In addition to the brown lettuce there was a long piece of black hair in my food as well.

I have tried a lot of these peruvian chicken places and decided to try this one for lunch. I ordered the 1/4 white chicken combo with shrimp. My order was initially rung up incorrectly, but the person working there quickly corrected my ticket. This was not a big deal, but I have seen several reviews for this place complaining that orders seem to be incorrect frequently. I think the price point is good considering you get a drink and two sides. The inside looked clean and is spacious. My only real issue was the wait time. Most of these pollo a la brasa places get you in and out quickly during lunch, but this was the slowest I have experienced. I agree with another reviewer that calling in ahead is wise. The food itself was delicious and was a large portion. The shrimp were amazing and the chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Overall I think 4 stars is fair for this place.

The 2 "large" sizes for me looked like small. I was expecting a bit more for 2 large yucas. The fried yucas was alright tho.The chicken is alright had a smokey taste to it. Try to go for the chicken when you smell it outside from the store (i didint get mines cooked fresh which you know just a me thing). The people were very nice and can speak both english and spanish. They got apple pay and several mexican food options which i didint know of. The place was empty (i went around 2) and kinda dark. Maybe with more service this place could make some yummy food and upgrades (being the only pervivan style chicken in this area). In a short summary, not bad.

Enjoyed the chicken, ribs, beans & rice, and sweet plantains. My husband loves the chicken, but I thought the ribs were well cooked & seasoned. Meat falls off the bone, the white bone/cartilage is soft and can easily be chewed on without cracking your teeth (if you like eating the soft bones) - The crowns on my molars and teeth caps thank the chef! And no meal is complete without fried plantains!

The pork ribs do not disappoint. Always flavorful and falls off the bone. Excellent food in my humble opinion.

Ordered carna asada but they must of heard tostada chicken salad. It was filling. We also ordered chicken quesadilla and plantains.

FOOD: My sister ordered a spicy marg that she said was really good with the tajin rim. I got tacos and she got loaded tots. the tacos were good, although it was only 2 because it was off the happy hour menu, they were banging; the loaded tots were amazing as well and it was A LOT OF FOOD, also on the happy hour menu, so it was totally worth the price (tbh it's escaping me how much it was) SERVICE: quick and to the point. she was at the end of her shift so i get it, esepcially because she had to deal with the rush for the game BUT she was super kind regardless. coming back for sure.

The eggs were good, the bacon was just okay and not very crispy, the pancakes were very good, and the plantains were excellent. My wife ordered the Rock N Bowl. It was fine, but the tortilla bowl itself was the best part. The rice, chicken, and corn salsa were all decent, but nothing really stood out. I'd come back for the plantains and pancakes, but the rest of the food was pretty average. The ambience was great with good music but the fountain drinks were terrible. The soda machine had no ice (had to go to the bar for ice) and all the soda was flat. We had to let staff know and they went to the bar and gave us a much better soda. So overall for a first time visit and impression it was ok.

It was close to Green Spring Gardens, a place we were visiting nearby. I noticed immediately that you made orders on a touch screen kiosk and typed in the number on a restaurant pager buzzer to alert you when your food was ready. We signed up for points on our order with Taco Rock by giving my email address and earned a $2 off reward on our first order to use that day. We ordered takeout - 6 lengua tacos. I sat at the bar and was served an iced water without realizing it. The bartender asked what I was ordering, so I decided to sample the happy hour classic margarita for $6. It was fancy for a $6 Margarita with a toasted lime on it. Delicious. I was impressed at how courteous and efficient the bartender was at her job. I needed the iced water without realizing it being dehydrated from my outdoor walk. The takeout order was ready to go in ten minutes or less. There was a prep area for taco sauces. I got a few to go sauces. The tacos were spicy and had some thinly cut peppers in them. It was too spicy in one bite I had of a taco. Yet they were the best lengua tacos I had in this area. Dropped in a few weeks ago for the first time and sat at the outdoor bar. There was some huge soccer game so they were busy, but didn't forget about us. I ordered from the server computer thing and went across the board with the gringo, fried grouper and pollo tacos. Plain Jane enough but I'm a plain Jane kind of white guy. Idk if it was the captain and cokes but my wife and I went back for 3rds, and she went in for the ceviche. I'm telling you that alone rivaled anything I've had overseas, and after 6 years in LA trolling just about every taco joint there, Taco Rock could hold their own against anything in Cali. We actually ordered a huge catering package when we had some friends over this weekend and they didn't disappoint. They forgot a few things (there was a ton of it) but sent a guy straight away to drop it off. One of the better places I've been to in years.
