    Hair cut done by Cinna
    Andrea A.

My husband told me about this place, saw they accept walk-ins Mon-Thurs. We came through, sign ourselves on the list and waited for a barber. Was my 1st time getting my son's hair cut here, so I didnt know which barber, but it didnt matter just wanted my son's hair cut. We got his hair cut with the owner Cinna. He did an amazing job, worked with me to make sure my sons first barber shop experience was a good one. We talked while my son got his hair cut. Really nice guy, like his style and what he's about. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood, or looking to try a new spot. They're 4 barbers here. 2 guys ( primo and Cinna) and 2 girls (gabby and beatriz) $14 cuts $18 appointment $7 design on one side $14 design on both sides Nice small quaint shop. Parking on the street is easy. Wait time is a little long, but if you walk-in what do you expect, especially if they already have appointments. Make yourself an appointment and you can't go wrong.

I posted my review on here to tell about my experience I had at the shop. What makes it unprofessional is when the barber herself and the one who turned my son away marks my review as "cool." Not sure how cool it was to turn someone away after several attempts of making sure my son got a haircut.

I really needed to be clean up as I'll be visiting my parents for our engagement this weekend and since I couldn't use my normal barber I was in a bit of a pinch. Since Covid I've experienced that many places are really hesitant on taking new customers and at first I was told they were closed but I explained myself a bit and I was told I could come in in a couple hours. Their shop felt a little bit like a speakeasy upon entering. I soon met my barber Gaby and she did an amazing job fading my hair and lining up my beard. Im very particular with my beard as it always seems to take a long time to grow past any mistake but I was very impressed with her work and I look forward to my next visit!

Started coming here to follow my son's barber, Beatriz. The place seems trendy is decor. There is no parking so street parking is the only option. The place was playing YouTube music videos during our visit all of which were inappropriate for a kid age 8. The barbers seemed experienced with a strong clientele. I will be back as long as Beatriz is still there. She is extremely detailed and thorough in her craft. Plus she is patient with kids!

Owner of L.A. City Clips Alonso aka Cinna has been cutting hair for years from his garage. He's an excellent barber and conducts himself professionally. He recently opened his new barbershop a couple of blocks away from his house on 4th street. The shop is open Mon-Thurs 9am-7pm and Fri & Sat 8am-7pm. Walk-ins are welcomed everyday except Thursday and Friday with are appointments only. Feel free to text or call him directly to set up your appointment with him or his associate. They cover everything from regular haircuts fades(low, mid, high), tapers Frohawks mohowks edge ups line ups one side design haircut with one side design Full headed design simple design haircut with full head design & kids haircuts as well. I just got my usual mid-fade today with the line up and is perfect as usual. I strongly recommend him if you're looking for a new barber or just want to change up.

More importantly, I needed someone who could handle Asian-textured hair, which many barbers struggle with. Enter Kei. He was also open about where my hair needed more growth before making cuts so I knew what areas would still be a challenge afterwards. Bring photos of your cuts you've loved. Kei uses them to dial in your style with precision. The bonus? The setting itself. You're sitting in a vintage Kochs Chicago barber chair that swivels toward their original hair wash stations, all housed in a historic 1920s building steps from the Eastern Columbia bldg in DTLA's Historic Core. The place has legitimate old-school character. Highly recommend. Book ahead.

I have a fairly simple understanding of hairstyles and proper hair maintenance. The barber Javin asked me questions about my usual hairstyle and went through suggestions regarding trimming technique. Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork.

I'd been getting the same high fade for a decade and wanted to try the longer wave thing everyone's doing. The first barber I asked for it butchered it, mostly because he'd never done a long cut in his life. Gianni took one look, diagnosed what was actually going on up there, and got me to a halfway cut. A couple months later, the cut grew in as he planned and he took me from 80 to 100%, right in time for my vow renewal. His profile calls him the brushback king and I couldn't agree more. Fair warning: he's meticulous, so plan on real time in the chair. You get what you pay for! Also book ahead. At least a month, in my experience. Gianni's popular and I've never once seen anyone get off the waitlist. The shop itself is worth the trip on its own. Great furniture, plants everywhere, and a back patio you can sit on if you're early or just want to hang. Vibes and the place is always clean. Their systems are top notch too. Plenty of notice before your appointment, everything organized, they offer you a drink when you sit down, and they use good products from the wash through the styling. The host is always so nice, everyone there is personable, and the music's great. One heads up: no parking lot. Street parking can be iffy if you catch a bad day, but there's usually at least one spot within a block. Go see Gianni!

I found Aanuko because it's owned by Hanz de Fuko, whose products I use and love. My first cut with Grace was the best I'd had in ten years of searching this city. I booked my second appointment on the spot through their promotion and have been telling everyone I know to come here. Today, that second appointment. I got delayed at Kaiser pharmacy around the corner picking up medication and texted ahead that I was running behind. The salon replied "no worries" and asked for my ETA. Minutes later, they called and cancelled my appointment outright. No offer to shorten the service, no flexibility. A 30-minute men's cut, same stylist, returning client, sitting in my car outside their door. I understand schedules. What I don't understand is telling a customer "no worries" and then pulling the appointment while he's parked outside. If it couldn't be honored, say that in the text. Don't reassure someone and then cancel. Everything I wrote below about the space, the products, and Grace's skill is still true. That's what makes this so disappointing. They converted a customer for life in one visit and lost him just as fast - over ten minutes.

Mid way he asked a second time if I had ever had this hair cut before which I answered yes. Also at the beginning he had mentioned how much are we taking off the top. I mentioned just a little bit and we can work our way down. When it came to cutting the top I feel he had gone too low. At that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. I may come back to try with someone else to cut my hair since I feel the people here have some skill.
