Just after devouring 6 lbs of crawfish and developing a food coma, I couldn't wait to get home to rave about my experience. First off, I was greeted immediately by the young gentleman at the register. If you've read my previous reviews, first impressions are very important to me. Secondly, I pretty much knew what I wanted to order based on all the "good" reviews I read and recommendations from friends and family. FYI ... I am not one of those who judges a book by it's cover. ( I prefer to make my own judgements despite what I read or hear) Anyway, their crawfish was succulent and juicy. Their garlic butter sauce was so good that I wish I had a bowl of steamed rice to eat it with. The lemon pepper wings had a sweetness to it which reminded me of wing stops fries and i love their fries! On to the boiled shrimp, OMG......... AMAZING ! It is a most get item !! Last but not least, I think their beignets are sinfully delicious and even though I felt guilty eating the last piece in the basket that it was served in, I definitely don't regret it. Great spot that rivals Boiling Crab as one of the best crawfish joints in Houston. Food: AWESOME! I ordered the crawfish and seasoned fries and they were both delicious. I love spicy crawfish, and I asked for the spiciest seasoning, and they did not disappoint. The flavors are a good blend of garlic, butter and Cajun red-peppery goodness. They warn you that there are no returns if you can't tolerate the heat; so be prepared to sweat a little, maybe tear up, and blow your nose a few times - spicy! I also appreciated they had two styles of crawfish preparation - you can either get it Asian style (wet/more buttery) or Cajun style (drier). I picked the saucy/wet style. Condiments/Booze: LOVED THE FREE CONDIMENTS. You get to grab as much lime, butter, salt/pepper blend, and Cajun seasoning you want. This allowed me to add a different kick to the basic Cajun blend, which I loved. It's also BYOB -- and who doesn't appreciate cheaper booze?! Location: It's inside Ranch 99 Mart (Asian Supermarket), which I wasn't initially expecting so we drove around a few times before finally calling the place and discovering its location. If you're going with a group of people that aren't fans of crawfish but enjoys Asian food, you can have them grab Pho, Korean or whatever their heart desires at the other food stalls/restaurants in the building and eat together. Set-up: It's basically one of many restaurants in the shopping mart - think a mall food court. You walk up, stand in line, order food and find a seat to lay down your plastic cloth and paper towels and wait for your name to be called to walk-up and grab your food. Pretty efficient set-up if you ask me. Service: Minimalist. The person behind the cash register as you order is helpful and everyone else does their job. I've been here at least once a month either to get crawfish, pho, wings, or beignets for the past year. They are always consistent in flavors. The service is always friendly and laid-back. THAI GREEN CHILI OYSTERS These oysters are so fresh and yummy. I'm a bit sad that they changed the flavoring though. At the other location on 249, they use different chili and it's so good and flavorful, but they changed it to just green chili and this place is also the same.. only green chili. There's still some heat, but the flavors aren't as pronounced and wonderful. Other than that, the oysters are still so juicy and tasty! PHO SATE The pho here is pretty decent. The meat are fresh, but what can you expect? They're located inside a supermarket; so I wouldn't expect anything less. The flavors are interesting and it keeps me coming back every time. SPICY LEMON PEPPER WINGS Their flavors are great! The chicken is crisp on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. I love that you can either just get flats or drums or both.. Hmm, either I completely wrote a review for this place in my head last year or someone deleted my review. Either way, here it is again. As a crawfish junkie, I had been here a handful of times over the last 3 years. I had good experiences the first couple of times. I'm questioning whether the quality of this place has deceased or my taste and standards for crawfish was lower 3 years ago. The last last time I ate at this place, it seems like the crawfish was pre-made and pre-packed for order because the second I stepped away from the order station, my food was ready. That theory was well confirmed when I soon discovered the crawfish was flavorless and all mushy because it was sitting in sauce all day. Which is weird Bc it wasn't flavorful