There is nothing like eating fresh fish for lunch while at the beach. Take that to the next level, and now it's time to have fresh ceviche at the beach as if you were visiting Lima, Peru. The two founders, Leyla and Ximena Yrala, are from Lima and came to Rockaway only to find there was no ceviche at the beach, and thanks to them and the Rockaway Bazaar, there is now. There are many styles, including a vegan option, which we did not order but sounds impressive. We ordered the classic and shared it at one of the picnic tables out front, and Rockaway never felt more Peruvian than that day.

Yummy refreshing chicken salad sandwich. The texture was very smooth and the chicken was not chunky in any way which I enjoyed. I also liked the crispy chips in it, perfect beach snack. It wasn't cheap but it was the most reasonable and affordable thing and service was great so I think overall this was pretty good. Would definitely get again next time I come to Rockaway.

This is one of the eateries along the far rockaway boardwalk between 97th st and 98th st. I got the chicken salad sandwich for $9. This took about 10 minutes to make and the size was so small for the price. It is overpriced obviously because of the location, but it really is not worth it. Also it is a purée of chicken and salad, so the consistency was not to my preference. The flavoring was kind of bland, so you will need the red spicy sauce. I will not order from here again, unless maybe it's a different dish. The vibe is nice though

One of the best food vendors on the boardwalk. Little pricey but everything is always very fresh.

We ordered the sampler appetizer (which consisted of wings, fish cakes, and the spicy shrimp )and we also got an order of the lobster dip with tortillas. For our entrées, we got an order of the oxtails with rice and peas and their version of Rasta pasta with jerk chicken. Everything was cooked very well and tasted good. Nothing really stood out, but it was solid. My friend and I both thought that the food might've been actually a little bit on the bland side.

Veteran Jamaican Chef Devon Strachan prepares dishes from his home that are commonly known, but with his own twist. This is as close as you can get to a five star Jamaican seafood restaurant in the coast of Jamaica, but in NYC. Very clean inside, & very attentive & friendly service. Their whole fish (multiple styles), fish cakes, baked macaroni & cheese, lobster, & oxtail are all the best West Indian versions I've ever had in NYC. They also feature live music on weekends, with a mix of reggae, soca, jazz, & the obligatory classic rock cover bands. My only complaint is that they are not open for lunch during the week - in which case I wld eat here even more often! Writing this review & thinking about their food, is making me too hungry, so I'm going to end it now!

There is a parking lot past the restaurant because you'll see there isn't much street parking near the establishment. The space itself is stunning big windows everywhere that let in the most gorgeous natural light, high ceilings, and beautiful decor throughout. It feels open, airy, and thoughtfully designed. There's also a live singer who performs on weekends and is absolutely wonderful, which adds such a nice touch to the atmosphere. One of my favorite details was the pasta station just behind the bar where you can watch them making fresh pasta from scratch, such a cool experience. Service was great, and our waitress was very patient with all of our questions. Now the food... even better. I had the eggs Benedict, and it definitely did not disappoint. We also tried the crispy calamari, which was fried to perfection, and the meatballs both were delicious. If this was just a sneak peek of what their dinner menu is like, I already know it won't disappoint. Can't wait to go back!
