The 1 star review comes from, the lack of communication to the customer. I've been trying to get a hair cut from this place for quite sometime. I found them through an app call "theCut" I had someone respond to me through IG, they never told me if I was able to book with them. I called, no answer. I had 2 of the appointments cancel as well. Embarrassing how they can't simply get back to you. All they care about is digging in your pockets. Hopefully they realize that people do leave real reviews. read more

A day before our wedding my hubby had one job and that was to make it to his hair appointment in Whittier. Don't waste your time here!! Called in for an appt at 1 pm with Luis. I got there at 1 exactly. He had a client in the chair still so the host at the door asked me to wait there inside. I sat down and for 20 mins I watched Luis, as he has a client prepped for shaving, watch football on the tv, talk to his coworkers about music, movies, the game, barely making ANY progress on his client who has a full face of shave cream on and is twirling his thumbs as if he's getting impatient too. Luis never acknowledged me even being there, sitting directly across from him, knowing that I am his next SCHEDULED client. He was too busy caught up in his conversation about his plans after work and for the weekend and about football. I asked the host how much longer, he said a few mins, so I just walked out. Found this spot and messaged what happened to be the owner Eddie responding. Quick response , professional mannerisms. Dude takes pride in his shop and his cutters take after him as well. Showed up at opening time listed stood around for about 15 minutes out front relaxing waiting for the shop to open someone opened the blinds but didn't open up the shop even after waiting a bit longer 25 minutes after opening time doors still weren't unlocked I left. I'm only giving this shop a star because the gentleman I spoke with was polite. I asked if I had to book an appointment and he stated that walk ins were welcome. I needed to take my son on a Saturday and the gentleman recommended coming in between 8-10am. I showed up Saturday at 7:55am and waited until 8:30am. This place was still closed, and yet the hours of business are 8am-5pm. Been coming here for a couple months now. It's hard to find a new barber shop, but this place made me feel right at home. Good Music, sports on the TVs and AC. Theres about 3 or 4 guys cutting hair. Brian ended up taking me on as a walk-in, and he's been fading me up ever since. Takes his time and hes on point every time. So I have been cutting my hair with Eddie the owner and only with him for about 3-4 months but I refuse to go back. Ever since I cut my hair with him I grew out this rash in the back of my head. I went to the doctor and they said it's from someone not cleaning their equipment. Like I said I have only cut my hair with Eddie for about 3-4 months!!! And so I was thinking about it the other day all the other barbers in his shop are spraying something on their clippers before starting on someone new but him he doesn't !!!! I told my wife I never seen him spray anything on his clippers !!!! PLEASE HIS EQUIPMENT IS DIRTY AND INFECTE!!! I will not tell you to go or not i am expressing my experiences. read more