at all. That was the last time I ate here. Because you know, life is too short to eat bad crawfish and luckily for me, I live in houston and I don't have to put up with bad crawfish. Anyway, I came back yesterday Bc a friend (who against my better judgment) still wanted to try this place because she had never been. Trying not to be a crawfish snob, I agreed to give it another try. And two years later, still the same disappointment. Crawfish was small, all mushy and beaten up, and still flavorless. Ugh!!! After I posted the negative review, the owner was really nice about it and explained what happened and apologized. I went back once after that. The service did improve. I asked for wings only and they gave me all wings without giving me a hard time. That's the attitude I wanted. I do appreciate the fact that this place listened to their customers and is willing to accommodate their needs. That's how restaurants survive in such a tough industry. The time I went back the crawfish was good but not amazing (the sauce was not as tasty as usual and I think this had something to do with the quality of the crawfish ). So today my best friend and I went to LA Crawfish.. I've been here a thousand times. But since I'm new to this review thing I'll write one. This place hands down is the best crawfish place in Houston. They sell crawfish year round. For those who don't enjoy getting your hands dirty.. they sell a variety of other things. Today i decided to try the cheese crawfish rolls ($3.99 for 3)... OMG yall, they were so delicious. They came with this almost like sweet and sour sauce but had an extra tang and maybe a little spice.. the sauce complimented them so well.. I've also tried the desert fries. They're basically funnel cake with this glaze sauce drizzled on them. The wings are just okay. But I really can't compare them to other wing places, because theyre specialty aren't wings. First off you can't check in on yelp because of the location? It just keeps saying too far away. However, you can check in on facebook. If you check in on Facebook you get 10% off. Right off the back this place was good in my book. Next, was the price. It was 5.99 a pound on 4/23/11. Which is cheaper than some other places in town. They only offer one flavor, garlic. After you order they hand you a plastic table cloth and a roll of paper towels. It's located inside the food court area of 99 ranch and there are picnic tables in front of it. Corn, sausage, and potatoes are sold separately. It took a couple of minutes for our order to come out, we ordered 6 pounds and when the bag came out it seemed a bit light. We dumped the crawfish on the table and the first I noticed was there was some GIANT crawfish, but as I went on eating, I found some really tiny ones. I want a more consistent size instead of a few jumbo mixed in with small crawfish. As far as the flavor it's the asian inspired west coast still covered in garlic. But unlike some of the others in town, I feel these crawfish are just boiled in normal water then tossed in the flavor, because the crawfish had not much actual flavor just what was on the outside. I have tried this place once before as a friend introduced it (and read tons of reviews off here) So I went to try this place before out movie and I am not kidding.... I am in Love!! (The real kind, maybe because it's February) I ordered 3 lbs of their spicy Cajun craw fish, potato and corn with my good ol' Dr.Pepper! I put on my bib, got my butter and gots to eatin' with their white table cloth that later was turned into brown and red. I then found out why this place is a favorite of Yelpers and glad that I can proudly take part of that. What impressed me the most is how this business cares so much of their clients and go the extra mile to have customers spread the word as we check in, they do give a 10% discount to those who check in as a token of appreciation. The crawfish is weird as many other reviews also say. It seems like it was frozen or soaked also because the shell is so soft and the color of the shell so light. The potatoes were over cooked or soaked because they were squishy. The broth of the pho is a little bland. There was no cilantro, no red onions, and meatballs tasted bland. read more

