Pros: - Great food! AYCE is great value with awesome rice to fish ratio with a lot of extras included (sushi taco, spicy tuna rice ball, edamame, and miso soup to name a few) - Priced very fairly especially for lunch. Definitely recommend the premium menu as there are great one time selections - Lots of seating with TVs playing Kpop. Not a place for peace and quiet, but it is a sushi joint so i don't expect it be Cons: - Rolls are extremely big (usually 12 pieces), so I would tread lightly when doing the all you can eat - Service was great during weekday lunch, but i heard stories of the rounds after the first being a bit slower so I would do bulk of the ordering in the first round - Premium items are limited to 1 order per person and rotate often so if you have a favorite you might not see it in the menu again. Definitely worth ordering as the premium items are usually the best! Overall - this place is great in terms of value and food so I would definitely return!

First time trying this restaurant and we opted for premium menu so we can order nigiri. There are lots of seating inside but it's a small restaurant so it's very cramped. We had a party of 8 adults and got the two tables side by side so it was very long. No one came to remove old plates from the inside end of the table so it got cramped quickly, and the first end had to basically pass our orders down the entire length. Also it took a while to get our food. The nigiri was alright. The best was the salmon belly. I was hoping to try the yellowtail but I'm pretty sure they gave us albacore. It has a really fatty aftertaste to it. The other side of our table ordered yellow tail and it looked way different. The tuna was my least favorite, it was so fishy! And also could've skipped the carpaccio. The signature rolls were decent. More tuna leaning though. Couldn't find a decent signature salmon roll. I will not be coming back. I think their menu has a good variety but quality is not there. Also check your bill because they charged us 9 adults when we had 8 + 1 toddler.

This place truly lives up to their balanced rice-to-fish ratio promise! Came here with 15 people to celebrate a friend's birthday and immediately, I appreciate their lenient, online reservation system. There's no deposit required and I was able to change the headcount multiple times with no issues. It was busy and full when we came at 6 PM on Friday evening but they cleared just enough space for our party. We were shocked from the moment the food arrived on our table. It was aesthetic and different from other sushi places that give too much rice in each portion. This place is definitely worth for AYCE! Premium is for sure the best option, allowing you to order both the front and back side menu items. Everything was delicious and we felt that it was worth the price.

*Visited with a party of 3 around 4:30pm on a Friday This was my 2nd time visiting Sake2Me and this is definitely one of my favorite spots for AYCE sushi- especially it being $40 per person. The restaurant is a fairly decent size- though I believe they are pretty accommodating to larger parties. Their service has definitely improved and their staff is very kind & attentive. OKAY THE FOOD: * Definitely do the 2nd tier (red line) as you have plenty of more options- especially if you love nigiri! * Nigiri - they have a smaller ratio of sashimi slice to rice here, and honestly it's great for AYCE since you're able to eat a lot more nigiri. Keep in mind that each nigiri order comes with 2 pieces :) I am a BIG fan of their unagi, salmon belly, and their salmon & avocado nigiris. * Unagi handroll- you know, I still think about it and it's been 3 days since I've had it. It wasn't stuffed with rice and had a decent amount of veggies that compliment the unagi. I definitely would come back to try more of their handrolls * Special Rolls- we were able to have a few of their rolls (raw & baked) and they were all super yummy.

Came here with some friends to celebrate my birthday, and let me just say--why does ordering feel like I'm taking a sushi test? LOL. This is where AYCE sushi either passes or fails. We came around 3pm for an early dinner/late lunch, which ended up being perfect. By around 5pm, it started getting busier, so we definitely came at the right time. We stayed for almost 2 hours and pretty much had the place to ourselves, with only about two other tables. It was nice being able to sit, chat, and actually enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. The tempura was a highlight--crispy, lightly battered, and super delicious. We ordered two shrimp tempura and one veggie tempura (no surprise eggplant, thankfully lol). The shishito peppers had that fun random spice--some mild, some with a kick, but all really good. And you can never go wrong with edamame, perfectly salted. I honestly can't remember all the rolls we ordered but I know we got the signature Sake2Me roll, plus shrimp tempura, snow salmon, rainbow, kiss of fire, orange blossom, along with a mix of nigiri and other rolls. There were five of us, so it felt overwhelming at first, but since we weren't rushed out, we were able to enjoy everything at our own pace. Service was great--our server was attentive and friendly. All the rolls came out really quickly... maybe a little too quickly. We definitely should've paced ourselves better, but we were ordering with our stomachs, not our brains. Overall, this spot passes the test--no retakes needed.

