Taco Rock keeps getting better and better. One orders at a kiosk and the food is brought to yiur table. I usually order the flautas while my wife likes an assortment of different tacos. The quesadillas were good but I will still order the flautas. I really like the elote street corn side dish. We also order a side of chips and salsa. Three types of hot sauce are available to spice things up further!

This is a new spot and it was a very pleasant surprise. I tried 5 different tacos Rockfish - was my favorite, fish was well seasoned and slaw and sauce was delicious. We jammin jerk chicken was also really good this has the most flavor, the chicken, sauce and mango salsa was awesome. Shrimp was good, nice slaw but it's only one shrimp. The salmon taco was good not great but tasty. Grouper taco was solid choice, but if I gotta get a fish definitely go for the Rockfish. Had two sides yellow rice and black beans and they were full of flavor VERY GOOD !!!!! Service was quick and efficient. Looking forward to visiting again.

Taco rock has the best puff chips and cheese. The regular chips are in the picture, and those are also good, but the puff chips are just so unique and go perfectly with the cheese dip.

I've been on a quest to find good Mexican food in the DMV since I moved here. Being from California, it's my favorite cuisine and it has been a constant hunt. Taco Rock is good but doesn't hit the spot for what I really crave often. All the tacos were missing something to me seasoning wise, except the fish taco. I have a feeling all the exotic tacos are the best ones, so I'll definitely be back to try those soon and some margaritas. The service is good and everyone is nice that I came in contact with, despite placing my order online. Lorton definitely needed more restaurants/places to go for games, so I hope Taco Rock thrives and I'll be back to dine in soon.

    ROCK AND ROLLLLL decor! :)

TERRIFIC TACOS and NO COMPARISON NACHOS is what stood out here. The decor was very fun (rock and roll theme) and the salsa/sauces were extremely fresh and delicious. My husband and I had a wonderful meal here (he had a burrito and I had the taco salad with chicken and the one and only PUFF blue corn nachos with queso). HANDS DOWN the best "fast" Tex Mex I have ever had. They also host a lot of events (comedy nights etc) that I am definitely wanting to come back for, too. The employees were SO kind. They did not have to bring us food (it is a pick up set up) but they very kindly took everything to us and even asked if we needed anything else. It was top notch and we cannot WAIT to go back to the ROCK! :)

Delicious! Will be back for the grouper and ahi tacos, and probably to try a few others. Wasn't a fan of the rockfish, Memphis (not bad, just not my thing to have BBQ flavors on a taco), chicken, or lamb. But that could just be a matter of my tastes. All were prepared excellently. Note: I ordered pickup. Came in, grabbed my order with no hassle but also no verification from the staff that it was mine. My name was on the bag, though. It was ready on time

Cool vibes. I only tried the rockfish and the birria taco. The rockfish was bomb--but the pineapple salsa lowkey made the taco. The birria was pretty disappointing. I think the meat wasn't seasoned well, and the consommé was bad too. I'd even go as far as to say it was gross--I didn't even finish it. Prices seemed fair. Service was good, and the restaurant was clean.

I've visited here 4 times while visiting Woodbridge, VA. Great customer oriented bartenders providing incredible service. The Lobster taco is DELICIOUS! The place has a funky, hipster vibe with a Spanish flare. This is a must stop when in the area. Also $1 mimosas during happy hour!!!

It's so nice to have a local spot that serves fast casual meals and who the heck doesn't like tacos?? I've dined here a few times and picked up steak taco salads to go -- all haven't missed! So the theme is they play rock music and show the music video on the big screen at the same time. Personally, I'd rather watch sports and it's good the other two screens show games.

My friend and I went to celebrate her 80th birthday and I wanted everything to be so beautiful--and delicious--for her day. Bourbon & Fig fit the bill and exceeded my expectations. She noticed the rose on the table, the cover on the dainty sugar bowl, the steak knife resting on the edge of the blade (!), the pillow on the bench seating to separate us from the lovely couple next door, and the thistle on the wallpaper. I could go on, but I wouldn't have room for the food review! She practically swooned for the strawberry burrata salad. We both laughed at the "dirty" mashed potato (she thought it looked like a pine cone on the plate!), and artfully placed asparagus. We both had the filet mignon which was done just right for her--mine was ordered rare and didn't meet my standard: bleeding all over the plate but it was OK. Dessert was a dish of vanilla gelato with a sparkler for her and mine was--aaah, a chocolate dome--heaven. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Jackie, our server. A font of information about the restaurant, its origins, its owners, the food. She made our dinner such a wonderful experience. My friend has already made plans to lunch with her friends there! On another note: the support staff for the servers are mostly young people and we noted that they are receiving an outstanding education in the fine art of serving, clearing, and being unobtrusive. They are receiving an A-1 experience in the fine art of owning a topnotch restaurant. From beginning to end, thank you for making my friend's birthday one she thoroughly enjoyed. I'm SO glad we went. Reservations are going to be a must here, and better make them well ahead of time if you want them for a special occasion. Thank you, Bourbon & Fig for a spectacular dinner.