Great wings, crawfish and fries! They are the best at seasoning. We had the Cajun crawfish which had great seasoning and mediocre crawfish. We also had the hot buffalo wings which were delicious! I would have liked it a bit more spicy but it was overall great - good quality chicken and good amount of seasoning. The fries are large cut and well seasoned and cooked fresh. I was overall happy with the food. The service is order at the counter and very basic. The seating area is ok, nothing special there. Don't go to the bathroom bc it's gross!!! Ugh! Service here is great! I must say though I had really high expectations for this place because of all the raving reviews I have read on here. So far out of all the crawfish places I have been to so far this has the cheapest @ 5.99 a lb. One thing I did like about this place is that you can get your own condiments. You can grab as many lemons as you want and they have all the mayo, butter, ketchup, ranch and seasoning powder anyone can ask for. The size of the crawfish here were huge! However I think I like the seasoning at crazy cajun better, and the corn and potatoes were not so great here. The potatoes were really small unlike the fist size potatoes at crazy cajun and also the corn didn't taste fresh and wasn't very sweet so that was a little disappointing. I have to say that, for a small counter service restaurant inside a shopping center, it doesn't get much better than this! I won't cover what most other reviews already cover, since I am in agreement with most of the other positive reviews. This is one of Houston's best, right up there with Crawfish & Noodles, (what is it about the Asian community that they do Cajun food better than the white folks?). The Butter & Garlic, are LOADED with butter and garlic and you can make them as spicy as you wish. The Cajun flavor is spot on, and as far as the sizes of the mudbugs, they were some small ones (this is the start of the season after all), but also some very generous sized ones. Be aware that corn and potatoes are charged desperately, and you need to specify which bag you want them in if you decide to get several different flavorings, (mine were placed in the Cajun flavoring batch, although I would have preferred them in the Butter Garlic batch had I been given a choice). Also - very cool that they allow BYOB, since 99 Ranch has cold Asian beer to purchase, and of course, nothing is better with spicy food than Singha from Thailand! read more

Working through a list from Spoon University of the 50 Things in Houston you Have to Eat Before you Die. LA Crawfish is number 11 on the list for .... that's right, the crawfish. Went here with my foodie friends and we tried a variety off the menu. I got the crawfish poboy, crawfish empanadas, cheesy crawfish rolls. We also tried both Cajun and garlic flavored crawfish, shrimp poboy, and BBQ crab What would I get again? For sure the crawfish, both flavors were delicious. And they poboys were also okay. I wasn't a huge fan of the slaw on the sandwich so I would ask for it to be left off next time. What would I not get? The cheesy crawfish rolls were heavy on the cheese and light on the meat. The same could be said of the empanadas, the dough was heavy and thick and not much crawfish filling. All in all it was an good place. I loved the set up and the surrounding market. The food was good but not necessarily great. I think it is definitely worth another visit closer to the beginning of the season. read more

I read some of the more recent reviews of LA Crawfish, and I'm glad the negative reviews did not deter me from going. My experience was nearly perfect. We ordered 13(!) pounds of crawfish between the 4 of us, half spicy garlic butter and half cajun. Unfortunately the cajun half was quite bland, but the garlic butter crawfish more than made up for it - it was the best I ever had. The crawfish came out fresh, fast, and piping hot - 2/3 were medium and 1/3 were quite large (and very few small ones). The oysters were large and fresh. And even the shrimp fried rice was delicious. Definitely recommend, and I hope all my visits in the future will be just as great! read more

I've been here a few times now and even though it isn't my favorite place to get crawfish in Houston, LA Crawfish is still pretty good. Ever since I had garlic butter crawfish, it's the only flavor I'll eat so I'm always comparing other restaurants garlic butter flavor to each other. It's not the best I've ever had but it's not the worst either. If Jolynn's didn't exist I'd probably be inclined to say that this would be my go-to spot. But some definite pluses - Service is insanely fast and attentive compared to many of their competitors. One time after I placed my order and went to gather my condiments at the counter, as I was sitting down my order was already up! So, if you're on the go and starving then this is your place. Also, another good thing about this place is that their garlic isn't incredibly strong that you will be smelling it for days like you do at Jolynn's. So, if that's something that concerns you, it's something to keep in mind. I also love that it's located inside 99 Ranch, so I can get some bubble tea right around the corner or do some grocery shopping. Another favorite of mine from here are their beignet fries. They pretty much taste like funnel cake and who in their right mind doesn't like funnel cake? Again, not my default spot for crawfish but it's good enough to satisfy my crawfish cravings. read more

