I was excited to try it since I hadn't been back to this location since it was Tu Madres, which I was a big fan of. The menu looked promising, and having live entertainment was definitely a major plus. Unfortunately, our overall experience was a bit underwhelming. We made a 6:45 p.m. reservation through OpenTable and requested a high-top table. We ended up being seated at a standard four-top next to the restroom. While it wasn't our preference, the restaurant was busy, and I completely understand that it's not always possible to accommodate every seating request. One thing that was disappointing was the beer selection. The menu advertises craft beer, but under the "Craft & Canned" section it mostly listed domestic staples like Coors Light and Michelob Ultra. There were only a few craft options on draft, and unfortunately the ones our group tried weren't particularly enjoyable. The guys ended up leaving them unfinished and ordering cocktails instead. We ordered the French 760, which unfortunately missed the mark as well. It was overly sweet, and the sugar rim melted down the glass, leaving the stem sticky and messy to hold. The appetizers were actually one of the highlights of the meal. Both the fried artichoke bites and the fried cauliflower were flavorful and well prepared. Service is where the evening started to unravel a bit. After our appetizers arrived, our server didn't return for about 25 minutes. When he finally came back, he asked if we were ready for the check. We had to remind him that we were still waiting to order our entrees. Once we placed our order, the food arrived quickly. Of the entrées, the Steak Frites was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. Unfortunately, both the Pasta Pesto and the Pasta Vodka were disappointing. The penne was overcooked, and both sauces were very bland and lacked the flavor we were expecting. The true highlight of our visit was the live entertainment. This was our first time hearing Jessica Michelle perform, and she was phenomenal. While playing the keyboard, she effortlessly covered country favorites spanning multiple generations. Her voice was absolutely beautiful, and she created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be keeping an eye out for her future performances. We're not writing off The Local on 50th. I spent over 20 years working in the restaurant industry, from family-style restaurants to fine dining, and one thing I learned is that every restaurant can have an off night. It happens. There was enough potential here that we'd be willing to give it another try and hope our next experience better reflects what this restaurant is capable of.

The place was relatively quiet with several people enjoying themselves at the bar. We opted to sit in the comfy lounge chairs overlooking the breathtaking scenery of mountains and blue skies. We had eaten dinner earlier in the casino and since I had a sweet craving, I ordered an Espresso Martini. It definitely satisfied my craving. It was a TREAT! The bartender informed us that live music is showcased on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. We decided to return to Thursday Night Rock Show featuring HWY 111. We actually met vocalist Niki Bente in the elevator on our way to Twelve! She was very friendly and personable. Niki Bente also preforms with Twisted Gypsy whom we had the pleasure of seeing at the Rock Yard on Saturday night. Rocking Show!!! HWY 111 was very entertaining as I danced the night away! The place was lively, filled with people having a great time. It proved to be a wonderful experience! I thoroughly enjoyed two different specialty cocktails from the menu. The bartenders are attentive and offer a choice of complimentary almonds with or without salt. Whether you're looking for a quieter place to enjoy a cocktail or two and take in the beautiful views or you prefer to Rock Out with live music, Twelve is the place to choose! I will definitely return to Twelve when I visit California in the future!

Wine bar doesn't open till 5 which was when happy hour started. For the first hour, they had wine, well drinks and draft beer. A few small plates also offered. It's a wine and tapas bar. It's along El Paseo before you hit the main shopping area, depending on which way you come. Entrance has a nice wall created by ficus trees and mister spraying to keep you cool. There's a decent patio with a good amount of seating. Inside is where the party is. The place is set with two seating area. Right when you walk in is the bar. A good amount of hi top seating and tables. Hi top seating that are along the window were actually very uncomfortable. Padded seats were so narrow that seating was so uncomfortable but oh well. There's the other room seating area which houses all the wine on shelves. I believe it's also a wine store but that sectioned was closed for a private event. We just wanted a drink before dinner so no food was had. From the looks of the dishes that were coming out, they looked really nice. Tapas style dishes made for sharing. With happy hour, there was a couple dishes that was included. Also they offered a deal with a charcuterie board and a bottle included. We just went with a glass of their house red and white. And an order of spicy margaritas. It's a full bar so that was nice. Margaritas were great and house wine was decent. The service was great with the bartender who was a doll and very sweet. Made drinks and still had time to come check out on people. It was still early but it did pick up for happy hour which is from 5-6 right when they open. The place was quite nice and well decorated. Beautiful wine bar that's great for mingling with friends over food drinks and tapas. Will definitely be back for some food.

They had some fairly steady stream of customers, some were regulars and some were first-timers like me. Next time I will try one of the salads which I saw and it looked amazing. I have a feeling they will need to be expanding if the word gets out on how wonderful everything is. I added it to my list of stops whenever I am at my vacation place in Indian Wells. The wine selection rotates often, and I always ask for a recommendation. Never once been disappointed. The cocktails are excellent too, and it's clear the martinis are a specialty and very popular. And don't get me started on the bar food. There are so many good options it's hard to choose -- the flatbreads, the bacon-wrapped dates (a local favorite done to perfection), the meatballs, the charcuterie, and so many more... it all pairs so well with the drinks. More than once we've cancelled our dinner plans because we filled up on all the goodies here. This has become our regular spot to catch up with friends, and the community feel is hard to beat. And, we love supporting local small business! Can't recommend it enough.
