Food arrived nice and hot in heat-retaining travel cases, with serving instruments and sauces. Everyone went through at least two rounds of food, and we still had leftovers! Our friends were more than happy to take plates of food home and we are still eating ours two days later! My kids are really into the pulled pork. One friend remarked that BBQ'd chicken always seems dry, but that this chicken was anything but. The ribs are award-winning for a reason: delicious. You don't even need any sauce on them. Now imagine that you have never learned to associate 'smoked' with 'dry' because you will unlearn this association within moments of tasting their pork, chicken, or -- if you are particularly lucky -- their brisket. A plate of this and some sides (some of which are still also smoked!) may be enough food to get you through your entire day, thus making the drive effectively as much as 3x more worthwhile than it would be in case you do not think barbecue is worth driving out here for. The mac and cheese was dry and had almost no cheese and too much black pepper. My friend says the ribs were good (not excellent) and the chicken was dry and just ok in flavor. He also had the green beans and the corn, which the menu says was "off the cob" but was obviously from a can. I do hope this local business does well and it looks like they have lots of fans.