Wifey was craving snow crab so we decided to try the LA Crawfish inside 99 Ranchmart on I-10 and Blalock. We ordered 4 lbs. garlic butter crawfish, 1 pound garlic butter snow crabs, 3 Cajun Blue Crabs, an order if salt toasted shrimp, and 2 Dr. Peppers. $78...crawfish was $8.99/lb, I didn't pay attention to what the other items cost. This is a seat yourself, clean your own table, pick up your own order, canned drinks type of place, so the review and rating is strictly based on food quality and taste. The first item that came out was the crawfish in a greasy plastic bag. I saw other tables had disposable aluminum BBQ trays, so I requested one. The gentleman behind the counter said, "We only give those out if you order 5 lbs of crawfish or more." I gave him a blank stare and told him we had ordered 4 lbs of crawfish, blue crab, snow crab, and shrimp. He said, "trays are $1 each". Not wanting to waste anymore time, I handed over a dollar and took my tray back to the table. Now that we had something other than the table to eat on, I happily tried my first LA Crawfish crawfish. It was...previously frozen crawfish. :'(. Nooooo! The sauce was good, nice flavor. The the crawfish itself was poor quality and very little flavor inside. Out of the 4 pounds we ordered, close to 3 was uneaten and thrown away. We usually order 10-15 lbs at our favorite places. The next item to come out were the salt toasted shrimp, and they were decent. Shrimp tasted fresh, nicely cooked, big shrimp. A little light on the seasoning for my taste, but quality was good. My blue crabs came out next, and this was perhaps the biggest let down for me. I've eaten blue crabs for over 20 years...both fresh caught by myself and steamed, and restaurant. This is the first time I've ever eaten blue crab that had absolutely no flavor on the inside. No natural saltiness, sweetness, or crab flavoring . If I were blindfolded, I would think I were eating boiled tofu. The Cajun sauce was actually pretty good. But, once cracked open the shell, no taste. The bits inside the top shell are usually my favorite since they have so much flavor. But, the crab they served tasted like all the flavor had been washed out of them. Lastly, the snow crabs came out. These were actually pretty good. Good flavor inside and out. Before we left, I went up to the counter and asked a gentleman there if the crabs and crawfish they were serving was frozen. He said, "The crabs are not, but the crawfish are pre-cooked in Louisiana." I said, "thank you" and returned to our table. In all honesty, the place is nice, the people are nice, and some of the food is ok. But, the main attraction, the item that's in the name of the restaurant, for the price per pound, sucked. If the crawfish were actually live, and cooked fresh to order, it would be good with their sauce recipe. But, with all of the better choices available, I will not be back. read more

Friends ordered crab legs to go and brought them poolside. There were snow crab leg and king crab leg. Absolutely phenomenal spices. The large order was intended to be shared with a good sized group but once a few of us started in on the crab we realized that it was too good to spread thin among many. I've been coming to this location for years now. Never had a problem until now. As I was eating food with my family, my brother pointed out a bug behind me. It turned out that bug was a cockroach!! I killed the roach, and again as we ate another roach came out. I never seen so many roaches especially at a restaurant!! This is very unsanitary!!! The crawfish from here is good. Definitely recommend especially if it's in season. I can't get enough of the spicy cajun sauce they put on the crawfish. It make's the crawfish way better. You'll probably need to bring a big drink depending on your spice tolerance! I took away one star because of their inconsistency out of season. This is the 2nd location I've been to and I've had great crawfish at both. I had heard they had habanero flavor crawfish, but I didn't see it on the menu at this location. Parking sucks on the weekends, so be prepared to wait, and be patient. I ordered 4 lbs of the spicy cajun flavor with 1 andouille sausage and 2 red potatoes, for 6.99/lb x 4 + $2 for the add-ins. For about $30, you can have a nice little meal. The heat didn't set in until about 10 minutes of peeling, but then wore off about 15 minutes later and never came back. Drawn butter is up st the register, next to the other condiments. I was able to use the yelp check in for 10% off, for any non crawfish item, like drinks, or fries, or add ins. Size of the mud bugs were small to medium I'd say, there may have been a couple of large ones in my bag. read more

