Uncorked on State is an unassuming fancier little restaurant at the edge of Downtown Redlands. For you amex platinum enthusiasts, this is a Resy restaurant if you have credits to burn. Appetizers are the move here. Bruschetta Shrimp burrata, quite nice and unique without being too outlandish. It has the refreshment of bruschetta burrata but with shrimp. Smoked salmon tartine is pretty self explanatory. Flavor profile is all there without being too strong from the smoked salmon taste. Porcini mushroom pizza is a nice small mushroom pizza to snack on while you wait on other food. Bacon wrapped figs were decent too although the sauce was probably the best part about it. Our main entree was a Red pepper pasta filet mignon, which frankly was a little flat. The filet mignon wasn't too tender or flavorful frankly and the pasta sauce was a little lackluster as well. But for filler, it does the job. So like i said, appetizers are the move here, pair them with a wine to maximize your experience here (if your wallet is willing), otherwise, the place does run a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area. read more

I had a really nice evening/dinner at Uncorked on State. Used the Resy/AMEX deal, no issues. We were seated at an intimate table away from the crowds/noise which I really appreciated. I didn't try any wines. But I enjoyed their chicken entree. I also shared some of my husband's filet mignon which was equally delicious. Also the pear cheesecake... DELICIOUS! Overall, the food was good, above average but lacking the wow factor. Mushroom Tartine, Bacon Wrapped asparagus and French Fries were enjoyed as appetizers. I'm a French Fry connoisseur and these were top notch, Hot, crisp and flavorful almost perfect. Wish they had another dipping sauce or two to chance up the flavor. Mushroom Tartine was good, as was the bacon wrapped asparagus. The red pepper pasta with chicken as an add on was the main course. Pretty good red pepper flavor but the sauce lacked some seasoning for depth. The chicken was cooked well, but also lacked seasoning. For $38, the main was a little small and underwhelming in the flavor department. Finished up with the wine poached pear cheesecake. Overall it was good, but there was only a few tiny sliver of pear on the plate. Go for the service and atmosphere, the apps shined brighter than the entree. read more

Been trying to go to more local places and saw this place has good reviews. I have a friend who is really into wine so we decided to give this place a try. The restaurant is easy to locate, with street parking. It's a cozy romantic place being that theres dim lighting, burned candles and of course wine. Everything we ordered was seasoned to perfection. Unfortunately not cooked to perfection. We had a few filet mignon that were over cooked. Once brought to the staffs attention I felt the situation wasn't handled tastefully. Regardless of the situation, we made due and enjoyed ourselves anyways. The filet mignon was tasteful, even better when paired with a bit of aioli. Fries were crispy and thickly sliced. The pasta was flavorful and the mocha crème brûlée though lighter in texture made up for everything in flavor. We ended up sharing a bottle of sauvignon blanc that went really well with our meal. As for appetizers, we had that night's special focaccia with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette, crab and spinach dip, and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were definitely a crowd pleaser. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list, but I do wish they were a bit more attentive. Even though I didn't like the way our situation was handled, it's not enough to get me not to come back. I would like to come back and try other food items. Let me just say it is a very small place and kinda felt like a local wine connoisseur space. We then sat at our booth/table. We ordered the appetizers calamari and the artichoke something. Both were absolutely delicious!! We then ordered scallops, duck, steak and the burgers. The scallops were good, the steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were delicious! I was told the duck was average and our burgers were over cooked. Overall, this place still gets a 4 star because it was received well by my family, my sister liked the wine and the food was overall good! Uncorked just started seating tonight, 2.23.23. They have worked hard to transform this location into a cute and cozy environment for a safe haven to relax and unwind with those that you care about. Currently, they offer only seating for the dinner and evening hours, downtown parking shouldn't be an issue. This is their soft opening, while they are dialing in the details, they are doing very well. While wine taste is unique to each person, they offer something for everyone. While they are listed as a wine bar, they also offer beer but no hard liquor. We started with the Cast Iron Raclette Fondue. It had all the elements that we loved of the traditionally severed Raclette: baby potatoes, salami, baked garlic, artichoke hearts and, of course, ample Raclette cheese. The flavors melded well. We followed this up with the Grilled Fig Salad. It was a great combination of grilled figs and walnuts - just super. The greens were fresh and the cheese offered a great counter balance to the vinaigrette dressing. For our taste, next time we'd ask for the dressing on the side. We ended with the Braised Short Rib a la Bourguignonne. It was a great piece of meat on top of a bed of truffle polenta. It was hard to tell which which had more flavor, the boneless Short Rib or the truffle polenta! read more

For the price the food wasn't up to par. The tomatoes sauce in my pasta felt undercooked. It felt like I was ready just bland tomato sauce and noodles. Seeing other people's Caesar salad portions online and what we received, do not compare. Also the waitress felt very forced to smile at us. I had been looking forward to trying the food here based on good reviews. My husband and I are here tonight and we're really disappointed. We both ordered Cesar salad and the filet mignon. The salad was fine and the sides for the filet were decent but the filet mignon itself was terrible. Both of ours were very dry, tough and had no flavor. He kept his but didn't eat it. I sent mine back as it was overcooked. The second one was just as dry and tough as the first but very salty. We eat steak a lot and I am always looking for new places to go but this place is on our do not return list. Probably the most frustrating was that they didn't even remove the steak from the bill or offer a discount for it so we paid full price for bad food. The service was ok but it was hard to get drink refills. The ambience is lovely but it doesn't make up for the low quality steak. We ended up going down the street to eat pizza since neither of us ended up eating it. Overall this left us with a bad impression and I would not recommend it. read more

Went for Sunday brunch. This is a cute spot with welcoming decor. We shared the sun dried tomato Benedict and Cinnamon Fig pancakes. The Benedict comes with two poached eggs on two flaky biscuits. The hollandaise was flavorful and with a slight tangy kick. This came with roasted potatoes. The pancakes were fluffy seasoned with cinnamon and served with whipped butter, fresh figs and strawberries, and doused with maple syrup. Delicious but would be better to serve the syrup on the side. I was at a special event here today. They normally are not open at the time but my mother in law is a regular customer so they said they would do the event. The owners could not have been nicer. The staff was very considerate and polite. The food I had was amazing. I wanted some salt but that is a me thing not a cooking thing. The family had as good of a time considering it was basically a funeral service. Beautiful space, small but comforting. I really can't thank them enough for doing this for my family. My friend and I decided to try this new restaurant for our Christmas dinner. I will say the food was good, but the service was not. We didn't feel we received the same type of customer service as everyone else in the restaurant the waitress she seemed bothered when we would ask for something. We also liked that we were able to use our inKind app so we used it to pay our bill. We sat there and talked for a little bit opened our gifts. We got up and we're walking out and the waitress stops us and says did you guys leave cash on the table and it wasn't whispered so it was a little bit embarrassing she could've approached it in a different manner I'm sure in the system you can see that the bills were both closed and paid so we will not be returning and will not recommend this restaurant. They need to improve on customer service. The food is a bit pricey, but I think if the Customer Service would have compensated that part of it it wouldn't have really mattered so so I decided to take the time to write this review did not appreciate the waitress bad customer service. read more

We came in to Saturday evening with no reservation without a lot of hope of being seated, to our surprise they found us a table and we were treated to some amazing bottles of tooth and nail wine and honestly no lie, the best and largest charcuterie board I have had in years. Today was an amazing private wine tasting ticketed event that featured a beautiful grazing table, dessert, and 12 lovely wines to sample. Chef Sam, as always, created delicious food that paired perfectly with the offered wines.
