Our server was kind. The food was okay. I ordered the quesadillas with chicken, very dry.

Recently tried La Calle on an overnight to Baltimore. Would come back next time I'm in Baltimore. We even debated on going back for brunch the next day and I wish we had haha. Def give it a try when you have the chance

This is one of those spots where you end up over eating because everything is soo good! I came in for a drink and maybe an appetizer or dessert. I was blown away by the empanada del dia! The fresh cheese on top and tender juicy filling reminded me of something you would be getting in a Spanish country. I don't like churros normally but these were fresh. They were not covered in an excessive amount of sugar and had just the right amount of salt. The melted chocolate was smooth and warm. The mascarpone was a beautiful touch for perfection. I was already full when I came in. The churros I ordered to go did not make it home! I also enjoyed the margarita but I don't recall which one. Service at the bar was lovely. The restaurant is a bit loud. An unexpected delight and I can't wait to get back

A great first experience here. The service was friendly and food and drinks were top notch. The interior is spacious with minimal decor. It's very simple but really nice looking inside. We started off with drinks, a tequila drink for my dining partner and the Strawberry Margarita for me. My margarita was well balanced and tasted delicious. We placed two appetizers to share - Queso Fundido with Chorizo and Ceviche de Camaron (shrimp). The queso fundido came with 3 sauces which were all great. The ceviche was well presented and had a light kick to it. We really enjoyed the apps. For our main, we both ordered tacos. I got the Carnitas de Pato Tacos (duck confit) and my friend got Camaron Frito Tacos (crispy shrimp). They looked delicious and tasted even better. The duck confit tacos had plenty of duck and was so flavorful. I tried my friend's shrimp taco which was also great. Will definitely be back soon!

The food: 8/10 Barbacoa de Cordero -- 10/10: Knockout good! The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender and well-seasoned. We finished the whole dish without even using the corn tortillas. Pork Costillitas -- 9/10: Very flavorful and juicy. I loved the yuca fries--starchy, hearty, and a touch sticky, with a rich texture that really complemented the dish. Ceviche del Día -- 7.8/10: The tuna was succulent and the overall flavor was well-balanced. If you like ceviche, this is a solid pick. We also tried Aguachile de la Pasión. It was fresh, but the seasoning skewed too sour for both me and my friend. The flan was delicious as well, just not as distinctive as the standouts above. Environment & Service The space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed--great for dates or a family feast. We did take off a few points for slow service; we had to call servers multiple times for the dessert menu and the check.

I came for restaurant week where they offered 3 courses for $45. The ceviche and steak were so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The service was pretty fast and the ambiance was enjoyable.

Cute Mexican spot for dinner! Wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday night but we made a reservation for three anyway. The food was decent but the elote and the green enchilada sauce was my favorite. The chicken enchiladas were good but I feel like the meat tasted better the next day after the flavors had time to sink in. The service was quick and nice . I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

La Calle is located in Fells so parking can be tricky but that means the outdoor seating is great to people watch and enjoy some yummy Mexican food. We did opt to sit inside which is just as cute and well decorated. Overall, the food is excellent but our waiter did forget a few things (I'm realizing now I never got my guac so I have no idea if La Calle does a good guac or not). Also, the bathrooms are unisex (they were clean enough but just not my preference). Queso Fundido with Chorizo: I was expecting gooey cheese but it was MELTED cheese. Also it was served with warmed tortillas and not chips Chicken empanadas: yummy, crispy, fan favorite, came with a sauce with a little bit of heat to it Chicken enchiladas: solid choice, drenched in mole sauce which was yummy Tacos: short rib was flavorful but a little dry, same for the chorizo, pork belly was the best and my favorite Guava Marg: didn't taste much guava but still a yummy drink Churros: 10/10, no notes Sauces and salsas: I'm a sauce girl and these were delicious

Good bar service. Pretty ambiance and decor. Was torn between fish or shrimp tacos. Got both which have identical fixings! Fish was better. Both were good. Elotes were piping hot and delicious with all the mouth puckering spices. Bartender was chill and gave us attentive service. Cocktails & mocktails were good. I recommend the guava margarita. Tres leches had a unique sour (passion fruit I think?) twist and was delicious. If you're not a fan of sour, I would skip on that one but I liked it! Will definitely go again when in the area to try other dishes!!

