This has become a regular stop for me on weekday mornings. It's efficient, which is honestly what I'm looking for most of the time. Coffee is consistently good, and they move the line quickly even during busier hours. Not really a place you settle in for a long stretch, but ideal for a quick meeting or grabbing something on the way downtown. Appreciate that it's predictable--same quality every time. read more

I typically gravitate toward independent shops to support local business, but was in severe need of a caffeine boost and decided to give La Colombe a try. I was very glad that it turned out to be an excellent stop! The interior was cozy and bright, and made for a good study or social spot (provided you can snag a table). I was very excited to see that they'd partnered with local bakery Publican Quality Bread (IYKYK- this is a stellar pastry shop). I opted for a strawberry corn cookie and a black coffee. Sure enough, the cookie was outstanding! There were actual pieces of fine corn and strawberry littered throughout with a drizzle of fresh strawberry buttercream frosting. This was my first time at this location. We came around 10 on a Saturday morning and the line was wrapped around the building. It did not take too long to get in. Ordering was quick and the cashier was kind. My daughters and I each ordered a variation of the latte or mocha with strawberry syrup. We liked them but wish it had more of the strawberry flavor. Smaller than other locations but still plenty of tables if you want to sit and sip a coffee or do a little work. It can get very busy, especially on the weekends. The espresso at La Columbe is some of the best. It is smooth and creamy, not bitter at all! read more

I came before work this morning and though there was a decent line, the service was very speedy. The staff was very friendly and works fast. I got a cereal milk oatmilk draft latte and a chocolate croissant. The cereal milk oatmilk draft latte was SO GOOD! Delectably smooth and creamy it was perfect! The chocolate croissant was good too. However the chocolate that was layered on top tasted more burnt than chocolatey, and it didn't have that crisp freshness of a freshly baked croissant. But it was still very good and I would get it again! You really can't go wrong with La Colombe! Their oat draft latte is unbeatable, and they always have fun seasonal beverages too! I wish i'd gotten the espresso drinks instead as the seasonal s'mores draft was way too sweet. The draft lattes are still smooth so i'd recommend for you to try it if it's your first time. Service was quick even though there was a line out the door, and we were lucky to get a table by the window. The ambiance was relaxed and ample table space with relatively quick turnover. Really disappointing experience. Place was not busy - and there were 3 baristas behind the counter. They continued to talk while I stood at the counter. Finally, one came over to take my order. She seemed put out and annoyed. Cost was $20 for a pastry and tea. I sit down and the baristas are literally just standing around, talking, spacing out (pretty sure they were all high). Ten minutes go by and I haven't gotten my drink. I notice that someone came in after me and got their drink made right away. I went up to the counter to check on my drink - they hadn't made it and were like oh yeah working on it. Anyways, finally got it. Too expensive, staff seems annoyed and out of it, food and drink subpar. Just a really downer of an experience. read more

Huge fan of La Colombe coffee so whenever we are in town we make sure to stop by Lincoln Park! The coffee is so smooth! I got to try the Hazelnut draft latte, it was recommended by the barista and described perfectly "it's like drinking ice cream", and it definitely was! Highly recommend for those that love hazelnut! This location is very clean, service is always excellent. Parking is street parking so be prepared for that. They do have restrooms available for customers. They also have a water station so for those starting their day here or taking a break you can refill your water bottle! read more

I love this cafe- this location is really nice and was a short walk from the place I'm staying at. The service was great, the cashier was very friendly and genuinely nice. Tried the oat milk draft latte and it was nice to try something new! Tasted like a healthy version of a regular latte, which had a little bit of sweetness to it and was also incredibly smooth. The folks that work here are very nice and super efficient with making the coffee orders! I was so impressed that my drink only took 5 mins to come out after ordering even though the line was out the door when I arrived. There's not a ton of tables here for working/studying. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy. Clearly, the place to grab some coffee and pastries. Not gonna lie, it's places like this that makes me miss living in the city. Plus, this location is in my old neighborhood. Ordered a draft latte. It was cold out and wanted something hot, but had to try the draft latte since I've never tried one. So so good. It was creamy and smooth. It didn't have any ice so it wasn't watered down. I found my new favorite cold coffee drink! Nothing compares to it. I also ordered a goat cheese tomato pastry. This is a great spot for simple coffee. I was surprised that the coffee did not have a strong bitter after taste. They do not offer many options and no add on flavors, but it was so good I didn't mind. I got a iced latte and added some simple syrup after. The best coffees ever? For the most part, no, but very good enough to be your regular go-to caffeination station. Sparkling and still water on self-serve tap is a nice feature of this Philly chain. Nice spot with indoor seating (nothing outside, really), but it can be crazy crowded on weekend mornings. Good baked goods and chocolates, but nothing for the carb-challenged to munch on. Okay so for my creatures of habit that constantly order vanilla lattes- I encourage you to step out of the comfort zone and come here!! I always get vanilla lattes and was so thrown off when they said they didn't do vanilla flavoring. Soooo, I went with a honey something (it was a while ago, I'm so behind posting this review) and was NOT disappointed in the slightest! The baristas were super sweet and this coffee was so good that I am guilty of buying it at my target in my hometown because we aren't fortunate enough to have a storefront in Louisville, Ky :( Take advantage of having this place here! This is my favorite place to hang out when I'm in Lincoln Park area. The vibes are great for a coffee date or just to chill and do some work. I enjoy talking with the staff too as all of them are quite friendly! My absolute favorite items are their draft lattes, I live off of these. I'm pretty sure this is what made my coffee addiction worse the oat milk draft latte on tap is my all-time favorite. I would drink about three of these a day! I personally don't care for their baked goods as most of them are dry or left out too long. But any lattes or craft coffee is great here! read more

This by far one of my favorite coffee companies. I love their can draft lattes (I may drink one almost every workday morning) and when I come in person I treat myself to a hot latte. I've been to locations in LA as well as Chicago and found then to be consistent. Maybe it's the time of the day but I find they only have like one pastry or cookie in the display and always find myself wishing they had more snack options. Although they were busy I found it easy to get a seat. The shop is a good size but I could imagine it gets crowded on weekends. I always stop by if I'm out and see a La Colombe.
