I had lunch at La Costa Bora today. I really loved my meal. I had enchiladas with shrimp. I love shrimp, and I've often been disappointed when I order it in tacos, because it's often overcooked or there are too few in an order. That was definitely not the case here! The shrimp were tender, and I had shrimp in every bite. To drink I had my first michelada with the tomato base and a Pacifico beer. It was delicious. I highly recommend La Costa Bora. read more

Brought my wife here on a date one summer night. Cocktails were amazing! Chips and dip were on fire! So good! We just went for drinks but they had a lot of interesting foods that we will have to come back and try. The margarita flight was amazing! Everything from the food to the drinks were amazing! The only thing I didn't like was that their menu didn't have descriptions for their drinks so I had to ask the server what each drink had in it. Our server was super nice and checked on us often. For drinks, I had the pina drink that had the chamoy rim with a lollipop and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Other drinks that was good was the margarita, coco loco and michalada. The food was so good and fresh! For starters they gave us chips and 2 types of salsa (one was super spicy - beware) and then we ordered the ceviche trio! For dinner I got the shrimp plate with the garlic sauce and it was so flavorful and the rice on the side was delicious!! We were in town on a very cold March evening, and needed to find somewhere to have dinner and La Costa Bora popped up on our Yelp search and was only 0.2 miles away! We found parking without trouble and were able to get a table for our group of 5 without a wait. Service was fast and friendly and the complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and tasty! I had a Beso del Diablo cocktail, and it was good; I thought it would have a spicy kick, but I think the spice is just in the jalapeño slices on the top. I had the shrimp enchiladas as my entree and they were very good. The shrimp were tender and flavorful and the green salsa was mild but flavorful. The ceviches looked excellent, and if I find myself back this way, I'd definitely want to try those too! read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and it didn't disappoint! The seafood is fresh, the service is fast and friendly, flavorful and colorful drinks and clean atmosphere. I only have the shrimp ceviche pictured because we literally tore into our main courses the minute they came. Trust me get the ceviche, it is equal parts, flavorful, fresh, refreshing and hands down some of the best I've had EVER. I ordered a spicy fruity cocktail and my boyfriend a classic margarita. Trust me, they are made with real ingredients, none of that fake, sugary, concentrated premix. Very impressed and good amount of alcohol. Really surprised by how this place blew my expectations! The ceviche trio makes a great appetizer for the whole table! We could have easily had a couple of these and been satisfied! I ordered tacos: shrimp, fish, and carne asada. I only got around to trying the shrimp and carne asada because I got too full but it was all delicious!!! For drinks, I tried the coco loco (pina colada) and the michelada (your choice of beer). Both were tasty! This is now a regular stop when in the area. Terrific food. Tried La Costa Bora after visiting the Belvedere area for 10+ years. There are lots of great Mexican restaurant in town and Costa Bora can be added to the list. I had their fish taco and their shrimp taco. I also ordered a fish ceviche tostada and a side order of pinto beans in their broth or frijoles del olla. All the seafood, including my partner's was fresh tasting. There was a not a hint of fishy smell in any of our dishes. The fish, which was white fish was moist and flavorful and sautéed with poblano peppers and onions. The shrimp were plump and also moist and tender. The tacos could benefit from some cabbage or some sort of crunch and a salsa. The server quickly remedied it by bringing me two small containers of their delicious green and red salsas. These salsas by the way ought to be served with the warm, well seasoned chips that came shortly after placing our order. The fish ceviche was also white fish and served in chunks marinated in like along with tomatoes and onions. Delicious. The beans, a preparation not often found in your Mexican restaurant reminded me of my mom's which I miss more than anything.This place has a small but varied menu. Ordered 2 Margaritas and 2 beers, Margaritas came right away, then one beer had to ask for the last beer, server had a little attitude when we asked for the last beer. Not sure why they all didn't come out together. I ordered Chicken Enchiladas which came with choice of green or red sauce. I asked for red server told me that Chicken Enchiladas came with green when I asked if I could get red she told me that the chefs only make it with green, another guest in our party asked for his shrimp enchiladas to have red instead of green and was told we could not substitute. I expressed my displeasure, she said she would see what she could do. Food came with the asked for requests. Food was delicious. Service was friendly, salsa was fresh and tasty, and the evening we came in they had a game where you could reduce your bill by finding Santa hats - they knocked 9% off of our check. The garlic shrimp were good but needed more garlic flavor and the chicken fajitas also had good flavor but the chicken was cut a little too thick my liking but again, good flavor!!
