What a gem! Everything here is made fresh daily--you can truly taste the difference. The food is outstanding, the service is warm and attentive, and the portions are generous. It's a hidden treasure for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine. I stopped by during the early bird special and was impressed not just by the value, but by how perfectly located and cozy this place is. Highly recommended!

Fabulous restaurant in an old building that has the ambience and service and fabulous food!!' We had Caesar salads, bruschetta, and tagliatelle fruiti di Mari. It was full of seafood and flavor. Highly recommend.

Our waitress was extremely nice and the ambiance of course was very unique and cool. I ordered Maza with penne pasta at the waitresses suggestion and the steak was very tough and the pasta sauce was essentially brown gravy with a little extra black pepper. Definitely an interesting take on a pasta dish and seemed to be relevant to the area but not my favorite and my girlfriend was not incredibly impressed with her food either. I am not someone who is a wine snob, but there is a point in which wine does go bad and the glass of wine I ordered had probably been open for a good couple of weeks and was not drinkable. The price was very reasonable for the quantity of food.

We were seated promptly after being told of a long wait at another nearby establishment we were trying to get into which we probably on second thought should have waited for. We waited awhile for our server to take a drink order as it became clear she was overrun with the 9 tables she was doing. The drinks were all good and we ordered veg spring rolls (2) which came and were tasty with a nice sauce. My daughter had a classic pizza, I the caverns special chicken and my hubs the pasta with burrata. Then we waited again, and again, and again for the check. And again and again and again for the waitress to have a moment to bring the machine for the card. I did feel very badly for her she was doing her best. This place was the most expensive meal we had had in Dublin so far. Unfortunately the next day my husband was insanely sick all night and in the am, probably the burrata is my guess, either too rich or food poisoning.

would recommend this place for a date night, girls night out, or family dinner! the food was AMAZING!!!! we got the steak and the tagliatelle burrata as well as the spaghetti nduja and everything was delicious. huge shoutout for the service as well - they sat us even when we were waitlisted without a reservation and were super attentive and kind throughout the night. 20/10 would definitely come back.

OMG. Where do I even start... the ambiance in the bottom cavern is so intimate and such a great spot for a date. Right in the heart of the Temple bar district without feeling dirty or crowded. The food was absolutely amazing! We originally came for just a glass of wine and ended up staying for a bottle, appetizers, dinner and dessert to go! Highly recommend! 5 stars

I am giving this 5 stars for the food and service . The noise level here is very high but the food definitely makes up for that . The Tiramisu is probably some of the best I've ever had and the vegan bruschetta is excellent along with the mozzarella tomato salad . Top it off with an authentic Irish coffee that was also delicious ! We are definitely coming here again when in Dublin !

Great place for steak, it is listed as an Italian place, but they are good for steak as well. Great selection of red wines, staff is very attentive and they have this fish tanks built inside the table, which I thought it was different. The restaurant is located in the Temple bar area.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

For starters it was some of the worst service I have ever encountered and certainly the worst service for a Michelin Bib Gourmand. For starters my server was ill acquainted with the menu. She had no idea what the cheese foam was other than it was served in a bowl. She brought a wrong starter and insisted I ordered it when I did not. I ordered my steak to be medium it came rare. By the time my main entree had arrived I was exhausted from dealing with this rude, combative and surly individual. The plate of still mooing meat didn't help. I just asked to take it home. Nope, she said we don't pack anything to go. I asked for the manager at that point who pack up my meal and I was finally free to escape from restaurant hell. As for the food, Bread, Cheese foam, Argentinian Steak, It was average and overpriced. And all the bread was easily day old. One and done. Spare yourself the one and just be done.

My first thought was "who comes to Dublin to go to a wine bar?" but my first thought was totally wrong. I absolutely loved La Cava! It's such a cozy intimate restaurant. It gave me lots of West Village (NYC) vibes. Be careful when looking for the restaurant because you can walk right by it, It's a little place right off of Grafton St. It's also located downstairs! Such a hidden gem! We did the 3-course pre-fixe. The burrata was amazing, so fresh! The service was excellent. You were given plenty of time to enjoy your food without being rushed for the next course. The duck was perfect, and the lamb was delicious. For the dessert, the creme brulee was grand. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable! I highly recommend having dinner here if you're in Dublin. Note, the restaurant is small, so you'll be sitting very close to other people. Personally, this didn't bother me, but some people might not love that. But be aware, that they don't accept AMEX!
