Sad that I learned this is a small chain as I am someone who tries to avoid chain-type restaurants. However, the food was incredible and would recommend. Came with a big group for mom's birthday and they were able to accommodate us including cutting cake.
My husband took me here for my birthday dinner after our date at The Alley Theater. It was really nice. When we arrived the restaurant was not too busy, we were seated right away. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice and upscale. It was not too noisy. Our waitress was really nice and accommodating. I ordered the grilled salmon with shrimp and brussel sprouts... really delicious! It was a really enjoyable experience. Note, they do not offer a free dessert for birthdays.

Ended up going around our birthdays and our waitress and one other waiter sang HBD to us. She also brought out bread pudding topped with ice cream with a candle. I'm not a fan of bread pudding so idk how it tasted.

This burger had everything.. Beef, cheese, bacon, blackened shrimp, potato cake & an onion ring, topped with creamy gouda cheese sauce, jalapeño sausage & crawfish tails and a fried egg The food came out quick and our server was fun. Enjoyed eating on the patio and watching the kids play.

Our server Sasha was not the most attentive, we did have to ask for her several times. However Kenny was very helpful, gave great suggestions and was very kind. Our food was IMMACULATE! Everything that was suggested was a great portion, well seasoned, and great temperature. I personally had the oysters and the lamb chops and easily some of the best in Houston!! The ambiance was pretty quiet and nice. Based off the food alone I will be back, but mindful of the service.
We had a great experience at Rouxpour on Friday! We were seated right away since it wasn't crowded. Happy hour offered fantastic deals on appetizers and drinks, so we started with those. I had deviled eggs with double protein, while my partner enjoyed bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers with boudin. Both were delicious, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. For our entrées, my partner had pasta, and I had blackened chicken. These were also cooked perfectly and had generous portions. The drinks were excellent too! Rubin, the night manager, was a wonderful host and encouraged my fiancé to try the grilled oysters, which he surprisingly enjoyed, despite being a picky eater! We will definitely return; the food, service, and ambiance at this place are fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone looking to unwind for the weekend, enjoy a casual outing, or have a special date night!
We visited RouxPour on a Monday night, so it was a bit empty but still lively. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. We were Celebrating my mom's birthday. We enjoyed great appetizers like crab cakes, fondue and deviled eggs. Half of the group tried the Zydeco Chicken, the rest of us had the Etouffe and Flounder. The portions were generous and tasty. But we saved room for dessert, so we tried the decadent chocolate cake and the creamy and delicious creme brûlée! It was a great night and we will return!
I went here for a graduation reception and enjoyed the food. There was a preselected menu and I loved everything I chose. The shrimp and corn bisque was so good! I needed another bowl. The salmon was fresh and the crawfish and lemon butter sauce was good. The mashed potatoes and green beans were seasoned well.
My wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner with a French 75 and a Moscow Mule. The food was delicious.
The Rouxpour was absolutely amazing from start to finish. First of all, the space is super cute. We had a party of six and were seated on the patio, which I was a little unsure about at first, but the breeze and the sound of the nearby fountain made it surprisingly peaceful. Plus, it was great for people-watching with folks constantly coming in and out of the busy restaurant. Our server, Eric, was really attentive and took time to walk us through the menu, pointing out a few of the fan favorites. The whole menu leans into that New Orleans influence, and it definitely delivers. I started with a hearty Caesar salad topped with fresh Parmesan, but I swapped out the dressing for their Creole vinaigrette. I don't know what's in it exactly, but it was tangy and vinegary just how I like it. For an appetizer, I had the crab and crawfish bisque. It was thick, creamy, and rich. Even on a warm summer evening, I didn't mind. My main dish was the crab-stuffed flounder, which had a super generous amount of fresh crab and came with roasted broccoli, purple potatoes, and white potatoes. Every bite was full of flavor and really filling. I wish I had saved room for dessert, but that just means I'll have to come back. The Rouxpour is officially on my list of go-to dinner spots when I want something a little special. The service, the food, and the overall vibe made it a perfect night for our celebration.

I don't know why it took me so long to come here. This Rouxpour (there are more than one) is located adjacent to Memorial City Mall on the Gessner side of the mall near the old ice rink. Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion. read more

The Food was super good . I was amazed at the gumbo . Slightly on the salty side but it was still good . The devil eggs I loved them . I prefer a little kick (spice) but great. The kids fried shrimp was also pretty tasty . Service was very PROFESSIONAL . My waiter was wonderful. What can I say, this is RouxPour, nuff said. Every time I'm in Houston going to RouxPour Memorial City. This hamburger is so one of THE best I ever had. It's piled with so much flavor. When I come here I like eating on their patio. The entire restaurant is a vibe. read more
This restaurant lived up to its reputation as well as the awards that it received. This restaurant offered an exquisite wine list that paired perfectly with each and every entrée on the menu. The gumbo was absolutely delicious! I ended up ordering a 2nd cup to go to take back with me to Maryland. Everyone in my party was pleased with their food! First time checking out the Memorial city branch for a quick business lunch. I used to frequent the Sugar Land location (there are 4 total in Houston). We did a few appetizers and they came out quickly, service was efficient and attentive. I tried out this snapper with blackened shrimp combo and had it customized with the marinara sauce and it came out great, Fish and shrimp were both flavorful, seasoned well without being too overwhelming. Parking is a plenty in this location sharing the lot with Memorial city mall, they also have a patio with TVs to watch sports. Atmosphere can be busy but not loud. Good spot if you're craving Cajun for business lunch or date night. They even have brunch on the weekends! read more

