    La Guantanamera all the way
    Beck E.

Unassuming restaurant with high-quality sandwiches that come out fast (and get inhaled just as quickly). Came here for lunch on a Saturday with my family, and the restaurant was not busy. My husband wanted to try a Cuban sandwich while he was in town, while I opted for La Guantanamera (comes with a soda) because it shared its name with the restaurant. The bread was nicely toasted and was a good combination of crunchy and chewy. My toddler went for the pancakes, which were delicious and came out hot and fluffy. My rating is only 4 stars because I thought both sandwiches were just good, not great. The pork in the Cuban was very juicy, but it wasn't very flavorful to me. My husband really enjoyed it, however.

    This was a great spot!

The Cuban all the way was great! The plate with ground beef was also delicious. We will definitely be back.

Literally the best Cuban I've ever had at a great price. Fresh bread, super juicy pork, with a delicious sauce. The sandwiches are huge and can definitely be shared (I did not). Their cafeteria style plates with meats, plantains, veggies, beans and rice also look SO good. I will definitely be coming back!!!

WOW! This unassuming place is awesome! We got some of everything on the food bar...roasted pork (you HAVE to get some of the crispy skin) delicious, pork steak with onions and peppers VERY FLAVORFUL-yum, Maduros were delicious, pressed-Cuban sandwiches to-die-for, and huge hand-rolled tamales, this will be my go-to when I am back in Seffner- don't let the strip-mall vibe fool you, this is great Cuban fare, period.

Excellent food! I felt very welcomed as I they greeted me and explained the menu before I ordered (without me asking!) My favorite was the pork with potatoes. I recommend having it with white rice. Paid roughly $18 for two entrees, food tastes amazing and very generous portion.

Great little Cuban gem. The roast pork and rice and beans were fantastic. Cafe con leche was on point.

Great steak sandwich. Cuban sandwiches are really good too. Big enough to split between 2 people.

I was devastated and then I found out they had moved to a closer location so I just had to wait for the grand reopening. Stopped in for lunch and was extremely happy I did. The servers were fantastic. Super friendly and helpful since I requested explanations of any menu items that I didn't know. Empanadas are delicious Ropa Viejo is tender and ohhh sooo flavorful! The piccadillo is on point and they make a cuban sandwich that is to die for!! Media Noche sandwich is delightful too. Soups are a tasty and filling treat that will warm your soul! (Plus cuban bread to soak up all the goodness!) It's a simple looking, quaint restaurant in a strip mall with the flavor of Havana bursting at the seams! I moved from the area but I place an order every single time I'm going to be nearby. Usually a large order because I get a few items and will eat happily for a week or so! Good portions are given also. There arent enough wonderful comments I can give about how much I love this food and when you see who's in the kitchen preparing these delicious dishes you can see it's made authentic by an abuela and abuelo! (I'm from Miami but not cuban so forgive my use of these words if not correct!) If you are seeking delicious Cuban cuisine stop in & you won't be disappointed! **Almost forgot about black beans and rice or the yucca and sweet plantains being some of the great sides they offer!

But you just sit back and listen to the Latin music in peace imagining you are in Cuba as you eat. If ambience is what you are looking for, a to go order would be better. Naida makes some tasty Cuban sandwiches here for a good price. The star of the sandwich is Naida's roast pork. It's well seasoned and it totally makes this sandwich shine. I usually get it with everything, but I keep forgetting that they'll include onions if you ask for it "all the way." It's good with or without it, but I prefer it without. Just keep that in mind and be specific if you don't want onions on your sandwich. Naida also makes the best café con leche. I sometimes go there just for Cuban toast and that awesome coffee. It gives me energy! They have a small hot bar area of daily offerings with some kind of rice and beans. It may change daily. I haven't ordered a platter, but I will one day. They do have a tasty arroz con salchichas side item. My mom used to make it sometimes with those little canned Vienna sausages. Yeah, it's a comfort thing for me. They also make wonderful breakfast sandwiches and ham croquettes. El Cuba Cafe is hidden inside of a Circle K convenience store on Bell Shoals Road. It's directly across the street from Publix at Bloomingdale Square. I know it has Cuba in the name, but their is a lot of Puerto Rican representation here. That may also be why I'm so fond of it. It's also super convenient, and the service is great. I usually drive in the back way to avoid all the construction nearby. There's no dining area. You just order your meal and take it with you. It's a no frills kind of place. A real hidden gem!

I've only had Argentinian-style milanesa before, and I can easily say I liked the Teresita style better. The marinara sauce on the milanesa brings enough acidity to cut through the grease from the fried meat -- the meat is thin and crispy, but not at all dry. The fries and yellow rice make the meal an absolute steal based on the amount of food you get. My friend had the fried fish, which looked delicious -- excited to try it myself next time. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

I ordered takeout at lunchtime expecting something fresh and satisfying. The Cuban sandwich was the biggest letdown. They try to get slick by loading you up with slices of ham while giving you very little pork, when the pork should be the star. I even left specific notes on the order: no salami and add mustard. Somehow, they still left a piece of salami in there and didn't put any mustard at all. A Cuban sandwich without mustard? I don't know. It was so bad I had to take both halves of the sandwich and move all the pork onto one side just to make it resemble something decent. There was one tiny slice of pickle. Don't take my word for it--check the pictures. That's why I always include them. The soup? It reminded me of Lipton soup. No knock if you like that, but this was basically Lipton soup with grease. As for the coffee, it was takeout coffee, so I can't even complain too much. I got it to wake me up, but honestly... after this meal, I should have just stayed sleeping. Overall, really disappointing given the expectations.
