While out and about in Coronado decided to give Parfait Paris a try. While it is near a beach and lots of tourists it was not as clean as I would have liked. The service was also was a bit rushed and disorganized. We got a tres leches coffee and honey lavender latter. There were some cute desserts so we definitely had to try one, but at $13 + tax ouch. The honey lavender was good, but tres leches was not sweet, but it actually worked out because the dessert was super duper sweet. So if you have a sweet tooth this place is for you. Not for me. Will not return but good to try once if you are on the island. read more

Wanted something simple, quick and easy. And after checking out available options, we landed at Parfait Paris. Going back a little - We ended up at Liberty Station to check out the Tet Festival. Got in some freebie giveaways and photo ops building up our appetite but not wanting anything too heavy. Not interested in the options at the festival, we ended up at the market/shops location. Not a far walk from the lawn where the festivities was. You order at the counter then find a seat. There is a counter - reserved for their customers - otherwise, it's good luck finding a table. Anyway, we shared a Turkey Club, Grilled Cheese and Potato Soup as they were out of Tuna. And iced teas. See pics. Service was attentive, friendly and nice. As we sat at the counter, we even struck up brief conversations. Can't watch them prep the food but it's made to order; so freshly made to order and served on the spot. Sourdough bread - one of my two favorites styles of bread. Toasted and tasty with no skimping on the ingredients. Again - see pics. Everything was delicious and we left no leftovers. Almost forgot to mention parking - it's Liberty Station so good luck if it's busy with events. Parked in the large lot at the Roosevelt entrance. Free. But busy but lucked out and found parking without doing one lap. Bunch of chargers for you EV folks. Only the second place I've eaten here at Liberty Station. I'd want to try other spots but I would definitely go back if I wasn't feeling any of what was offered by the other spots in the market. read more

Came here for the August special, peanut butter jelly time, and it was fantastic. The peanut butter mouse and raspberry jam were very flavorful. The cookie cake bottom was on the plain side, but the other ingredients made up for it. My wife got the peach cobbler croissant. It looked beautiful but it kind of ended there. It was very dry and lacked flavor. She was pretty disappointed. I tried a bite of it and it was pretty bland and dry. The guy working the counter was super friendly. I throughly enjoyed mine but was bummed my wife didn't enjoy hers too. read more

Paid for our order tonight, gave a tip eventhough they don't deliver to our table. The guy says, "Your drink will be right here when it's ready okay?" (He points to the counter on his right). We watch the customers who ordered after us receive their order first. I walk up and ask him nicely, "Is our drink ready?" He looks at the young lady next to him and asks if she made our drink. She shrugs her shoulders, "No," and walks away. This is why I will never give a tip to counter orders again where we have to pick up our own food and drinks!!! read more