Finally. It's inside the Ranch 99. Kept hearing about this spot so friend and I stopped in one day after work. It wasn't busy yet but prob bc it was only like 5:15 pm on a Tuesday. There are only a handful of tables so grab one. We ordered 4 lbs of crawfish (Cajun), some sausages, corn and potatoes and a bowl of the spicy beef pho (friend wanted to try pho). The food came pretty quickly. The crawfish is in a plastic bag and they give you a plastic tablecloth when you order. You basically eat out of the bag and that crawfish was spicy. The beef pho was ok too. It's BYOB. They sell soda and bottle water. They also have free water in an orange cooler but we decided that was suspect and to avoid it. Fortunately my friend brought beer! Yay! Once you are done, clean up after yourself. There is a trash container and put your bowls on the top part. Overall it was a good experience. read more

4 Stars just for their "Hotter Than Hell" Challenge...3lbs of craw-fish doused in their house ghost pepper sauce (check heat scale here: http://ushotstuff.com/Heat.Scale.htm) , no drinks, no paper towels, seated in seclusion and given 20 minutes to finish. According to the cashier almost everyone quits after the second to fifth craw-fish they eat. She even suggested I just order a pound to try it out. She didn't know who she was messing with and I didn't know how much I would pay for it later. She explained the rules but all I kept hearing was "you have to suck the heads, you have to suck the heads"...that phrase turned into a faint echo as focus made up my countenance and I began to block out everything. The plastic bag full of the devil's bugs was set by my side and the timer started. I grab into the bag, twist the body from the head, suck the head, peel the tail and eat the tiny morsel of meat. I repeat the same process but noticing that grabbing the critters is slowing me down, I dump all of them on the plastic table cloth and go have at it. I hear nothing, I see nothing (some sauce splashed into my eye) and I definitely can't taste anything halfway through the challenge. I'm craving a cold beer at this point (they allow you to bring your own beer). At the halfway point I know I can take the spiciness, I just don't know if this being my first time eating craw-fish will keep me from finishing on time lacking the technique to do so. I lick my fingers (remember no towels during challenge) and this guy is done in 17 minutes. Picture is taken with me holding up a t-shirt that reads "I survived the LA Crawfish challenge BUTT my toilet (pictured) didn't" Now for that Milk Stout that is waiting for me. Couldn't really taste anything after this challenge except for their yucca fries, they were pretty damn good. Yucca fries? In a Vietnamese restaurant which primarily sells a Cajun favorite? Of course I'm rating this in comparison to the Boiling Crab In Dallas. It comes in sloppy seconds for me but since I no longer live In Dalllas and reside In Houston I'm going to give it 4 stars bc it's as close as I found so far TBC. PEAK crawfish season and I got 2 pounds of little baby crawdaddies. The temperature of the crawfish was not hot and at 8.99 lb I was not pleased ! Disappointed at the fact that we had to set our own table cover on and throw away. Leaving no room to WANT to tip ! 