I was walking by and decided to give their store front a chance. I enjoy a good crepe and sounds like a good lunch idea. I ordered their Green Gobbler which consisted of; turkey breast, tomatoes, cheese and avocado. It just wasn't good. Nothing about it was enjoyable. The texture was chewy, the crepe was too thick, the Turkey tasted off and it was soooo greasy. Inside looked like it needed a really good wipe down and sweep. It was hot and stuffy with zero air flow. Plus the price was way too expensive. I paid $16.70 after tax and a tip on top of that. I've never been to their brick and mortar location but this has become a staple for every farmers market trip I take. I've found them at both the Little Italy and Hillcrest farmers markets and it's such a fun treat to get if you love crepes. Their crepe batter is incredible and everything is made fresh when you order, just be ready for a giant, messy crepe (kinda hard to eat while walking around tbh. I prefer salty crepes (and find they usually need extra salt) but the dessert crepes are always spot on. Give them a try next time you're at the farmers market! read more

The guy working at their booth in the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market needs a serious attitude adjustment. Apparently a polite request to have Nutella on the side (instead of putting it inside the crepe) is - to quote the clown at the booth: "making his life too hard". I guess dropping a scoop of Nutella on a plate merits a nasty look and attitude along with further comments of: "why are you making my life so hard?" You almost have to feel sorry for how miserable and pathetic he is. Oh and the crepe was dry like a tortilla or hard taco - completely overcooked and borderline inedible. What a weird and disgusting experience. EDIT: And the weird passive aggressive, semi-coherent reply by the owner below kind of just proves my point. No wonder this place has such a bad rating. I also understand it's hard to find good employees apparently he was having a tough time with a bad employee. so on a whim yesterday I went to Dexter's deli and decided to take him up on the offer to get my refund this time there was a very friendly guy at the counter who is extremely helpful and apologetic once he saw the burnt crepe that I was talking about he was not sure about how to do the refund but wanted to remake The crepe correctly and offered me to come back for the refund but also he wanted to make me a better crepe. Gave this spot a try after seeing it was next door to the barber I also was trying out for the morning. Service was amicable and quick. I ordered a porky's favorite crepe that came with egg, ham, onions, mushrooms. The portions were big. I took it to go. The interior is fairly small and seating is reduced to a pull up seating almost like it's bar style. Eating the crepe itself was a task in my car. I would recommend taking the utensils offered (I passed thinking I could eat it with my hands). The crepe itself fell apart while eating and it got messy. Thankfully the paper carton it came in held all the grease and food that came out of the crepe. There was a lot of grease afterward. I would take one of these crepes next time to eat at home on a table with plates and all. I utilized a bunch of napkins in my car to wipe up (thankfully I always keep a bunch in hand). This crepe spot is next door to where I buy my dog food so we gave it a try. I ordered a california crepe with added spinach for my bfs and a veggie panini for myself. Lucky for them I ordered Togo so they can hide the completely crappy job they did on my panini. I live only 2 blocks away so it wasn't like the panini fell around in the car as I drove home. As soon as I opened my box it was like a deconstructed sandwich. I went in at like 1130 and they were saying sorry 10 mins after I ordered because their panini machine wasn't hot which didn't make sense to me since they opened at 9! When I think of panini I think grill marks, a hot sandwich, and melted cheese. This was the total opposite. I only ate the pieces that didn't have the harissa sauce they added on because my sand which was also soaked with it! As for my bfs crepe, it was like a folded quesadilla it wasn't soft or anything and did not add the spinach as he asked. I will never go here again. I added picture of this deconstructed sandwich. I haven't been to their actual store, but I experienced the Hillcrest Farmer's Market tent with crepes made to order right in front of you. The guy making the crepes is awesome. Such finesse and technique. You can't miss the tent, the line for this place is so long, but worth the wait. The menu offers savory or sweet crepes. The tent has the two round crepe pans perfect for multi-tasking and dishing out crepes for the long lines that form at the Farmer's Market. He even takes multiple orders and remembers them while making the order of someone else before you. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My advice is to add an egg to your savory crepe, it is delicious and mixed in very well. And the Harissa sauce is bomb. The flavor is comparable to the Taco Bell fire sauce, but much better because it is authentic and not a processed sauce. I apologize for even using Taco Bell as a comparison, but if you never had the sauce and wanted to know what the flavor was, its the best comparison I have. Oh horror, simply run! If you are looking for a sophisticated environment or real crepes, do not attempt! The boy who served me was very nice but these people who arranged this place don't know how to make crepes. Either don't have a good recipe or simply don't care to know. My first crepe was undone, tasteless and had a look and taste of a glue- I returned it; the second- a bit better but still way too far from being a crepe to enjoy. I've made hundreds of crepes and I know what goes into a good crepe, this place is an unfortunate disappointment. I kindly suggest to the owners either get to real and delicious crepe making learning or rename the place and call it something else not to mislead customers.
