Good Pho is hard to find in East Houston. I would not have expected to have such great Pho from a restaurant named La Crawfish. This place doesn't focus on Pho, in fact, I believe we were the only ones who ordered it the night we were there. La Crawfish has quite a variety of foods, but the one that appeared to be ordered by most on my first visit was the crawfish. It's a seat yourself kind of establishment, and you wouldn't expect it to be so packed, but there was only one table open on my first visit. I'm glad we found it because now we don't have to travel 20 miles to find good Pho. Oh, and if add the shrimp, you'll be impressed by the plumpness and good size of it. read more

I order LA Crawfish a lot on GrubHub. I love that they always remember everything I order including extra seasoning or side of ranch or whatever it may be. The crab and crawfish are yummy. I think this is place that you have to stick to what you know. Everything isn't good on the menu but the items that are good, are really good! The crawfish pho is delicious. Beignets are really good and different. I wouldn't get a Poboy, rice, popcorn chicken.... this is not the place for that at all!!! The fried rice was so awful, I didn't eat more than two bites. There wasn't enough beef on the fried rice as well. Also, the driver didn't deliver the food at my door. I had to get out of the house and walk around the complex till I found her, took the food from her and got back home. I had to walk way further than where my car was. If I had to walk all the way past my car, I could've just drove to other restaurants and order better quality food for the same price or less. I wouldn't even have to pay the delivery fee. This was my third order from Eat24 and I ordered from the same place the first two times, so I decided to try some new place, and I only have 2 restaurants that offer delivery through this app in my area. My fiance an I checked this out for the first time. Ummmmm. Atmosphere is very college like. The music was insanely loud. But the service was decent. Nothing to brag about. The food, I will say was better than what expected. We sampled the stuffed empenadas cheesy egg rolls and the gumbo. It was pretty good. However the gumbo taste like pho a little too much which was interesting twist. But one thing I would say is they need to hire more staff. We waited forever for the check. It seems the waitress hated her job. had forgotten about us. And she was really unprofessional at times. Would I go back? Get everything you need from you server the first time she comes around because odds are she won't check on you after and even if she does , she'll forget to bring you what you asked for. Been here many times and the crawfish are always a hit or miss with this place. The crawfish is either half dead or not live, when thSometimes they're really good and sometimes they are really bad, but today was the worst of all. The nastiest thing I've ever had. I was served someone else's leftovers. It was cracked crawfish heads, it looked like someone had chewed and sucked them already and a lot of empty tail shells. It was trash. I guess they keep customer's trash and serve it again. Will never return goes without saying. That was the nastiest and worst thing I've ever seen. When I complained i was told that since i had eaten some already they would only charge me for half of the 4 pounds of crawfish so i refused to pay for only half and paid for the entire order but told them i would male sure everyone i know of my experience there. Gumbo was pretty good...beignet fries were also pretty good. Seasoned fries were half way cooked....blue crab was a complete FAIL. I ordered it with the garlic butter and the outside part was spicy and the meat inside had ZERO taste. I got the special on a Tuesday which is 3 blue crab for 2.22. I decided to throw them out because It would be a waste of time to break each crab to find bland tasting meat. The crawfish size was pretty good, overall some not too small ones and definitely some big ones. We ordered both crawfish and shrimp in the garlic butter and Cajun flavor mix in medium spice. I was pretty pleased by the amount of spice and flavor. We also added potatoes, corn and sausage. The potatoes were pretty small but didn't bother me much, I'll just have to order more next time. The menu has a lot of variety, they have pho, noodles, wings, some interesting choices of oysters on the shell, such as ponzu and Korean style. I was intrigued by the menu items and will definitely be coming back to try them. The service wasn't good but wasn't terrible (I've had worse service), my food came out fast, not much of a complaint there. We got the spicy garlic butter and the hot and sour seasonings for the crawfish and hot and sour for the shrimp. The hot and sour on the crawfish was really good! Although, the spicy garlic was not spicy at all and had barely a hint of garlic on it. The shrimp also did not have that much of hot and sour seasonings on it. The sides (corn, sausage, and potatoes) were all really good add ons that you should always get.
