Cute shop with loads of fresh baked goods, I'm grabbed vanilla and pistachio cake. To OK this cakes were delicious. I tried the pistachio and vanilla cake. My children love them. They were extremely moist and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Customer Service was great. I really appreciate my friends at this location although it was a pop in. TRUFFLES TRUFFLES TRUFFLES... We saw this storefront that said La Cake. Well, anything that says the word Cake I have to try it. Not sure what to expect but we were surely anticipating a sweet encounter. We walk inside and see the glass display case of goodies (vanilla and chocolate cakes, truffles and cheese bread). Behind the glass display was an entire open view professional bakery with dough mixers and ovens. The smell of this shop was pure bliss and possibly ten pounds on the hips. The manager, Chris, greeted us immediately and began conversing with us about his shop. The genius behind the scenes was the owner, Giselle, who popped out her head from near the ovens and said hello. We tried the cheese bread and three truffles - strawberry, coconut and chocolate. The bread was warm, soft and gooey inside - simply delish. The magical treat was definitely the strawberry truffle - as I took a bite I couldnt stop smiling and savored the crazy sweetness on the back of my tongue. Just super friendly husband and wife team and great treats. Cafe style outside patio table and five tables inside with a classy comfortable padded bench and chairs. I had a friend order me a cake, it was the golf cake. She paid a good amount of money. I am deathly allergic to dairy products. The second time she called she specified that I was as allergic to dairy. Butter is no problem and eggs are not dairy. I had a severe allergic reaction and I their cake and they used ChatGPT to respond. Very unprofessional, cake tasted very dry and not good. Never received a call to apologize or if there was anything they could do. Only to read the terms and conditions that were located under one cake. Not sure if why this place has a high review, but they don't speak a lick of English and that's why they use chat GPT to Communicate with you. Thanks La Cake!! Appreciate your help and understanding. This is a gem!!!! Absolutely beautiful interior, and the desserts were all 10/10. I got a few different options because how could you not!!! My 3 year old claimed the Oreo chocolate cake as her own and refused to share. Thankfully I got a taste first and it was amazing. The pistachio cake was outstanding. The carrot cake with brigadero filling was so amazing. Definitely buy the passion fruit mousse. It was sweet and tart but perfectly balanced and flavorful. I went in simply because they are close to where we were holding our mom's 90th Birthday Party and Luau, which was a blast in itself. But, rather than just getting a "sheet cake" from Publix or Costco, I wanted to find out what a professional bakery could do creatively AND still taste great. I met Giselle. She and her husband are the owners. Giselle introduced herself and together, we brain-stormed and came up with lots of options to tie in the Hawaiian themed, (eventual) 2-tiered cake with brilliantly-colored, beautiful Hawaiian flowers on the outside. I brought along a picture of my mom as a 20-something on the beach and asked if she could add the pic to the cake (NO PROBLEM!!)--OK...How about adding a Hawaiian lei around her neck...AGAIN, NO PROBLEM!! Can it be delivered....OF COURSE!! Suffice to say, the cake was absolutely stunning AND SO DELICIOUS. I was in Florida for a short stay, and wanted a quick cup of coffee. I stopped by La Cake and was greeted by a a very tidy interior and very friendly staff. The lady who took my order was outgoing and happily offered recommendations when I was indecisive. I tried one of the savory waffles which was warm, chewy and salty. The expresso was dark, bold, and delicious. The music in the background isn't too loud, and the ambience is relaxed. They did not mind I hung out and took my sweet time to eat. If I had more time I'd have stayed to try every cake on the shelf! Please consider stopping by. Yum! I stumbled upon La Cake Cafe on my way to fish peddler (next door). This place is a gem! I got the passionfruit mousse and Brazilian cheese bread. Both were fantastic! There are many options to pick from and single serving sizes making it the perfect place to get a sweet treat for after dinner. This was my first time trying the Brazilian cheese bread and wow it was so good! Crispy on the outside and goey on the inside, very delicious. The passion fruit mousse was amazing as well.
