Bad service my girl got her food 15 minutes before me and I saw my soup sitting for a long time . Despite waiting the food was not up to par. 5-10

We came here after a couple of tries to visit and failing due to the parking lot being full. But we were able to find it emptier than usual on a weekend morning. They give complimentary chips and salsa (and some beans/meat dip I think) with your order. I ordered a medium fresh orange juice, the Huevos Divorciados and my partner got the steak and chicken plate. I can't get over how much fat they put in their refried beans. Instead of tasting the beans, I mainly taste the fat, which I am not fond of. The eggs and salsa though were really good and made well. My partner said his steak was pretty standard but that his chicken tasted like canned chicken. The service is pretty good though we did have to flag them down to order and to get a box. After you finish you walk up to the register and pay in the front. There are two large rooms filled with tables and you can sit on either side. The restaurant is very open and big but the parking lot itself is on the smaller side.

We went on a non-busy day and so we got a table really quick. Chips and salsa are free and the salsa is soooo good. We went through two baskets of chips. I also got a agua fresca and it was a big size. They typically run small but the size here was big. I got the tuna molcajete and it was good. Everything tasted fresh. I got a lot of food too. It came with saltine crackers and tostadas. My husband got the mix of meats and also got a lot of food. He also got quesadillas, a side of rice, beans and guacamole, plus tortillas. We definitely had lunch for the next day. I also ordered the Aguachile mixto to go on another occasion. It was good but they left a lot of the veins of the shrimp. They should definitely remove all of the veins. It was gross.

For ordering soup, it took a long time to get served. But eventually it showed up. It doesn't look like much, but it's a deep dish, so there was a lot. It was alright. They had great music on a Sunday morning.

A little hidden gem. La Casita Restaurant took me back to my childhood! The food was great and the wait was reasonable. The ambiance was perfect with the Latin music and wall art. The parking lot is shared with other stores so be aware that you do not park in the limited-timed spots or other businesses. There is more parking towards the back.

I came because it was the only thing that was open, they seated us quickly, they gave us salsa and chips. We ordered mummy shrimp, a burrito, and a tropical aguachile for a drink, a horchata, but the horchata tasted like pure water. The aguachile was like a fruit salad with sprinkled shrimp on it. The burrito had more rice than the rest, and the mummy shrimp are shrimp with crab (imitation crab) wrapped in bacon accompanied with rice, beans and a salad, it tasted very mediocre. They were friendly but I asked two different people for dressing three times and they forgot and when they brought it to me my food was cold. It's not the best, but it's not the worst place, I wouldn't go back, but if you want to try it, they're there.

Worst thing about ordering to go is not seeing the burnt meat until you're home too far to do anything about it

Meat is burnt asked for sauce they said it's in there nope enchiladas with way too much salt too such a dissapointment

The shrimp tostadas are definitely the star -- seriously SO good -- but it's honestly hard to choose a favorite because the nachos and tacos were just as incredible. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and not fatty or greasy at all. You can really taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. Easily the BEST Mexican food I've ever had. Everything was so delicious that I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. The service was excellent as well. 10/10, absolutely worth it!

When we walked in, there was only one person handling everything--taking orders, working the register, and serving food. At first, we thought it was a semi self-service setup, so we ordered at the counter and then found a seat. My husband ordered the steak breakfast, but the steak was unbelievably thin. I got the super burrito, which was not "super" at all--the portion was smaller compared to other Mexican places, and the flavor was pretty bland. We spent about $46 in total, including tax and tip. At least we got to try a place my husband had been curious about, but unfortunately, it's not somewhere we'd come back to.

While it is part of Southland Mall, it's not attached to the actual mall. It's near Panera and several doors down from Panda. Most tables were filled by the time I arrived on Sunday evening but with only 1 person in line to order. I ordered 3 burritos and 2 tacos to go, and it came to about $55, tip optional. To the left of the ordering area, there is a chips/salsa bar with containers for the salsa/lime, and bags and "boats" for the chips. I prepared chips, pico de gallo, and lime while waiting for my number to be called. Thirty minute commute later, I got home, and we took everything out. Chips were large pieces, very crunchy, and still warm (not sure if warm originally or because they were on top of my food). Tacos were grilled chicken and carne asada. There were 2 tortillas as usual and plenty of meat on top. Squeezed some lime on it, and it was yummy, but I should have poured some salsa on it so that it didn't taste as dry. User error, but I didn't want to be greedy with the salsa and didn't bring enough for the chips and meals. My daughter took the chicken taco home but said the pieces of chicken she picked at had very good flavor. She also took her chicken burrito home, so I can't comment on that. My carne asada burrito had ample amount of steak along w/beans and rice. The pico de gallo kept it from being dry, but I didn't like that it had bell peppers in it because to me, even though it's very little amount, it still overwhelms the taste of everything. The burrito was so large that I could only finish half of it. My husband ate the super fish burrito. While he liked it, he said it didn't have enough fish and possibly had too much sour cream and guacamole (which he's never said before!). Also, he felt the cheese also overwhelmed the taste. I'm thinking if there were more fish, it would have equalized everything though. Overall, if I were in the area, I would return but make sure I dine in to get a better feel of all the flavors and possibly order something else.

Los Pericos delivered on what's needed and I'm sure based on how many people I saw come in and out while I was dining in, this is certainly a place for regulars in the area. The restaurant is set up for casual fast dining with plenty of booths with benches for groups of 4-6. Defnintely happy this place was here when I got hungry while running errands in the area.
