting on 2 Jr High girls who couldn't decide what they wanted. He was back to stone face with other customers. The very petite Asian woman who makes sandwiches and fills orders is 5-star: pleasant, efficient and accommodating. Could not ask for better customer service. The food, up until today, has always been good. Salads, sandwiches, soups are great. Today, I took a chocolate croissant among my 6 pastries. Normally, the croissants are stellar. This one was like sweet bread, had none of the flaky layers of a croissant and it was overdone. Don't know if it was old or just poorly made. I have visited this La Bou location since I was a little girl, many years ago. This La Bou has had consistent flavor and food products, I continue to return time after time for a healthy meal option. My favorite things to order are the caesar salad and the chunky chicken noodle soup in a lunch combo for around $7-8 a person. Usually this combo comes with a moderately sized salad and a bowl of soup along with a few slices of baguette. La Bou also has very delicious dill dressing that pairs well when eaten with spinach salad or plain baguette slices. Another one of my staple orders is the yummy variety of fresh brewed iced tea selections. For breakfast options, La Bou bakes delicious chocolate chip croissants. I continue to return to this La Bou, and other locations, for their yummy food and quick service. read more

Everything tasted like it was bought from a local supermarket and display as if they bake there own goodies. The cookies tasted horrible and old, my soup tasted like can soup and give me a stomachache half a hour later. There's a reason there's never a line. Empty display cases, lack of options, prices are the same at places that actually toast your bagel and put the cream cheese on it (which they don't), and don't just use a panini press. Their food game is super weak. Opening for dinner to try and increase their revenue when they never even evaluated the current model. I love the food at La Bou, but I have to say the people here seem really unhappy. It's almost a theme at most La Bou restaurants I've been to. The person taking my order is never happy and sometimes just has outright attitude. I never get a greeting or thank you for my order. If it wasn't for the food here, I don't think I'd ever go to La Bou. Most of their food is good though. My regular choices are chinese chicken salad, spicy thai chicken soup, la bou club, and the sliced baguette with dill dressing. Great food, but bad service. This La Bou location does not accept la bou gift cards which was a huge disappointment to find out at the register. I feel that it is inappropriate and bad customer service. The food was just okay and the service not great. This restaurant could use a huge remodel, at least of their menu which has things crossed out and white paper with handwriting covering their menu. Without fail, they will get your order wrong. The "House Salad" is always missing something. Not sure how they can't remember the FIVE things that are supposed to be on it: lettuce, tomato, avocado, cucumber, cheese. I gave them three chances, and all three visits they got it wrong. Bizarre! Used to LOVE this place. Awesome soup and salads. We used to go all the time. Unfortunately, it changed ownership about 2 years ago and new owner has run it into the ground. Weird decor added. Strange half room built. All kinds of hand written changes to the menu and other things- increased prices with hand written notes. Food quality decreased. Worst of all, it's not kept clean and is in disrepair. Final straw was finding a hair in food. Won't return now. RIP old La Bou!! read more

La Bou will never let you down if you desire a fresh sandwich or salad for lunch. I only wish they were open later because I would go there for dinner too! I love their baguettes with dill sauce... you can't go wrong spending like $2 and feeling like a French person who doesn't give a damn about carbohydrates. Turkey sandwich on baguette is also good.
