The place is a bit expensive but you are buying good quality proteins and side items. Their salsa are really good as well including their spicy ones so I recommend getting some before leaving. The only difference between this one and the one I used to go in Bellflower is that this one doesn't have a produce section. I will definitely come back to this one again. read more

This location is layout just like their La Puente store although I'm not sure if they are owned by the same person or is a franchise. Besides beef, seafood, chicken, and pork, the market offers everything you'll need for grilling outdoors, including charcoal, salsas, tortillas, and spices. They even off wagyu from Japan, Australia and tomahawk ribeye's. I've visited this location twice and have taken home USDA prime marinated carne asada and tried their chorizo sausages made specifically for grilling. The butchers and customer service gals here are friendly and accommodating. As for the quality of meats, I was impressed with the packaging, leanest, and the quality of all their proteins. They also offer yummy salsas that taste homemade. The prices are higher but in exchange you'll receive the top-quality cuts of meats and are superior to the grocery store chains. This along with the La Puente store is now my go-to stores for proteins when I'm going to grill. Definitely give them a try, you can thank me later. read more

I learned about this place from Instagram. So I decided to pop in and check it out. I'm glad I did, it's a carnivores dream store. The store is well lit, clean and has nice displays of product. To add, the customer service is also on point. Seeing all of wonderful meat products inspired me to cook. So that day I picked up 2 beautiful Tomahawk Steaks. One was Australian Wagyu, and the other was Prime. This allowed my family to do a side-by-side steak tasting. Let me put this way... it was so good, we knew we'd have to do it again. Fast forward to my second visit. The plan was for 2 Prime and 2 Wagyu Tomahawks. Unfortunately, they no longer have the Wagyu Tomahawk, because of low sales. No worries, we pivoted and purchased 4 Prime Tomahawks and 2 boneless Australian Ribeyes. Wiith the steaks we paired 2 magnums of wine, and wonderful sides. This family dinner was a hit. Tried the other local location for what has become my new favorite carnicería. It wasn't as busy as the pico rivera location but offered just as many delicious looking treats. We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice big tomahawk and some chorizo and these guys delivered. The carne ranchera preparada needs more seasoning. The meat is nice and tender but flavorless. I paid $16.99lb which would have been worth it if it was actually seasoned. Their salsa casera is delicious. Most likely I will only return for their salsa. read more

Ever since my family and I tried their meat at the 30th annual Downey street fair, I've been meaning to stop by and pick some up. I stopped by today and unfortunately did not have the best experience. Upon my arrival I took a look around and then headed over to line up to get some meat. After a while of waiting with no type of assistance I ask the man who was waiting next to me if I was in the right spot. He advised me I was and that he himself had not been helped and had been waiting for some time. After learning of such I left. What I don't understand is the place was full of employees but not one offered to help/acknowledge the gentleman or me. The place felt more like a hang out spot with no care for the customers. Safe to say that this place is not only amazing because of the time and effort they put to serving the citizens of Downey. I bought 5 pounds of ranchera steak, 3 pounds of tasajo prime and even 2 pounds of pork chops along with corn and flour tortillas. They threw in bonus salsas of verde and rojo for free, I had to ask for bags since I couldn't walk all the way back home but still, carrying 2 bags worth of meat but all of the trip was worth it as I cooked all of the 10 pounds in just a few hours.