Pastries here are pretty decent! I wouldn't say the best pastry place but they did have some unique items. I had the quiche which was pretty good and their creme brûlée croissant. I was curious about the cookie croissant it looked super good. Service was quick but I did go right when they opened. After perusing the Tet Festival on the Liberty Station lawn, we decided to grab some sandwiches for lunch inside the food hall. We did a complete tour of the place and then decided on Paris Parfait, where we ordered a turkey club, grilled cheese, and soup to share, and also 2 iced teas. We both really enjoyed the sandwiches and loved that they were served on toasted sourdough. They were both very satisfying! The grilled cheese was extra cheesy and oh so yummy! The soup was quite tasty as well. I forgot what kind of tea we ordered, but it had a floral note. The sandwiches were freshly made to order and quality ingredients. Service was quick and pleasant. One of my favorite must stop in Liberty Station. This location of parfait Paris is special for the fact it's in our food hall. Updating my previous review to 5 stars because of their almond croissants. Seriously the most delicious thing. The taste and quality has also remained constant over the years. Aside from their pastries, they have other small cakes and macarons as well as coffee and teas. But ugh, their croissants are seriously the best. Located in liberty public market, they have their own small counter space for customers aside from the other tables and areas shared with the other stalls. Service is quick and straightforward. I was very confused to the unpleasant texture. There wasn't any raspberry flavor at all. Cookies & cream gelato - My husband's #1 favorite ice cream flavor is cookies & cream and is very easy to please with any from grocery store to artisan creameries--until he tried this one and refused to eat more. This pastry was hyped up because of the Dubai chocolate craze. The cashier told me these usually sell out fast. I had some and it was underwhelming. Barely any chocolate and it wasn't great. I'm really disappointed with my experience at this café. I stopped in hoping to enjoy a simple coffee and pastry, but the customer service completely ruined it. There was only one person ahead of me, so it wasn't particularly busy. I was standing about two feet away from the cash register area, clearly waiting to order. Instead of politely letting me know where to stand, the man ignored me and took the orders of two other people. I tried to speak up but the man walked away from me. Once he heard me he told me that I had to stand directly in front of the register to be acknowledged. There are no signs or markings indicating this anywhere in the shop. If there's a specific system they expect customers to follow, it should be clearly communicated. Being spoken to in a rude, dismissive tone for something that wasn't explained is unacceptable. A café should feel welcoming and relaxed, especially when you're just trying to grab a coffee and pastry. Unfortunately, the staff's attitude made it anything but that. I have been here several times and I am so surprised that I haven't reviewed it yet. I go there when I am at Liberty Market because I know that I will get the best latte ever. I have had cold and hot lattes there and every time they are made by the sweetest people and the lattes are delicious. I have never tried any of the desserts although they look amazing. It's because when I go to Liberty, I usually want food and then I go elsewhere. I am intrigued by there sign for avocado toast but have not tried it. It is a nice place at Liberty Market to stop by if you are craving dessert, gelato or pastries. They have a nice delicious collection of pastries, Macarons, sliced cake or the whole cake if you want. The service was fast and efficient. We chose Le Noisette cake, it is made of a hazelnut biscuit, crunchy praline biscuit, milk and dark chocolate crémeux and mousse. It was decadent, smooth and really delicious. This review is mainly for the cake. Overwhelming in San Diego to search for the perfect gelato, especially in the busy liberty station, but this chain hits the mark. Gelato here is creamy, not overwhelmingly sweet, no ice, a decent single scoop. And for an extra $2, you can add a macaroon, which is actually a discounted macaroon price. The pistachio flavor was a classic, and tasted like there were no artificial sweeteners. Really lovely flavor profile and went great with the macaroon! read more

A shining gem in an otherwise chaotic food court. So many fancy looking French pastries, some with non-traditional ingredients. Not only do they look pretty, they taste great! Le Rose: It's like this dessert was made especially for me. I love lychee and I love raspberry and this pastry was packed with both in the form of smears, chunks and flavored cream. So delicate and dainty, I had to show some serious self restraint to avoid devouring this all at once. Lemon & Yuzu Tart: Like a lemon curd tart with merengue on top and dollop of yuzu jam. Loved the bright citrus flavors against the creamy textures. Though the merengue seemed a bit too rubbery in texture though, which was kind of odd. In the last 3 months, we've visited Le Parfait 11 times. Mainly because my daughter loves their earl grey tea and rose macaroons. Other flavors we love are passion fruit mango, California strawberry and lavender honey. Usually the macaroons are amazing, but there were a couple of times where we received old macaroons. They were extremely chewy, hard and the flavor tasted off; stale. We've also tried their crème brûlée, lemon yuzu tart and croissant with chocolate. The crème brûlée had good flavor, but in my opinion, the consistency was a little loose. We liked the lemon tart, but we thought it could've used less yuzu. The croissant on the other hand, was perfectly flaky and buttery. I tried to order a crepe once, but was told it wasn't available. Seemed as though, that after a certain time, they no longer offer it. Just wished that was indicated somewhere on their menu. Price ranged from $20 - 45, depending on the item(s) and with tip. Staff were nice enough, but could be much friendlier. Service can also be a little slow. read more
