We've been coming to this carnicería for a long time and have always had good experiences, which is why this was so disappointing. We recently bought meat expecting the same quality we've always received, but this time it was noticeably lower quality than usual. Since this is on 4th of July my theory is they purchased cheaper meat due to the high demand. My guests ask where I get this meat so they will never buy from here. One of the reasons we've continued to support this business is because they normally have high standards, so this experience was unexpected. We hope this was just a one-time mistake and that they go back to the quality that made us loyal customers in the first place. I waited to write this review but since it is not the first nor second time this happens, I want them to know that their customer's know when they are being cheated. This is now the third time that they are selling produce with MOLD and they know they are because they strategically place them facing down so you don't realize until you get home. And the meat.. we were so impressed by the quality when they first opened but that was over really fast. They put one or two nice pieces of meat at the top and the rest of the meat is old. This last time did it for me when I paid $30!!! for 6 pcs of short ribs that were mostly fat, NOT MEAT. I am a local and told my neighbors about this place when it first opened, but I will be letting them know what they can expect now that their grand opening is over. read more

SUPER clean and well organized meat market! The prices were reasonable especially for the quality of meat. We got marinated short ribs, mango habanero chicken thighs, regular marinated chicken thighs and picanha. The service was stellar, they even threw in a piece of teriyaki chicken thigh, salsa and rub for the picanha. We grilled the meat ( everything besides picanha) and oh boy, the flavors were there! Tried out this carniceria for the first time. They had an Easter special tray of meats for $100 which included close to 10 lbs of prime grade asada and sliced beef ribs. Their house made chorizo looked great and they included free salsa and seasonings. Great service and clean place. I will be back. read more

Excellent service and great selection of meats. I stopped by there a few days ago. Got some very reasonably priced carne asada and chicken to throw on the grill. They recommend I try a piece of the tasajo cut and wow, what a flavorful cut. But all the other meats and chicken were just as good with excellent seasoning. Wonderful people, very clean place and luckily closed to home. Glad they sent out those flyers in the mail. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

I started going here to support a small business, I was thoroughly impressed with the taste and freshness of the sausage and the chicken. The prices are very reasonable. For the quality it is worth the price. The service is unmatched! The butcher is very patient and is very accommodating. I do speak Spanish, but the gentleman helped us in English so please if you do not speak Spanish do not feel intimidated. I highly recommend the carne ranchera ( flap meat) and their avocados. They'll happily cut your steak to a certain size. I recommend not getting that done. For a high end butcher shop they need to work on their craft a bit more. I asked for 2 steaks 3/4 of an inch, got 2 steaks at an inch and a half. They happily only gave me one but it was such a horrible cut. Left a huge chunk of fat, uneven slice, vein / blood clot. ( I know that you need to leave some fat to get weight on but that chunk seemed excessive) Aside from that let down, I really recommend coming here. Especially if you become a regular. read more

First and last time. Went for Prime Picanha and turns out this carniceria is selling "select" grade Picanha (no fat cap) labeled as "prime". If the price (sale) is too good to be true, it usually is. Prime Picanha is going at $15-$16 per lb. This carniceria was selling it at $8/lb on "sale". When I asked the butcher why there was no fat cap, he said the only Picanha with fat cap is Wagyu...Not true. Lost a potential customer. read more
