After calling around a few shops and checking reviews online, I decided to head in to LA Cellphone MD to get my phone fixed due to the quoted price, my distance to the store and the other good reviews. Yesterday I had dropped my phone and my whole screen popped off. The screen still worked but it wasn't attached to the phone beyond the cable and the cameras and speakers weren't working during phone calls. Because I knew the screen worked I really wanted to go to a shop where I felt I could trust the workers in not trying to upsell me new pieces or parts that I really didn't need or that weren't necessary, I was looking for a good deal and to salvage my current parts. When I got in there they followed the same quote given over the phone (given we could salvage the screen), problem solved to confirm this actually was the problem (I just needed a new camera to make the cameras and speaker work again), and then quickly replaced it. They even reminded me if I checked in I could get a free tempered glass screen so he could remove my current one which had a crack. Overall great experience! Quick, honest and quality. Tip: there are both meters and lots in the area. You may be able to find free parking but you have to look a little harder. I got lucky and got a meter directly in front of the shop read more

Just left this place and got a replacement battery on my iphone 6! There were 3 people ahead of me once I found the place, I walked up, the nice man helped me and changed my battery in under 15 minutes. Will take my laptop and phone back to fix both screens! Bull aside, best spot in LA for your Cellphone needs! Let me tell you about how we found Noor. We live in Oxnard and decided to have a Family field trip. My Mom's phone was just tore up! Needed a whole screen replacement. For months we thought it was just the tempered glass. We ask around and we get directed to him. We arrived to his location and we are greeted by Noor, who is the owner. S U P E R humble human being! I explain the situation and he gave me the price. I turned and told my mom the price and he replied with, "Oh for your mom cheaper! I'll take care of her!" I swear this man is so sweet! This is a lengthy review so if you just want to know whether or not it's sketchy, know this: Noor, the owner of LA Cellphone MD, is a trustworthy man who values his customers and will do what it takes to provide the best possible service. I had one of those weeks where everything goes wrong: I lost my MacBook Pro, broke a brand new bottle of wine, and finally broke my cellphone screen. I, like many others, refused to pay Apple $150 for a glass replacement. Yes, I'm aware of the 3rd party policy but even so I wasn't going to pay Apple that amount of money for a piece of glass. I found Noor's store, who was charing $120, after calling 5 other iPhone repair vendors in the area that charge $170+ to fix an iPhone 7+. I walked to the store, which is located in the busy Santee Alley Fashion District, and was greeted by a customer who was screaming about how they "had broke her phone and that she was going to cause a scene". Of course any normal person would walk the other way, but I stuck it out and watched what went down, I figured it couldn't get any worse at this point. Noor handled himself very professionally and explained to the women beforehand that her phone was turned in with a broken motherboard and that fixing the glass wouldn't solve that. He dismissed her and she never returned, admitting that he was embarrassed that my first impression was watching that go down. I really wanted my phone screen fixed for cheap, so I let him do his work and after about 30 minutes everything was done and he asked me to test everything out. Of course with the bad luck streak that I was having: the earpiece wasn't working. Noor told me to take my phone home and come back in the morning when he would have more parts delivered. I did so and those parts didn't fix the issue. My bad luck strikes again: my phone was one of the few that Apple was taking in and either repairing for free or replacing completely due to a known issue with the earpiece. Noor, being the professional man he is, took my phone for me the next day to the Apple Store and waited hours to get it worked on. He gave me a loner phone the whole time and hand delivered my fixed phone the next day. Business owners like this deserve Yelp positive reviews because their hard work really shines. Noor, thank you so much for your awesome service. I will be back, but hopefully it's later rather than sooner! read more

I kept procrastinating taking my phone and finally today I took it in as I was tired of my broken messed up phone. Not only was my screen completely shattered but I also had problems with my speaker and my front camera. Nor assisted me and he did an amazing job. I (like others on the list) was pretty skeptical about this place, but after getting my phone fixed here, I can truly say, this is the "real deal" - they are "phone artists." I shattered the screen on my gold Samsung S6 Galaxy Edge, and couldn't find anyone that could fix a curve gold Edge screen, let alone quote me a reasonable price for it. I called up and Nuru and he told me he could definitely perform the fix, and would be able to do it within an hour. When I asked him how many he did of these, he mentioned he fixed three the day before. Granted it took a little more time than quoted to perform the fix, but by looking at what he did, I can tell it's a challenging craft, which requires a ton of patience; and you can't rush perfection! Sure enough, he managed to fix my phone good as new, and even put on a tempered glass protector for $10 extra. I could tell they are keen on making sure every customer is satisfied. Very unprofessional, go somewhere professional when handling your precious iPhone! He broke my Touch ID, then blamed it on me saying I probably dropped my phone when I left his store, nope! But even if i did drop my phone, how does touch id stop working from me dropping my phone..truth is, no, I did not drop my phone. Went home, tried to use my touch id and realized it was broken, called him to let him know, he told me to bring it back, I did right away, he took a look and noticed it was broken, and told me he was closing and to come back another day... why tell me to come back if you're not planning to take 15 minutes to fix it? So I came back and his worker didn't have the skills to fix it so I left and came back another time, turns out the owner could NOT fix what HE BROKE. I asked him for 50% off my tab to compensate for breaking my touch id and he threw his bad temper at me saying I broke it!!!! The fucking nerve of this asshole! Obviously does not value customer service, or my time or money - straight rude. Bottom line, unprofessional and doesn't value customer service.
