Great little Cuban gem. The roast pork and rice and beans were fantastic. Cafe con leche was on point.

Came here with friends for lunch, and it was so totally authentically delicious. I know that because the three friends I ate with were Cuban! It's a small mom and pop style hole in the wall and had food already cooked cafeteria style or you can order off the menu. After looking at the delicious trays of food, I was ordering from there no question. I couldn't identify what one dish was and when I asked and she said Pig's Feet, I said that's what I want!! I also got black beans and rice and Plantains with it, and the three compartment tray was overfilled and almost bursting. Everything was so delicious, I know I have to come back again. The pork was succulent and came right off the bone and in small pieces so it was easy to eat. I asked for chopped raw onions to top the black beans and rice and the kitchen was happy to oblige. The Plantains were perfectly sweet. Server was very pleasant and her English was good. Food and company couldn't have been better! read more

Unassuming restaurant with high-quality sandwiches that come out fast (and get inhaled just as quickly). Came here for lunch on a Saturday with my family, and the restaurant was not busy. My husband wanted to try a Cuban sandwich while he was in town, while I opted for La Guantanamera (comes with a soda) because it shared its name with the restaurant. The bread was nicely toasted and was a good combination of crunchy and chewy. My toddler went for the pancakes, which were delicious and came out hot and fluffy. My rating is only 4 stars because I thought both sandwiches were just good, not great. The pork in the Cuban was very juicy, but it wasn't very flavorful to me. My husband really enjoyed it, however. read more

Not often do I visit Florida, and when I do, I always enjoy good Cuban food. It's just not the taste of Miami but the comfort and memories of what the cuisine does for me. A taste of home if you will. So we were with my mother in law and on our way back to Texas so we decided to eat a Cuban breakfast. As always I had the omelet sandwich Cuban coffee and ham croquettes. Literally the best Cuban I've ever had at a great price. Fresh bread, super juicy pork, with a delicious sauce. The sandwiches are huge and can definitely be shared (I did not). WOW! This unassuming place is awesome! We got some of everything on the food bar...roasted pork (you HAVE to get some of the crispy skin) delicious, pork steak with onions and peppers VERY FLAVORFUL-yum, Maduros were delicious, pressed-Cuban sandwiches to-die-for, and huge hand-rolled tamales, this will be my go-to when I am back in Seffner- don't let the strip-mall vibe fool you, this is great Cuban fare, period. read more

Definitely won't return and don't recommend. I asked for cheese toast with chorizo, and the cashier refused but offered a $7 sandwich instead. So then I asked for a breakfast empanada, chorizo, cheese, and egg - I wish I had taken a photo, there was no chorizo and when I brought it back, the woman in the kitchen tucked a teeny piece of chorizo (the size of a quarter) and tried to insist that 1) it came like that, and 2) that was the amount of meat for the price. Additionally the Cafe con leche was burnt...normally I wouldn't stay at a restaurant that was empty but I did because of the reviews. No way this is the same place. 15/10 do not recommend. read more

Who knew Seffner had such an authentic restaurant. Roast pork with mojo, rice and yucca was enough for two. Chicken soup was some of the best I've ever had. Will def be back. read more

Excellent food! I felt very welcomed as I they greeted me and explained the menu before I ordered (without me asking!) My favorite was the pork with potatoes. I recommend having it with white rice. Paid roughly $18 for two entrees, food tastes amazing and very generous portion. read more

I was looking for a Cuban sandwich closer to home, so I thought I would give this place a try. Stopped in and ordered a Cuban with no lettuce and no tomato. The young girl taking my order seemed confused by this, so I even explained what I wanted. Pork, ham, pickles, cheese and mayo, mustard. To my surprise the sandwich came out with lettuce and tomato of course. So I let the girl know for a third time I ordered no lettuce and tomato. She promptly took the sandwich behind the counter and tore the sandwich apart and started scraping the lettuce and tomato off. Well if you have ever tried to remove lettuce from melted cheese than you know it's not easy. If it was I would have done it myself. There are few things that are more disgusting than hot wilted lettuce on a sandwich by the way. She brought my reconstructed sandwich back out, which was cold by this time and still had disgusting lettuce on it which you could taste. Someone needs to train the girl that if you make a sandwich wrong, you throw it away and start over. You don't tear it apart and repair it and then serve it back to a customer. I would not recommend this place for the unprofessional treatment. Tampa is loaded with a lot better places for Cubans. read more

The food was ok it was made different then was expected and the service was ok not much interaction. the empanadas were well textured but they were limited to what kind such as chicken and beef even thought I like cheese empanadas the only cheese they had was mixed with meat. Along with the lettuce threw off the taste of the Cuban sandwich. The food felt more americanize Spanish then traditional Spanish style cooking. Wow what a gem! My husband and I decided to do date night at home and I was trying to find a cuban place in Brandon and came across this place on Yelp! There weren't a lot of reviews but they were all positive so i thought i'd give it a shot! I went today after work and was surprised to see they close at 5pm during the week so plan accordingly! We wanted to try a bit of everything so we got a cuban sandwich, a chicken empanada, a beef empanada, some plantains and yellow beans and rice. My husband is def a critic and he loved everything. The cuban was made right in front of me with not skimping on the pork or ham and even after apologizing several times for coming in so close to closing time the woman making my food was so nice and accommodating. The restaurant was also very clean which I noticed. The empanadas were made to order since I didn't realize until after I ordered them they were closing up and had put them away and they were HUGE so crispy and delicious. Plantains are always my fav and these didn't disappoint. I feel like I always have to get beans and rice and those were delicious as well. I'll definitely be back to this small business!! read more

We came by on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. It is a bit hard to find, in the area near Tire Kingdom, you have to be looking for it. We ordered pulled pork, yellow rice, black beans and plantains along with a Cuban sandwich. The Cuban sandwich had pulled pork, ham but no salami, I thought a bit unusual (6.99/ 9 inch). To there defense they do not advertise salami just pork, ham and cheese. We had it pressed with lettuce tomato and pickle. It was very juicy from the pulled pork which made it very messy. We thought it was good. The pulled pork dinner was ok, the pork was warm but felt it should have been hotter, the plantain was a bit over cooked for our taste, the black beans and yellow rice were good. The portions was very large and a great price (8.99). The lady serving us was very friendly and was working quickly as it was getting busy. The restaurant was clean and bright. They just opened up here in Seffner. The couple that run this place are extremely nice and courteous. More importantly the food is great!!!! The flavor in the roast pork is out of this world and I can't even begin to explain how much their Cuban sandwich had me stop in my tracks. This restaurant is excellent.........Friendly/nice is the word, plus the food is wonderful! We buy either the pork dinners or the pressed Cuban sandwiches...............consistently good AND large portions; they do not cheat the customer by skimping, at all!!
