This specific location has changed a few times and this time the place has stayed the same for quite some time so I was curious if it's any good. I parked in the back with plenty of shade and there's plenty of parking in the adjacent plaza but quite a walk to the restaurant entrance. Even with the reviews I don't usually order seafood anyways so I ordered my favorite dishes which I usually would get such as the birria plate and carne asada fries (not spicy). I also ordered a kids meal of chicken nuggets and fries with a small Diet Coke. Unfortunately no refills allowed, so good thing I also ordered a large Diet Coke just in case. The food was ready fairly timely, the kids meal gas 8 nuggets and plenty of fries. My kid loves eating it with a ton of ketchup which each table has an assortment of hot sauce bottles and a bottle of ketchup. The carbs asada fries came in a round plastic plate, it's smaller than what other places serve but it could be because it's a dine in order and not in the take out box. The fries were chunky ones and the beans made it soggy fast. The carne asada were small, a little chewy and hard. The cheese was white so I couldn't tell the difference between it and sour cream, so it looked like you didn't get any cheese but it's there! The birria plate was on a reusable plate and side of warmed corn tortillas, with rice and beans. Rice is ok, a bit hard but still good. Beans were a bit too watery but not bad on flavor. Birria was ok as well, not spicy but tastes good with the pickled onions from the self serve counter. I ate the plate of food with lots of the pickled onions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom is for customers only, you need to ask for the key and they have two unisex restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I don't think I'll come back. They still have a bogo fish taco on Tuesdays. In this economy, the price is really good! If you're looking for cheap eats, go on Tuesday and Thursdays (bogo tacos with land meats like asada) I really appreciated the condiments bar which had: cilantro, limes, radishes, salsas. They have little baggies and sauce cups/lids for you. I got my order togo so By the time I ate it, it was very soggy. I thought the fish itself was seasoned decent. I will say there is a sauce in the taco they put already in there that has a hint of spice. So if you don't like any spice, definitely let them know. As promised I came back and tried the caldo de siete mares and it did not disappoint!! The broth was perfectly seasoned - not too spicy or salty. Very savory and not overly tomato-y. The seafood was generously served and I had bites of clams, pulpo, shrimp, fish, crab meat with equally generous sautéed vegetables (tomato, onion, bell pepper, carrots). We passed by this Tacos Ensenada location after our adventure to see the fire station and small airport. Because of the pandemic, we opted to get takeout to bring home. If you're adventurous, they do have some outdoor seating. The process to order inside was quick and it didn't take long at all for the order to be ready. When I got the change back I looked at it and I was fairly certain that the change was to be $11.75 but I was only given two five dollar bills and 3 quarters.