I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

The Spot at Belmont Bay is officially our new brunch problem!!!…read more We went to The Spot at Belmont Bay this past Sunday for brunch, and I'm just going to say it: this is the best brunch in the area. Not "pretty good for Woodbridge." Not "solid little neighborhood spot." I mean clear-your-calendar-because-you're-going-back good. We ordered the Breakfast Board for Two, and it was exactly what brunch should be: generous, fun, shareable, and absolutely loaded. Eggs, bacon, house-made sausage, smashed potatoes, Belgian waffles, biscuit, gravy (so good), fresh fruit, Greek parfait, and pastries of the day all showed up on one board like brunch had assembled the Avengers. And here's what makes it even better: everything is made from scratch. You can taste it. Even the sausage is made in-house, which explains why it stood out so much. The smashed potatoes were seasoned beautifully, the scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon had that perfect crispy edge, and the waffles were golden with just enough crunch. The biscuit was soft and buttery, and the cinnamon roll situation on the side had absolutely zero interest in helping anyone make responsible decisions. Respect. But the absolute star of the show was the spicy Bloody Mary. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Full stop. It had real zip, great spice, and that pickle salt rim took it completely over the top. Salty, briny, spicy, savory, it hit every note. Add the crispy bacon and lemon garnish = forget about it!! The drink menu is no joke either. They've got mimosa carafes, mimosa flights, sangria, margarita flights, brunch cocktails, dirty sodas, coffee drinks - basically, The Spot looked at brunch beverages and said, "Yes. All of it." We also had a mimosa, and it was bright, fresh, and exactly what you want sitting next to a big brunch board. We also had the chance to meet the owners, and they were fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're building. That makes such a difference. You can tell when a place has real people behind it who care about the food, the service, and the vibe. The Spot absolutely has that. I liked it so much that I'm already going back for their bourbon tasting Saturday night, and then again for their Father's Day brunch on Sunday. Great food, great drinks, great owners, great atmosphere, and scratch-made brunch that actually delivers. The Spot at Belmont Bay is a winner. This is definitely an old school Italian place, with dark wood furniture and oversized pasta portions (no complaints from me on that!). The pasta is always cooked exactly right (it's really hard to do pappardelle right as it's such a big noodle and can easily become a wet mess that tears apart on your fork, but each noodle here stayed together and didn't break apart), and the sauces are distinct and flavorful. From the standard sauces like alfredo, to the unique like a lamb ragout, they have deep flavor that keeps you eating until your stomach says no. The waiter was friendly and attentive, engaging my kids as much as me. We also went with the bruschetta, which was tasty (particularly the mozzarella) but I wish had at least one more slice of bread to serve as an appetizer for four. I wasn't overly impressed with the mixed drinks, but I didn't go there for that either.

We've made reservations each time, usually for a weekday evening but it never seems too busy. Service is always pretty decent and they're friendly and attentive. I've liked everything I've gotten so far (their wings are delicious and worth the wait). I've only gotten 2 items out of the 3 or 4 times that I've been here that I wasn't a fan off. The Caesar Salad with Salmon (Salmon was cooked nicely but there was just something about the salad that didn't taste right) and their Nautical Gnocchi (a little too salty for my taste). Otherwise, everything was great. It is nice to sit by the water and it is more on the casual side.

We also tried the crab cake sandwich and French onion soup (also yummy). The ambiance is wonderful with French music playing and a darling patio. The service could improve a little, but I think that was an issue of being understaffed because I could tell he was trying very hard. This a great spot for a leisurely afternoon!

Deliciousness - 4/5 Happiness - 5/5…read more I love Belgian beer, and Cock and Bowl is my favorite place to nab some of this great nectar. This place keeps the Belgian brews stocked across the spectrum. From fruity Lambics to Tripels (my personal fave) and Quadrupels, pales to darks. There's a lot to explore here. The food is pretty good too. The frites (fries) are excellent and pair well with the beer. They are thick without veering into steak fry territory, nicely crunchy, and packed with a pleasing amount of salt (and I believe a hint of vinegar). The waffles are also a standout, typically topped with light and airy cream. The merguez lamb sausage is also hearty and delicious. I wish the building itself was larger. There's only a few tables, meaning you may be in for a wait if you go during the colder months. And I recently had the chocolate mousse and didn't care for it. It was much more akin to pudding, and there wasn't a deep enough chocolate flavor to contrast with the whipped cream. There's no better place I've found in Occoquan to eat, drink, and be merry. I highly recommend you stop here when you visit.