11.99 a pound for shrimp .. those came out PIPING hot ! Hard to even peel! The CRAWFISH games have began!! Today, I had to go and get my fix from my favorite crawfish spot in Houston. LA Crawfish off of i10 and Blalock. This place is a little gem #FroRealDoe (Shameless plug). It's tucked inside the 99 Market, which is basically an Asian flee market. The seating is very much mall food court style. You get a plastic table cloth to spread on your table and then you GO IN on some delicious crawfish. They have different flavor choices. I went with a medium spicy, garlic, and Cajun mix. Sooooooo good, y'all! It was not TOO spicy and the garlic flavor was on point. The crawfish was a pretty good size today too. I ate 2 lbs and threw in 4 red potatoes. (The potatoes don't come with the lbs, (BOOOO!) they are a pricey $.50 each - but, whatever! I need my potatoes with crawfish.) All of this came out to about $17 - the crawfish is $6.99 a lb. market price. My cousin also ordered the boiled shrimp and I had no problem helping to finish those too. LA Crawfish is pretty inconsistent when it comes to crawfish but I think that is expected of all crawfish restaurants depending on whether or not it is crawfish season. This LA Crawfish is located inside Ranch 99 and it is one of my favorite crawfish restaurants. Along with my crawfish, I will usually order lemon pepper wings and beignet fries which are always delicious! I sometimes order the corn and sausage with my crawfish as well. read more

I heard so much about this place because my friend's highschool buddy owns this place. Food: I sampled a few crawfish. Rich in flavor - buttery & garlic. I could typically hand very spicy, but their medium was good for me. The spicy would have killed me. 4.5 stars -Wings - delicious spices and they were juicy 4 stars -Gumbo - it was loaded with all sorts of seafood surprises. One bowl will fill you up for sure. 4 stars Service: Great and prompt service Price: It's was a little on the pricey side for crawfish, because we went when it was off season. The prices of the of the rest of the food items were moderate. Tip: BYOB - it's located inside a huge Asian supermarket, so you can easily purchase your alcohol at Ranch 99 and walk right over. BTW, seating is a little difficult if you go during dinner. Get ready to stalk someone for a table. Overall, they have my thumbs up! After binging on crawfish last year in New Orleans, I abstained from them for nearly a year. As I was searching for potential restaurants in the Houston area, I came across this restaurant and convinced my fiance to drive out here for Crawfish. I'm so glad I did and I wished I had craved it earlier as this was good. What I love about this place was that it's so casual and there was no wait when we went. As others have said, it is located in the Ranch 99 building next to a Pho Restaurant in the food court. We ordered 1 pound of garlic butter and 1 pound of cajun spicy. Both were yummy and spicy! It wasn't too spicy. It was just right. Since it was later in the season, the crawfish were huge!! Some of the claws had meat in it. I would have love to order more. We also ordered seasoned fries and pho. The pho was ok. This place has sweet potato fries and wings! I wanted to order so much food but it was just the two of us! Now, I regret not finding out about this earlier because I will not be back to Texas in a very long time. I think I might give Boiling Crab a try after all. read more

Once upon a time, or really just 4 years ago, this place had hands down the best crawfish in Houston. I'm not sure if the management changed, but I've given this place enough chances where I won't be back. The crawfish seasoning is amazing, but the quality of the crawfish is not up to par. The first time, I could tell there were some frozen mixed in with live ones, but the second time, they were all previously frozen and tiny. You can tell by its mushy texture and dark insides that they've been sitting for who knows how long. The wings were still decent, but plenty of places have good wings. How did I not know such marvelous combination existed?! We arrived at the restaurant (it is inside99 Ranch by the way) around 12:30 and there was no line. As we sat and ate, I never saw a line longer than 2 or 3 groups. First of all, their portions are HUGE! We ordered the crawfish pho (for $8 the portion is huge!), a pound of crawfish Cajun style and garlic wings all for less than $22, which is plenty of food for my boyfriend and me. The pho was heavenly - the combination of crawfish, sausage and the noodles were such a great match! The only thing I would say is that the ratio of bean sprout to noodle is almost 1:1, I would order without bean sprouts next time. The crawfish Cajun style is pretty average in my opinion, not the best I've had but still pretty good! A bit buttery. They have plastic gloves for you - just ask! The wings were surprisingly good! I was amazed at how crispy it was on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. For those of you who have not had crawfish pho, I would highly recommend! Late review Given that it's Chinese New Year last week I wanted to go get Asian food but my boys wanted to get crawfish. So as a compromise we went