Not what I expected from a classy restaurant Came for brunch and it started with them turning us away due to wearing a tank top. After going and buying a new shirt to be allowed in, we sat down and ordered. The server was very unfriendly. When the food eventually arrived it was totally over salted took away all the flavour. My review is a bit delayed, but I wanted to make sure I recognized our server Rachel she was phenomenal. We dined on a Friday afternoon for happy hour. Food was very good and the atmosphere was very chill. We stumbled upon the restaurant while looking for somewhere fun to hangout. Not only did we have great service, but Nicholas the bartender can make an excellent Old Fashioned. My husband is really over them, but it came highly recommended and he said he was a proper old fashioned how it should be made. Overall we will definitely be back to dine for lunch or dinner. Ask for Rachel and you won't be disappointed. Oh and I have to give props to Adam the manager he was very nice and friendly. read more

I saw that Rouxpour had a Happy Hour for oysters so I thought I'd give it a try! When I was reading other people's online review, it said that they had a dress code so just a heads up (I was wearing business casual). I ordered a dozen oysters, NOLA BBQ Shrimp, and an Ahi Tuna Tataki. The oysters were great! Aside from them being cleaned well, I loved how there were different kinds of toppings to choose from: lemon, horseradish, hot sauce, Mignonette, and an Asian-sauce (cilantro, thai chili peppers, soy sauce, and garlic). As for the NOLA BBQ Shrimp, I loved the creamy garlic mashed potatoes and the blackened shrimp but the NOLA BBQ sauce was a little too salty. Not to mention, their garlic bread could have been a little more crispy to add that texture but still, I enjoyed the dish. Last but not least, the Ahi Tuna Tataki is a refreshing dish and definitely a great choice for something healthier. The jalapeño and wasabi aioli on top gave the dish some heat so just a heads up! Aside from the great food, the servers were fast and attentive. I will let y'all know though, there is an automatic service charge of 15% which I didn't exactly mind paying since my servers did a great job during my dining experience. Overall, I enjoyed Rouxpour's happy hour and can't wait to come back and try their other dishes! read more
Sebastian... Was an amazing waiter! My husband and I made reservations to try it out and we enjoyed it. The ambiance of the restaurant alone was cozy, warm, posh like and overall welcoming. We were greeted warmly and chauffeured to our seats. We ordered a cool whisky flight for the hubby, and a blueberry martini for me which was delicious! I would recommend that martini (first) lol! We started with blackened shrimp (no pic) didn't realize until after the last good bite that I hadn't taken a photo. We also ordered the blackened salmon and chicken with crawfish sauce on mashed which all were scrumptious. Update: my most recent experience at The Rouxpour was very dismal compared to what I am accustomed to expecting from them. The food was great, while the service was average at best considering our waiter was relatively new. In the past I was extremely fond of their old fashions, well apparently now they've moved to prepackaged old fashions which taste like garbage. I wasn't offered a fresh old fashion just a comp for the trash that was brought to me in a glass. They charge an automatic service fee of 18%. This was extremely disappointing still a beautiful restaurant with great food and lots of potential. Won't be going as often or making it a regular date night anymore read more

I've been contemplating writing this review. I went here for my 26th birthday. Wanted to splurge on a nice meal! my waiter " Andrea S. " was so passive aggressive and not knowledgeable with the online menu. Only the paper menu. My husband was trying to order a meal he saw the photo on the online menu. She didn't help us understand anything. It's like she knew tip was included so she didn't care at all. my husband went to ask if they had anything special for birthdays. I'm not sure which waitress he spoke to but he said they told her " no. We don't do that. We've lost too much money doing birthday stuff for people. " .... Ok... anyways we ordered the deviled eggs , my first experience with these were amazing. This time. Salty . Rockefeller oysters were cold and the bread was also soft and cold but tasted burnt ? I ordered the pasta. Didn't even finish it. This experience ruined my 26th birthday. I wish I had dinner somewhere else $100 down the drain and a day I can't re do was ruined. This is my second time visiting . I throughly enjoyed the raw oysters and seafood gumbo, during both visits. The second visit a "service charge" was added to the bill. ( Insert side eye) Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend the raw oysters and seafood gumbo. read more

Who gets the 20% Covid recovery fee?
The staff. Most of it goes to your server and then They tip out to the rest of the staff (busboys, bar backs, bartenders, food runners, etc)
The dress code policy states, "no cleavage". Exactly how much of my decolletage do you want to be covered? Based on the aesthetic of this restaurant, I would assume a nice garment. As a naturally blessed woman in 2022, please elaborate.
My opinion - it's a "use discretion" and/or common sense type approach. It's still a family establishment, so based on that policy, I'd take away from that meaning no ta-ta's hanging out or barely there type attire...naturally blessed or not.
Do you have to make a reservation?
You don't HAVE to but I highly recommend it, especially Thursday through Saturday night. If you are going on a weekend/date-night I would say "Yes, you really should" just to be safe.
Are dogs allowed on the patio?