Calle is a great spot for happy hour! If you're looking for solid drinks and bites at affordable prices, this is a place worth checking out. Most happy hour items are between $7 and $10, which is a win. We started with the nachitos --a flavorful snack that paired perfectly with their smoked chili oil and green chile salsa. Definitely a standout! The nachos had great flavor too, but like many places, the bottom layer was missing the beans and cheese, so I didn't end up finishing the whole plate. Still, for the price, not bad at all. My friend got the agua chiles and enjoyed it! Said it was very flavorful. I'm not a raw fish eater, but I did try it and it was actually pretty good. The sangria was a highlight--strong yet refreshing. We also enjoyed the grapefruit Paloma, which was well balanced and citrusy. The bartending staff were super friendly and didn't rush us, even though we arrived just 10 minutes before happy hour ended. The ambiance was cool, clean, and chill--not too loud or crowded. Plus, if you speak Spanish, it's a great spot to practice while you sip and snack. I'd definitely come back for another round!

YES!!!!! my friend and i LOVE this place, whenever she comes to visit, this is where we go! we went on her birthday this year and the server was amazing. we always have to get the pork belly tacos and the spicy pineapple margs! i love the inside of the place and sitting at the bar

I have gone to LaCalle for dinner, brunch and happy hour and they have always been amazing. It is owned by two brothers and they are always there serving customers. The space is beautiful and the have a few seats outside during the spring and summer. The ceviche of the day is a must have. It is always a work of art and delicious. My current favorite dish is the pork belly tacos. Brunch is very affordable (no ceviche of the day though). My favorite thing is the pork belly hash (it might not be called that). Needless to say the pork belly here is a mazing. My mom didn't think she liked pork belly, but I brought her to La Calle and now I always have to get her these tacos. The drinks are also amazing. My mom couldn't decide on a drink and Byron the bartender made a peach drink that we are calling the Ms. Jeri. I clearly love La Calle.

Parking is difficult as it is only street parking with no parking lot and limited street parking as it is. We were there early and even then it was hard to get a table at 5:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. We got a table in one of the rooms off to the side and though it was loud you could hear yourself talk with the people in your party. Since it was during happy hour we were able to get drinks at a slightly reduced price and I had the cilantro honey Margarita which was outstanding. Our friend got a Paloma and another friend had just a regular margarita. They were different in color and taste but were really good. We started out with guacamole and chips and the guac was delicious. We were charged for chips and addition and I would have thought that if we were ordering guacamole that the chips would have come with it but it did not, it was an extra charge. For our main entrees, I ordered a ceviche with shrimp, octopus, and sea bass and it didn't come as I'm used to as there was a container of white sauce in the middle which was good I just didn't pour it all over the ceviche and dipped in instead. The ceviche was really good and very filling and meal in itself. The others in the party got tacos and a burrito and both looked amazing. I was still hungry enough to have dessert and I had a Choco Taco which was good though on the small side and it looked like it just came out of the freezer and didn't have to be made. My friend ordered the flan and she's gluten free and it looked delicious and tasted delicious but it took a while to prepare. Just so you are aware, they add 20% on to your check regardless of the party size. That's fine as that's what I would have given anyway. All in all for the food that we had it was reasonably priced. I didn't see anything outrageously priced in their menu and I highly recommend Clavel and I will be back in the future.

Their salsa is warm (temperature, not spice) because of the way it is prepared. We've had the fundito before but I prefer not to get that because it is too filling! We went for HH to get their delicious margaritas on discount. The service is always great, bartenders are super nice. The bar area is not huge so get there early for a spot. Each taco is extremely fresh and I can tell that it was crafted meticulously in the kitchen. Be mindful that each taco is priced separately and you get a single taco ranging from $10.00 - 15.00. The guacamole is fresh and garnished with strawberries. Personally, I typically go for a spicier and more flavorful guac, but if you opt for a fresh and simple dish, then it certainly checks the box. The queso is thick, cheesy, and topped with peppers. I personally could appreciate a creamier queso, but I will say the dish looks and smells amazing. The oysters are rather small in size but they're extremely fresh and come topped with a jalapeño. My expectations for the drinks were a bit higher than what they delivered. Drinks tasted a bit watery and the flavor wasn't as potent (this says a lot for someone like myself who is pretty light weight). Service was fairly accommodating, however, keep in mind that they enforce a rule of having half of your party there prior to seating you. Also be mindful that their menu changes to dinner at 5:00PM, and seating at the outside bar may be closed depending on when you arrive. My favorite of all the dishes was the was the Al Pastor taco! I'd like to give this place another try because just based off of the aesthetic alone it has sooo much potential to be absolutely amazing!

The server helped us figure it out and we were set. I ordered the El pastor tacos, beans & rice, and tortilla chips. The tacos were theeee best! What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food.
