Update: Came back again (because of course we did) and it's still just as good. We stuck with our usual, thin crust well done, and that crunch is still everything. It's one of those places where you don't even have to think about your order because you already know it's going to hit. We actually brought it to another get-together recently and once again people were asking where the pizza was from, which always makes me laugh because it happens every time. Service was just as friendly as always, and I still love that when we call in they recognize our order and let us know about any coupons without us even asking. We had two pizzas - the veggie Jackson and pepperoni, bell pepper and mushrooms. They seemed to be stingy with the pepperoni like there's a shortage or something. I've heard plenty of good things about Lamppost Pizza but have never experienced it myself until about a week ago. We ordered a total of 3 pizzas for Game 7 of the World Series and I can assure you that those good things I've heard were true. The pizzas had ingredients that you could tell were fresh and I really loved the amount of cheese they had. I ordered takeout but the service was good. One of the most frustrating things about places is when they make false promises. We were told the pizza would take 15-20 min and 30 minutes later we're still waiting for our name to be called.. There was no apologies or "thank you for waiting" or anything. On top of how long it took, I asked for 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 garlic chicken on white sauce. So they decided to not put any BBQ sauce at all on any of it, because I asked for a white sauce base..? The "large" pizza looked like an average medium and I really don't think it was worth the money. Also the crust was undercooked (Photos for reference). The crust thickness was customizable and it was cooked just right. There was some buy one, get one 50% off so I ordered two large pizzas, potato wedges, garlic bread, buffalo wings and two -2 liter sodas for under $100. The pricing was slightly more expensive online, but when I paid in the store, they told me about their 50% promotion so it was cheaper than expected. I've been ordering from Lamppost Pizza in Elk Grove for the past three months, and up until recently, I was delighted. Every time I ordered an extra‑large pizza, I would ask for a couple of whole pepperoncini, and they were always given as a courtesy without any issue. However, during my most recent visit, the cashier told me I would have to pay $5 for the same pepperoncini I had always received for free. I asked her to check with the manager, since this had never been a problem before. She asked someone in the kitchen, and the answer was simply that I needed to pay if I wanted them. I left disappointed. When I'm already spending nearly $70 for two extra‑large pizzas, I don't think a couple of pepperoncini should be treated like a premium add‑on. Even places like Papa John's include them for free with every pizza. This experience really changed how I feel about ordering here, and I'm not sure I'll be returning. Moved from the Bay Area to Elk Grove a few years ago and have been struggling to find a good pizza place. I usually like Round Table but they have been so inconstant lately I've been going elsewhere. A neighbour of mine introduced me to Lamppost and I am so happy they did. Have had then four times now and they are far the best I've had out here. Really good pizza! And so generous especially considering their prices. The only reason I didn't give then 5/5 is that they twice now I have ordered from them and asked them to leave off Bell Peppers from the pizza I ordered (Best of Seven) and both times they added them anyway. One of my coworkers recommended that I tried Lamppost Pizza. I've driven past this place many times. I needed to pickup pizza for work and they are open late Friday evenings. I've been able to stop in and make my orders and take it in to work fresh and hot! I've done this five times. My coworkers and I enjoy the specialty one called the Linebacker. All of the orders were one point and consistent. The ladies that work there and helped me with my orders have been extremely helpful and cordial. The restaurant has ample seating areas. They even have games if you have kids to entertain. There's a whiteboard on their daily specials. It's a shared parking lot with other retailers/restaurants. I noticed that they have cauliflower pizza crust for the low carb/keto folks. I'll give that a try next. As we all know pizza isn't cheap. Prices on everything is rising. Not sure how i have missed this place all these years. Tonight we wanted pizza and i was in the area relying on YELP to guide me. We ended up here and they did not disappoint. My kids ran inside (one was missing a sock wearing slippers) the other had his shirt inside out. Let's say they were eager to get out hahaha. Everyone working was nice and welcoming. I asked for a menu that i can see cause their menu is high on the wall. They were quick to provide me menu and they have many options. We ordered a pizza and drinks and just relaxed while waiting. Our pizza was just the pepperoni and olives ( since the kids won't eat anything else) but it was yummy. The perfect amount of cheese and toppings. Kinda greasy but just dab it with a few napkins. We had a great night tonight. Pizza party with about 35 neighbors. Not a single complaint or concern about the food, service, or costs. We set this up with a manager named Matt. He reserved 4 tables for us. Every other worker we encountered was a 10! It's nice to see employees who have genuine happy smiles. Our food was five extra large pizzas, large pack (35) buffalo wings, two orders of cheesy garlic bread. All very tasty. And we had leftovers to take home.
