Hank's is a nice hidden gem. It is located in a busy plaza, if you blink you might miss it. The inside is small but there is still plenty of seating. Theres always country radio playing a couple of TVs on. There is always the same guy working as he usually handling tables on his own. When it gets busy, the service might get a little slower but the food still comes out quickly. The crawfish and the shrimp are really good although sometimes the crawfish runs small. The fried food is also amazing. The French fries are a must! The raw oysters are also fresh and delish. The only thing I ordered that I definitely won't again are the charbroiled oysters. They were more like butter oysters with grated parmesan. They don't have a bat but have frozen drinks that's don't taste like much other than sugar and beer. read more

I ordered Crawfish on 9/29/24 and went to pick it up. I had an incident a few months back where I had placed an order and went to pick it up and the worker was leaving out the door before 9pm which was the closing time. He told me that they were closed and I told him that I called and had a pick up order. I ended up having to go to Mambos. I was highly disappointed. After many attempts to contact the Manager Kevin I finally got in touch with him to tell him about the issue. He was pretty non chalant and said that his workers would not do that. I had my call log to prove that his worker left early and I had met him at the door when he was locking up. He said that he could only give me 15% off the next time. He said that he would write it on a ticket and put it on the board and when I come in I could tell the worker and get 15% off of my order. I also was given a 15%off card from a previous order that I brought in just in case there was a problem with them finding the ticket. Fast forward- I'm in the restaurant picking up my order. I hand the guy the 15% off card and he tells me that I cannot get the discount on Crawfish. He looked on the card and said that the card said that it can't be used for Crawfish. I told him that he is the one that stapled the card to my receipt from my previous Crawfish order. I read the card and it does not say anywhere that it cant be used for Crawfish. THIS IS A FREAKING CRAWFISH PLACE-CRAWFISH IS IN THE NAME OF THE PLACE. I then tell him to look on the board and I should have a ticket for 15% off. He found the ticket and it had my name on it. It read 15% off and at the bottom it basically said that I was getting the discount due to a previous order mishap. He called the Manager Kevin first and told him what was going on. I'm guessing that he told him that I could not get the 15% off for Crawfish. When he told me that. I said Crawfish is what I order here. The order that I did not receive, due to HIM leaving early was Crawfish. The order that he stapled the coupon to previously was Crawfish. He then called Lisa the owner to tell her. I'm guessing that she told him that I could not get the 15% off. I said none of these specify that I cannot get 15% off of Crawfish. That is what I order and what is the point of offering it due to their screw up of closing early and me not getting my order due to that. I was done at that point. The customer service is always lacking. The Manager, Kevin lied to me about the 15% and it didn't have any stipulations behind it. They need to stop giving out 15% cards if they are not going to honor them. They are charging $9.74/ lb for FROZEN Crawfish with garlic. They are already overcharging. My total was $31.63 and $4.74 discount wasn't going to hurt them but this review will bring out the transparency in Lisa's shady business practices. When you own a restaurant or any business, there are certain things that you should be able to pride yourself upon and several are being honest, fair, and understanding how to keep your customers-CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lisa lacks all. I've given this place chance after chance. I even stopped going for several years due to Lisa raising the price up when Crawfish Chasers, which I'm a member of, was having a meet up there in June of 2016. I'm done with Hank's. read more

When in the south - eat crawfish...at least that's what we hoped for! We love crawfish, but we also love it a certain way. We love it dripping in butter, spice, and full of flavor. We like them big and juicy - with lots of head juice to suck on. With that said - we had different expectations for Hank's Cajun Crawfish. Crawfish was $4.99/lb and we were sure to ask about their special of "Buy five pounds, get one pound free". I was also certain to ask ahead of time if we ordered two pounds at a time, would we still qualify for their special. They said sure, which is a good thing because we like to order our crawfish as we go, no one likes it cold! It's a good thing we only ordered two pounds though since it wasn't quite what we hoped for. It was just boiled crawfish with some garlic and spices, not the style we desired. Hey, it's not their fault. But it still lacked flavor and had us not wanting more. They