Great service, tasty unique drinks, not a ton of seating space but it is in an rei... maybe there's more outdoor seating in summer?

Great and quick service! I tried the eggnog latte and loved it! This was my first time trying any type of eggnog COFFEE so I didn't know what to expect. If you're feeling festive I'd definitely go with that choice. I also tried the ham and cheese croissant and it was tasty.

Recently walked into this Coffee shop that is connected to what looks like a big bike shop. I ordered an Iced Mocha Latte with Oat Milk. The gentleman that took my order was friendly, knowledgeable and processed my order quickly. The Iced Mocha Latte was absolutely delicious. I did add a small amount of liquid sweetener because I have a sweet tooth. This drink tasted like eating a dark chocolate bar, that probably doesn't sound appetizing, but it really was. Texture was smooth, drink wasn't diluted and had just the right amount of sweetness with adequate caffeine - enough to power me through my Friday afternoon. Draft latte

The coffee is great! The only complaint is that with any of the draft lattes, after the foam settles (post pour) the cup is only about 60% full. The coffee itself is great but for $8 a cup-not having it filled to the top is a bit frustrating.

Great vibes! This location is attached to the REI right outside of the NOMA metro stop. Even though REI doesn't open until 10, rest assured that you can get your caffeine fix as early as 7am at La Colombe. I shoes up on a snowy morning and had the place practically to myself. The space is modern and well put together. My latte was delicious and beautifully poured. There are a few quick grab and go options as well as drinks made to order. There are pastries and even nitro cold brew on tap. Bottom line:perfect for a post REI shopping binge or an early morning pick me up!

Iced mocha latte with oat milk

I ordered the iced mocha latte with oat milk and it's delish! It's also a bit on the thick side as they are pretty generous with the mocha lol. It has a great deep rich taste. The staff is Also really friendly. Might get a bit backed up depending on the timing of the day. It sits right inside of the REI and next to a brewing as well. Good place for your coffee needs!

Great coffee and pastry and the staff is really friendly. On top of that, it is adjacent to REI so you can watch or shop.

Wowzers, I don't normally like paying $4 for coffee but the Draft Latte is soooo good!

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

All the pastry was delightfully flaky and appropriately filled. Pistachio croissant was dancing on the edge of being a bit too sweet but went very well with my latte. Latte and cappuccino were nothing to write home about, potentially underextracted as there wasn't too much flavor coming through. Totally inoffensive and wouldn't hesitate to get another espresso drink if we were grabbing pastries again. Nice quaint limited outdoor seating. We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a great spot whether you're meeting friends or getting some work done. The pastry case also looked incredible, I had such a hard time choosing, and I'll definitely be back to try more. I ordered a matcha, and I really appreciated that it wasn't pre-sweetened. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh. It was still good, but I do prefer freshly whisked matcha. Even with that, I'd absolutely come back. Their menu is extensive, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and the whole space has such a welcoming vibe. Also, take a minute to read the story behind the name "Tatte." It's such a sweet story and made me appreciate this place even more.

Most recently went as a party of 4 and got the crab beignets, beef arepa, masa gnocci, and parillada for two. Crab beignets were our favorite - perfectly crispy and great flavor. Parillada was a hearty entree and probably best for 2-3 people. This amount of food altogether was just nice. We probably could have ordered one more thing to be extra full.