Sake2Me was my friend group's go-to AYCE sushi spot in Orange County, and when I heard they were opening a location in Fremont, I was ecstatic! This restaurant is located in the Pacific Commons plaza and there is plenty of parking. Since they've opened, I've been to the Fremont location 3 times and they have not disappointed! The fish-to-rice ratio on the nigiri is perfect for not filling your stomach up too fast, and the service has always been quick and accommodating. All of the fish is fresh (or as fresh as AYCE sushi can be, obviously we're not comparing this to omakase-grade sushi) and I always leave feeling quite satisfied with the value and quality of each meal. I usually try to come in on a weekday lunch to take advantage of the value pricing, and their basic menu is pretty extensive so it always does the job! I have never upgraded to the premium menu and still have everything I would want and more. Overall, one of the better AYCE sushi establishments in my opinion, and bonus points for the convenient location!

I tend to keep the expectation low when it comes to AYCE sushi just because places tend to load up the rolls with rice, but I was pleasantly surprised by Sake2Me. They have a good variety from rolls to nigiri to apps which makes it perfect for groups. The fish quality was actually pretty good, I loved the salmon and yellowtail nigiri's. Our fave rolls were the Vivi and kiss of fire. The rolls are well constructed and drizzled with lots of sauce, and we enjoyed all the different flavor combinations. The sushi taco apps were surprisingly good too. Overall I don't think I tried anything that I didn't enjoy. The staff were attentive when it came to taking our orders and checking up on us, although, rolls took a bit longer to come out. But well worth the wait. I recommend making a reservation via Yelp. Overall super painless and enjoyable experience.

Came here for a spur of the moment sushi outing. We decided to try somewhere new and remembered this place. I don't have much high hopes for an AYCE sushi place as I've been disappointed before but my oh my.... This place changed that opinion.. Fish quality was much better than I thought it would be. The nigiri was in smaller than usual sizes but this just allows you to try more. Very very good though ! The appetizers were all good as well. The crispy rice, gyoza , chicken teriyaki all very good and seem like was made to order and not just sitting there. Chicken itself had a good grilled taste to it. Udon noodles were great as well! Soju and beer ... well it's soju and beer. Can't mess that up. Service was quick and attentive as well! Overall great place and would easily come back again.

Made a reservation for 6 people on Mother's Day at 4pm and were seated immediately. It was packed the entire time we were there. Ordered immediately and chose the premium, the appetizers came out quickly and rolls a bit after that but it took about 50 minutes for the nigiri to come out. Ordered a second order immediately after and that one took maybe 15 mins to come out. The portions have increased in size since I last came, nigiri and rolls are proper sized (though I really didn't mind when they were smaller) and what I assumed were going to be maki rolls and hand rolls were the most monstrous creations I've ever seen with their size. Pace yourself on those. Still very good bang for your buck, it's not the most amazing sushi but I'd say on par or better quality than your average sushi restaurant.

Charlotte is amazing!! 3rd day of work... where?! The wait wasn't too bad for Valentine's Day. The selection was huge! Everything was really good. I would skip the miso soup (it was cold), and the tempura (it was soggy and on the oily side)

    Lisette D.

I've been eyeing this place for so long and I finally came around to trying it. This is an all you can eat sushi restaurant. The way that it works is you order in rounds. You can choose the regular AYCE option of the premium option that includes nigiri. Each person in your party is limited to two rolls per round. Meaning if there is 2 of you the max amount of rolls you can order per round is 4. My partner and I got to maybe 2-3 rounds and we're stuffed by the end of it. We had a great experience here, every single roll and plate was brought out in a timely manner. The baked rolls took longer, as expected. And the fish here was fresh! There wasn't a roll that we ordered that I didn't like. The staff here is super friendly and they make sure you have everything you need even if they aren't assigned to your table. I will definitely be coming back here!