also charged extra for butter, mayo, etc. (We thought that since it was cooked in a bag, it might be the way we like it. Not quite.) To fill us up, we had an order of Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, about 10 of them. They were big and oily, and tasted pretty good. (But this place is called Hank's Cajun Crawfish, not Hank's Chicken Wings.) Overall, Hank's Cajun Crawfish was an average experience. I ordered the spicy crawfish in garlic butter sauce and my friend ordered the grilled chicken sub with french fries. The food was piping hot and super delicious. Even though they were slammed, the service was fast, friendly and perfect. In fact, is like this every time I dine here. I love this place. The rice had no flavor and the shrimp were not fresh. They probably came out of a can. We heard Hank's had good crawfish, so we ordered a pound. The crawfish were big and looked great. Unfortunately, they were over cooked with the meat sticking to the shells. It did not look like they had been properly purged and cleaned. Really gross. We're not going back. My sister found a dead roach in her crawfish boil and they would not credit her entire meal at the beginning they only wanted to credit the pound of crawfish. We started with the their frozen margaritas (green in color) which were pretty good! The great thing about Hanks is that they put tons of garlic and when you want spice, they don't skimp. Though the crawfish is usually on the smaller side it's acceptable because they are good and clean. Then there's what I really like at Hanks. Clams by the lb. in the same spicy goodness as crawfish seasonings. I absolutely love how juicy and slurp-able this dish is! And not far behind are the fantastic grilled/baked oysters, they do them without cheese when requested and with tons of garlic and chives in butter, exactly the way I like them. So if you love garlic and you love spice, this place is a winner with fresh clean seafood and very reasonable pricing. The service is quick and friendly too. One downer for me is how run down this location is. I'm not very particular about the place as long as food tastes clean, fresh, and good but was still pretty appalled at how fiendishly hot it was in the restroom and restaurant. It's already a pretty small cramped space, add in eating steaming spicy food and the hot temperature becomes almost unbearable. The tiny restroom could not handle the hand air dryer at all, it felt like I was walking into a sauna. And as much as I love the food/price/service here's the real reason I gave them 1 star only. I don't care if they are tree roaches and the heat drives them inside, bugs are creepy and make me lose my appetite. I was at the end of my meal when I saw one crawl from the wall onto our table and tried to remain clam, Fellow Luncher went all white knight and got rid of it. Only to see another one crawling about on the chair opposite me 2 seconds later. Goosebumps *shudders*-meal definitely over. We came in just 10 minutes before last kitchen call, and appreciatively ordered a few pounds of crawfish, with medium seasoning. Since this was a last second crawfish run, we made the mistake of not reading the previous yelpers' warning of how spicy the medium really was- and boy was it HOT! We drank so much water, our ears were popping like crazy and needless to say, our mouths were on fiiiiirrrrreeee!!! We were pretty much hyperventilating, but we just couldn't get enough! Our 4lbs had a really nice mix of small to mostly big crawfish, and the sauce they're seasoned in (which really was more of an awesome juice) made every tail just delish. We'll definitely be hittin' up Hank's again, but this time at a nice and easy mild level. We'd probably say the rating is closer to three and a half stars, but heck, we round things here on yelp. Just tried their shrimp poboy last night and I am definitely a huge fan of Hank's now. Each was about $6? and they give you such big portions! The shrimp was overflowing out of the poboy so I was able to leave some on the side to pop in my mouth. And under it was the whole plate full of cajun fries. YUM! I also tried their crawfish and it still tastes relatively fresh, even when they're not in season! If you're not looking to pick out crawfish or something fried or raw, I recommend the crawfish etouffee. Comes with bread and rice. Super good! I ordered a lb. of traditional Cajun crawfish and a lb. of garlic butter crawfish ($7.99/lb.), both mild. Then I got 3 potatoes (the sides are 89 cents each or get three for $2.50). The two waitstaff that were working and checking up on us were very friendly and came by often. The atmosphere was bar like with TVs on all the walls and tables/booths. My traditional Cajun crawfish were very flavorful and had a slight kick so I was curious to see what "medium spicy" was if mild tasted like this. The garlic butter was disappointing. It didn't taste of butter at all and the garlic was sparse and just fell off the crawfish. The crawfish in general were huge and had a lot of meat so I was impressed.
