I recently DoorDashed from this location and ordered a breaded shrimp burrito. It was obvious the shrimp had been cooked previously and then refried for my order. They were extremely rubbery, and many of the ends were so burnt they weren't even edible. I order this same burrito from other locations fairly often and have never had this experience before. To make matters worse, after DoorDash fees, my burrito, yellow peppers, and salsa came to well over $30. Unfortunately, it felt like a complete waste of money. Very disappointing. read more

Ordered over $150 worth of food for a family thing ahead of time on Grubhub. Ordered 12 chicken tacos which were over $5 each (with a lot of other food) and received 12 asada tacos (see order pic). Ok, family members have dietary restrictions and were starving but mistakes happen. Wasn't going to leave a review except for what then happened. 1) called and the guy checked our Grubhub receipt and acknowledged they made a mistake, but offered no apologies. 2) he said to just go through Grubhub for a refund, but didn't want to get them in trouble, were starving and just wanted the tacos. Offered to go pick up the right ones (even though we paid the delivery and tips fees (still no apology). 3) asked us to bring back the asada ones they sent us incorrectly, as proof?? Fine, couldn't eat them anyway (didn't take pic of the wrong order cause thought being nice over their mistake would be enough! 4) Brought back the $54 worth of tacos and saw the employees arguing with the dude I called about how they weren't wrong (again see order pic). 5) when I called to ask them to tell them about the mistake I added that there should have also been another bean and cheese burrito but noticed that this looked like a Grubhub mistake. But could they please add one to the mistaken order. Didn't demand a free one. But when we got there (with the arguing employees) they were like, oh, and you HAVE TO PAY for the bean burrito. Ok, bro, fine. Not looking for a freebie (though most other places would have given us AT LEAST a discount for all the pain in a** we went through). Rather than the attitude. 6) You know what, if in the end the food was good, and not way overpriced for the portions (see rice pic, that I paid over $3 for) we might not even be here. Cause I don't like leaving bad reviews. Except, holy bland Batman. Everyone was disappointed. Even forgot to add cheese to my own burrito. I haven't been to this location in years and let me tell you I won't be coming back after today. The quality was terrible. We ordered two breaded shrimp tacos, one fish taco, one potato taco and carne asada fries. Seemed like they served us old food! The tortillas weren't even all the way warmed up. One of the shrimp tacos had one breaded shrimp and a piece of breaded fish that wasn't even fully cooked. The potato tacos had hard clumps of potato coming out that looked like a rock and looked old and not fully cooked. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service. Always on Wednesday for the fish taco special but they raised the price again to an outrageous level and I just don't see the value in a Wednesday special when it costs $15 bucks for a drink and 3 tacos now. Raising the taco price .50 each is just greedy. Min wage did go up but that price increase is sneaking in extra profit at the cost of my wallet so I do not go there anymore. read more

" I was only going to get one potato taco and one fish taco, but I think the cashier misheard me,or just decided to place a better order,because I ended up receiving the two potato taco combo for $5.The single fish taco came to a little over $4. The concept is open kitchen so you can see the cooks making your meal. It came out fast but the fish taco was cold. I still ate it because I was on a time crunch, but I wish it was hot or even warm .The potato in the tacos was mashed and the shell was a corn shell that was fried. I was a little surprised by that, but it worked. When you order the combo you're able to order a fountain drink for a dollar so I ended up adding lemonade. I came here for a quick lunch with low expectations. The food was fairly decent but not really worth it in my opinion. There are way better fish taco joints and some are better while simultaneously being cheaper. If you plan on coming, make use of the taco Tuesday deal which includes meat based tacos, or the Wednesday fish taco deal. I came for fish tacos but picked the wrong day. No biggie, they're still fairly affordable at $4 a taco. They tasted pretty good but nothing special in the world of fish tacos. I also decided to try the nachos since a small is only $5. Unfortunately, I assume there was a language barrier issue because I asked for no meat and they came out with beef. Love their fish tacos here! Big chunks of swai, battered and fried Baja style or grilled, they are addictive. $3.99 ea, or $3 on Wednesdays. They top them with lettuce, tomato, and the traditional mayonnaise dressing, plus give you little cups of picante red and green salsas made in-house. I have also tried their grilled shrimp tacos. Good, but the fish tacos are what have won my heart. I brought home a small container of ceviche made from Krab (crab flavored fish) that was decent, too. The "small" order made me two meals. The churros ($2 ea or $5 for 3) are made to order, so crisp and warm, not kept under a heat lamp where they end up tough. Delicious! Such a decadent treat that brings back happy memories of the first, yard long ones I ate in Tijuana from a street vendor some 40 years ago. These are just as good, just smaller and missing the authentic olefactory ambiance. These have a cajeta (caramelized condensed milk) filling that oozes out when you bite into those crisp, cinnamony sugar-coated temptations. I've only been here once before, but decided they beat the competition for this area, so well worth a slight drive, 10 miles?, for us. So happy to have found them! read more

I love La Bufadora. I work around the corner and am in here quite often. Work orders take out all of the time. The potatoes tacos and battered fish tacos are incredible. They also have great salsa. I wish they had a liquor license to serve margaritas but sadly they mainly offer beer. If they had a full bar, I would be here at least once a week. They recently renovated the inside so it is so pretty. There are booths running along the side of one wall with tables in the middle. You place your order from the counter and your name is yelled when your food is ready. If you are in the neighborhood and love Mexican food, try this place out. read more

I was very put off by the smell in this establishment. A restaurant should smell like the stuff they're cooking but unfortunately this place smells like bad plumbing. Gross. Service was just OK as it didn't feel welcoming. The food was good. I got a grilled fish taco and a grilled shrimp taco. They were served with portioned and sealed salsas as their salsa bar seems to be closed. My kid liked her carnitas burrito, and the other kid liked their potato tacos but they were The Tiniest potato tacos ever. Came in here with my husband for brunch . I got two tostadas de Asada and he got a torta . Right from the beginning the cashier/server had an attitude with us . When I walked towards what used to be the salsa bar (which for COVID reasons is no longer there which I didn't know ) I had ask the cashier for chilis and salsa and she said with an attitude tone you will get it with your order . I use to love coming here but my last two experiences have been disappointing and tonight was the cherry on the top. I stopped to pick up dinner, ordered my food to go and waited like I normally would. First they prepared my food as if I was dining in. When I told the lady it was to go she started yelling at the cashier who took my order. I told the lady look just box up my order because I have to go. Food is really good. The only thing I had an issue was the lady at the front claudia. I called to place an order and as I was telling her what I wanted and asking her what was in it. She sounded confused, like if she didn't understand what I was saying, so she decided to hang up on me. I showed up in person, placed my order and asked her if she hugged up on me or did we loose connection. She said she was sorry she was busy. This is very unprofessional of her. Granted,... there are probably a hundred Mexican restaurants in the area. Having not tried all of them, I can only tell you about LBBG. This is a typical fast-casual dining experience; order and pay, then find a seat. After perusing the menu, I settled on the surf and turf burrito. Let me tell you that although it looks compact, it packs a mean punch. The burrito is filled with shrimp and carne asada. It's filled with your typical burrito fillings. Then, they have salsas (red and green) that you can use to enjoy the burrito. It took me a while to eat through this burrito. There was plenty of meat in each bite. It also filled me up for hours. Next, the flavors (when throwing in the salsas) were "delicioso." Chiming in at about $12, it was a reasonable price for what you got. I can highly recommend the surf and turf burrito. Those in my party that got the fish tacos were also equally happy with their choice. All in all, LBBG is a good choice for Mexican food in the deep IE. Be sure to give them a try. read more