Do not bring your first date here because this will be my last date as a woman! Every portion is way smaller than a regular sushi restaurant. I was expecting them to serve sushi rolls in 6 or 8 pieces, but got 4 per plate. The sweet potato tempura was thinly sliced and the fried tofu was kiddie sized. Some of the rice is hard to swallow with unclean cuts of a 5 year old in training. The miso soup have no tofu and the seaweed was a bit undercooked. The only thing I enjoyed is the mackerel and yellowtail nigiri which the rice are hella small. I'm crying on the inside while my date enjoys going here. Prefer to go to a Japanese grocery store for better portions at a cheaper price. Service was fast and the waiters are nice to refill your water and soda without extra charge. The restaurant ambiance remains the same as the previous Madfish restaurant. I just regret coming here to swallow AYCE sushi in three rounds.

Finally got a chance to try Sake2Me Sushi. The parking was easier here on a weeknight. The hype has died down for this place as we had an early dinner with reservations for 4 at 5:30pm. The restaurant filled up around 6:30pm. Modern yet simple decor. Inside dining only. They have separate single user men & women's restrooms. Regular Course AYCE $34.95 Premium Course AYCE $39.95 The nigiri was thin with a small amount of rice. The fish was fresh and bite-size. The rolls were decent sized and the carpaccio was very thinly sliced. You can order up to 5 rounds with 5 orders per person. They do have some food limits on certain items. The dining time limit is 120 minutes. Appetizers: Ika Geso Shishito Peppers (3) Fried Gyoza Vegetable Tempura (3) Agedashi Tofu Albacore Carpaccio (2) Salmon Carpaccio (3) Tuna Carpaccio (2) Mini Sushi Tacos with Salsa Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna Hawaiian Poke Hand Roll: Salmon Skin HR No Rice Specials: Tim (crabmeat, salmon, lemon) Tuna Lover (spicy crabmeat, tuna, avocado) Rice: Fried Rice with vegetables Nigiri: Salmon Belly (limit 1 per customer) Salmon (3) Spicy Garlic Salmon Seared Salmon with Mango salsa Yellowtail (2) Albacore Freshwater Eel (3) Squid Salmon Egg Inari Butter Shrimp Masago Spicy Scallops (2) Seared Rolls: Crazy Salmon: In - spicy Imitation Crabmeat, avocado. I visited with a few friends on the weekend, and the wait time was ~ 20 minutes. It's fairly small inside, so that's fair. Once sat, I made a dash for the complimentary cream soup, which is a childhood vice of mine. Unfortunately, I was left scraping the sides of the metal pot for remnants until they brought out the new pot. I was two bowls in, but I had only caved to hunger and an addiction to be snacking on something. The soup was a bit bland and sour, almost like airplane food. :/ There were also complimentary tea, but these were easy to pass on. For our meal, we had a pork steak and egg, which came with garlic toast and also a beef teppanyaki. The pork steak was way overcooked and tough, not the most fun dish to be chewing on. The beef itself was heavily marinated and way too sweet and salty to enjoy. Overall, eating here felt like a chore, and the best part was... finishing dinner since we didn't want to waste food.

They also offered us a small dish complimentary edamame as a starter and a little scoop of free ice cream at the end, which was a wonderful touch. The food came out really quickly after we ordered. The sashimi was really good! The selection of rolls wasn't my favorite (a lot of them contained crab salad, which I usually don't go for), but I did like the agedashi tofu a lot. If you visit for lunch, they have a couple really great lunch special options. I have tried the 3 rolls for ~$16 combo, and it is definitely worth it. We skipped the appetizers and were unfortunately told they were already out of Uni, meaning the Matsu bowl wasn't available. We both opted for the Take bowl instead. One major downside for me was the pricing. The bowls are already quite steep, so discovering that you have to pay an additional $4.50 just for the dashi broth felt a bit off-putting. Because of that, we chose to skip the broth altogether. As for the food, the bowl itself was flavorful and the portion size was decent. However, given the price and the massive reputation, it didn't quite meet my expectations and felt a bit underwhelming.
