Cray-cray 4-1 2lbs Craw fish, potatoes, corn, sausage
    Jellybean A.

Thier crawfish is good both size and taste, considering we are not in crawfish season. I like thier chicken xtra spicy house seasoning. But check this out, I ordered again total 3lbs, one lb of cajune and 2lbs of cray-cray 4-1 but it wasn't three pounds may be 2lbs. C'mon, not the first time eating crawfish( I get like 3-4lbs) and not the first time ordering from here so I feel wronged. When I called to let the restaurant know, a lady answered the phone and she said they have a camera and yap, all within weight. Seriously?? Idk how they do business like this. It was a rip off. Taste though? It was good crawfish, no complaints there.

2 corn and two potatoes in spicy garlicky sauce~ yum!

This is going to be super short and super sweet! I was in the mood for corn and potatoes so I decided to go to a seafood restaurant because I like the way they season the sides. I decided to go here and I was not disappointed. I ordered 2 corn and 3 potatoes, I believe. It may have been 2 potatoes but that's besides the point. I just have to say that I really, really enjoyed my corn and potatoes. They came covered (in a good way, not too much, not too little) in butter and seasonings. The seasonings were on point! The corn was cooked perfectly! Had a nice chew to it. So sweet that paired perfectly with the seasoned butter. The potatoes were cooked perfect, yum! They were not over done or under done. I will be back at some point to enjoy their crab and shrimp.

Hey I just met you And this is crazy But here's my number So, Crawfish maybe? Houston is full of these awesome crawfish shops, and this one has all kinds of New Orleans Food and Asian flavour as well. It's cheaper than most of them, and generous with great flavour, and it's located over at Gessner and Harwin. Definitely some really good stuff. One of the better ones I've tried for Crawfish in town.

It's been quite awhile since coming to LA Crawfish Shack and wow things have definitely changed. The place was dimly lit and just didn't give a clean experience. The limes were brown and let's just say the crawfish tasted old and frozen. I ordered two lbs of live crawfish and it definitely tasted like it had been reheated after being frozen. Very deceiving! I won't be back! I think it's time to close this location down

I will say, being a crawfish fanatic.. the flavor and the HEAT was THERE! It's not just red pepper, it's unique. The crawfish were slightly over cooked. A little dry, the taste was great, just wish they had more sauce in the bag. Wasn't terrible but wouldn't come again Don't take a date here, the inside is very very low class. They do have some beer, Mike's hard and Smirnoff ice. Wait staff wasn't very welcoming either

Nasty don't recommend and expensive salty and fried rice was only with egg and no other vegetables sauce for shrimp all clumpy PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

Food was very good. I been coming here over a year now since I moved to Houston from Louisiana this the best seafood I've had here. Their service is good as well. It's just not all fancy but the food is delicious

It's mid December and crawfish are medium sized. NICE!!!!!
    Nancy T.

Wednesday 12/15/16 Well I'll be damned... It's mid-December and the crawfish was actually REALLY GOOD. Might I mention the crawfish was medium to ALMOST large sized???? wow. It's not even crawfish season and it'ls looking like that. My coworker and I went to another crawfish place last week and we just weren't satisfied. We left not happy. [read other review] We decided to take a long lunch from work and I looked up crawfish places that open BEFORE 3pm. I stumbled upon LA Crawfish Shack and saw the mixed reviews but still went with it. Plus the most recent review was in 10/1/16 and earlier so I didn't have much to read off of. We took a chance. I called and asked for market price and I was told it crawfish is currently $6.99/lb. I told my coworker and we thought it was too good to be true, considered crawfish is not in season and most places right about now are selling at a ridiculous amount. Let me just say, we went, we ate, we ordered more, left happy and full. 8 minute drive to and from work - CHECK Open BEFORE 3pm - CHECK 2 lbs of House Special - DELICIOUS 1 lb of Garlic Butter - DELICIOUS 1 lb of Lemon Pepper - DELICIOUS Order of Seasoned Fries - DELICIOUS The crawfish were NOT puny. They were NOT mushy. Crawfish were not DEAD. [please check photos] My only gripe is that they charge you 50 CENTS for lemons/limes. WHAT. Other places, it's free of charge. I can understand that they charge for like potatoes or sausage or corn, but for LEMONS/LIMES? You've got to be kidding me. I can't eat my crawfish without my salt/pepper/lemon/lime mix to dip my crawfish in. Regardless of the flavor, I've got to make my mix. The flavor, the meat, the size...mind blowing considering it's FREAKING DECEMBER. How is this possible. Atmosphere is good. Lots of seating with booths and tables. Service was really good too. We split our check so that was good. [check receipt] My coworker and I agreed that we would come back.

Came here last year and got the blue crabs with their combo sauce. Not being from Houston I was new to the seafood boils as back home we are big on steamed crabs that's smothered in an old bay seasoning so this was knew to me. I absolutely loved it!! The ambience was very relaxed, in fact I was too over dressed. The sodas are served in a can and the inside looked kind of dated. But the food trumped it all, I cannot wait to return! There was plenty of parking as well.

    Don't go here!

Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.

We started by sharing a couple of appetizers - the smoked redfish dip and the biscuits. I'm weird about smells and aftertastes - and was hesitant to try the smoked redfish dip. The dip was flavorful and very smoky - the crackers it is served with were amazing. The aftertaste was tolerable, but a little fishy for me. The biscuits - I could write poems about them. I'd go back to eat baskets of just those biscuits. Highly recommend. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter - it was amazing. The catfish nuggets were crunchy and HOT (temperature), the fries were perfectly seasoned and the hush puppy was a crunch heard around the globe. Sadly, the shrimp and grits arrived to the table at room temp. The flavor was really good, but I was worried to mention the temp issue and have the kitchen nuke them in the microwave. The red beans and rice were similarly room temp and congealed. The restaurant atmosphere was lovely, the service was solid, and on a Tuesday evening we could have walked in and been seated quickly. Overall, it was a nice evening with our friends. Sometimes the company makes up for small disappointments.

The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind.