to LA crawfish in 99 Ranch to get some food with Asian flair. We ordered 5 lbs crawfish (spicy garlic butter) and magic Cajun shrimp fried rice. After finishing the 5 lbs my kids wanted another 2 lbs as well as plain white rice which we used the leftover crawfish seasoning to make our own version of LA garlic butter rice. Here's my overview. Food 2.5 stars Crawfish - seasoned perfectly. The hot garlic butter was a killer. Great flavor (sweet and spicy and nice kick). Plenty of flavor that satisfied all of our crawfish craving. One of the best flavored crawfish I have had so gotta give it 5 stars. For the sauce. Unfortunately I can't say the same about how the crawfish was cooked. It was way overcooked. The was mushy and hard to get out. Not like most crawfish places where the meat is plump and easily pulled out from the tail. It was like I was at all you can eat buffet Chinese place that served crawfish ok the side. Really disappointed that the crawfish was so overcooked. Definitely 2 stars at best which averages to 2.5 stars Magic Cajun shrimp fried rice - what a disappointment. Few pieces of shrimp tossed around in unflavored rice which lacked flavor. Only way that made it better was by adding the white rice and splashing the leftover spicy butter crawfish seasoning to the mixture. 3 stars Atmosphere 4 stars. Quick service after ordering (prob why crawfish was overcooked) with plastic table cloth provided so that it's easily cleaned. Also located in food court of 99 cent ranch which made it easy to get food from other places there to sample with the yummy seasoned crawfish. Definitely 4 stars. Over all 3 stars. It's unfortunate that the crawfish was so overcooked and the Magic shrimp fried rice lacked any magic except that it was pricey. I loved the seasoning on the crawfish and it was killer mixed with the rice. We might give it a second chance but given that Houston has plethora of crawfish places that can cook crawfish perfectly it's hard for me to justify giving this place a second chance except that there are variety of other places within the 99 cent ranch food court to choose and given that the crawfish seasoning was soooo awesome I might be persuaded by my kids. But if we do we are definitely passing on the magic fried rice and getting the plain rice and mixing it with the sauce and save some bucks too. Updates review LA Crawfish reached out and offered redemption so once again I took my kids and gave it a second chance. My kids were pretty excited (they loved the crawfish there and since they don't ever pay they were doubly pumped) and I was too (who doesn't love free food). We duplicated our last order with 8lbs of spicy garlic butter, magic shrimp fried rice, and plain rice (to mix with the magic fried rice and the crawfish sauce. Crawfish - as previously noted still one of the best seasoned crawfish we have had. Kids and I absolutely loved it with awesome kick and taste. The combination of the butter, garlic, onions and hot sauce was so tasty. I wanted to take leftover sauce home. In fact next time I will. As for the texture it was definitely better then last time. However I still noted some that were definitely overlooked but vast majority were perfect. Given the taste of that super yummy spicy sauce this can be overlooked Overall 4.5 stars (5++ for sauce and 4 for the crawfish) Magic rice - definitely better then last time. More flavor but still lacked the punch once we added the sauce from the crawfish n the extra white rice it was a killer. 3 stars alone. 4.5 with sauce and plain rice added Overall it was a much better experience then previous visit. Food came out quickly. Seasoning on the crawfish was superb n spot on. Magic rice was better after the additions. So I'm revising it to 4.5 stars (not quite 5 stars yet) PS. Gotta admit that I did get partial subsidy (aka free 5lbs and magic rice) for the return visit but I did pay for the plain rice and extra 3lb crawfish. Would I have returned to second visit without it? Probably not (my kids would have regardless cause they raved about the crawfish seasoning). After this visit I would definitely return as the food was much better as well as that I appreciate business that reach out. Thanks LA crawfish for wonderful experience and great service. You won a customer for life. PSS. You got to check out the other areas in that 99 cent shopping area. I finally tried the Pho, since it's not crawfish season. They had fresh crawfish in stock,mbut I wasn't in the mood to get messy n grub. I had the pho sate. Not so bad & very different. Can't go wrong on the wings!! read more
